The quality is not there~ broken sinks, shower door Leakes, toilet leaked but was fixed, missing paint on walls paid over 1 million. not impressed.

We are so excited about our home! The whole experience was fantastic! Edna and the highland homes team really cared about us! They made sure we we’re getting everything in the design of the home that made sense for us! Our home would not be as fantastic if it wasn’t for the time and care they put into it! The communication and enthusiasm for this project was wonderful! Then during the building process Josh and Jordan and their team made sure we understood every part of the process. They were thoughtful and patient with our many questions! They went above and beyond to ensure the beauty and safety of our new home! We are so happy and grateful to have chosen a highland home! I would advise others to be careful with this builder. Quality of my home was not anything like the model and home has many design issues with many repairs needed again and again. Don’t believe the stories of company values and how they always do the right thing. They don’t. When you need help with repairs and general problems with your home they will turn their back on you.

Don't buy a Highland Home. Just don't do it - if you want to spend nearly a million with someone just get a custom private builder instead. The entire process from start to finish was full of problems over the course of 16 months that it took to build which inevitably also resulted in my mortgage costing almost double what it should have been based on when we started the build... And we even financed through HH loans because we were told we were getting a "deal" - also a huge mistake. If you expect anyone from HH to take accountability for their work and responsibilities, you'll be wildly disappointed. More on that later... The build quality I would rate below acceptable with utterly horrible craftsmanship. The number of times work inside that was "complete" needed to be redone is insane. They source the cheapest, unqualified labor and supplies, then slap an enormous price tag on it because of the "Highland name". But people need to know, at least since 2021, you are NOT getting what you pay for. Not even by a longshot. i.e. Our bathroom vanities are the wrong color, despite numerous efforts to have them correct it, they just told us to accept it as "the batch from manufacturer" - when you pay for a WHITE vanity countertop, it shouldn't be acceptable if it's delivered in PINK, it's actually visibly pink, because the rest of the vanity is clearly painted white. I don't understand how this is debatable. The bathrooms look like cheap motel rooms because of this. The number of corners that aren't straight and actually protruding from the wall at noticable angles, damaged and crooked cabinets, soft-close drawers that literally don't close without being forced after getting stuck. Garbage disposal that broke for no reason after less than a month, poor wiring that trips GFI, broken glass light fixtures, burnt out bulbs, unfinished floors and drywall... The list goes on and on. New construction like these just being built at the expense of the home buyer's sanity, time, money and mental health. We battled everything we could but it shouldn't have to be that way given how much Highland loves to claim they're "the best" - their slogan is "How trust is built" but I can't say I would trust them to even screw in a light bulb at this point. Highland Home Loans - I had to completely micromanage the closing process because they kept giving FALSE information and never paying any attention to details of the documents I already had provided. If you're mortgage company, your customer shouldn't be the one educating you on state laws to follow. They also tried to get personal documents from me through EMAIL. Completely unsecure and I refused to email documents that had my social security number and tons of other data over unsecured email. We finally resolved to using a secure portal which they should have been using in the first place. Additionally they failed to send the mobile notary the day before closing for cosigner in another state, something that they were fully aware needed to happen. Had I not brought up the fact it hadn't been done yet, we wouldn't have even closed on time. Overall, I regret doing business with this company. I've built multiple homes over the last 15 years with various builders and this was my most expensive one, but with the lowest quality I could have ever imagined. Promises promises promises and then there is reality They push to close so they dont have the inventory on their books and 2 months later we still hear excuses Horrible follow up

Our builder Garrett is very professional and helpful. We really enjoyed working with him and had a very good overall experience in this journey.

Drake was wonderful. Kind, patient (answered even my smallest questions; then said it all again when a friend wanted to hear it). He was thorough and made me feel like he worked for ME even though I was so happy to be buying such a beautiful home. If something wasn't exactly to my liking, he got it fixed or moved or whatever the case was. I would buy from Highland again in an instant.

They seemed liked they cared and wanted a very happy customer.

We love our new home There are a lot of little things we felt were not up to highland standards. Like using higher quality light switches and having handles and pulls on cabinets. Seemed to take short cuts on little things.

Highland delivered on its promises and exceeded our expectations. Home looks and feels amazing. Timely response to minor items is beyond professional. This is our second build with highland and we couldn’t have been happier Best builder

I was not as happy with the quality of my Highland home as I was my last one. The mason work was sloppy and the cabinet work was also not the best. My sales person was non-existent, only talked to him 3 times during the process. Didn’t help advise and wanted upgrades but were not aware. Our contractor Alex was amazing. The closing was painless. Overall I would say average to moderate experience.

Thank you Saddle Star team for making my first building experience so awesome! Trevor was knowledgeable and so easy to work with. My neighbor who bought with the competitor commented on how nice my construction site always looked compared to their homes. Trevor went above and beyond during the entire process. Mary and Deb were so pleasant and helpful. I love my new home!!

Highland Homes passed the buck for not having Internet to the Developer. Either way they should have been able to make sure that their new residents get Internet, a basic necessity for work from home folks. They didn't provide any alternatives for this either and their contract states that they are not responsible for making sure Internet is available at their homes. Apart from that they have been very responsive to fix things, and their workmanship seems above average. They charge extra considerably for having rocker switches instead of the toggle switches ($650), adding recessed lights in the bedrooms that should have been included in the original price. Most importantly, one of the windows needed re-glazing and they removed the window to measure it but did not seal it back with silicone due to their negligence. This heavy window fell inwards due to the wind m and almost missed my wife and infant baby by seconds! Would have paid a huge price due their negligence and we just got lucky. Still angry about this incident. The window smashed in so hard that it would have been fatal to my infant and wife. There is no lock on the owner's bathroom, and apparently this is standard with their plan. Any toddler or pet can just push the door open. Apart from all of the above, the house has good finishing. But the window incident and the lack of internet have soured our experience greatly. ... More

I was not ready to buy a house but the amazing Team I have met throughout the process especially Edna and Lonie, the quality of materials used, the finishing of the house, the outstanding customer experience left no room but do business with Highland Homes. Highly recommended !

Great customer service, it was a pleasure to work with your company. We are really enjoying our new home and entire smooth process of building. Every issue was addressed immediately and office was always on top of it.

Jason was amazing to work with from to start to finish, as was Jeff. There are some workmanship concerns on a few places in the house (flooring upstairs, stairs being weak and loud, carpet having places that protrude).

We greatly appreciate the buying, building to moving in journey and most importantly after move in support by Highland Homes. Sia understood our requirements and helped us get the right house and lot of our choice. Alex our builder was always highly responsive and built us a beautiful home ensuring high quality finish. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend!

We love the floorplan and how the home looks, but it was not finished by the closing time despite all the promises and now almost months after closing we still have unfinished items. I spent tons of time following up with the manager on finishing it and very frustrated with it. Thq quality of finishing is another point of frustration. There is no attention to details, a lot of stuff done roughly, uneven, with spots, sharp edges dents, scratches, etc. The builder didn't care about fixing it unless we insist

Highland homes are well built with good floor plans. We are in a new portion of the development and there are 3 developers who build here. We are living in a garbage dump!! The builders make no effort to clean up and theirs trash is everywhere. We are constantly picking up trash out of our yard, some is construction debris and even paper plates and cups from the workers lunches!

Great customer service read carpet experience.

This was my third build and it was a great experience. Carol and John were professional, kept me in the loop and delivered me a home that I love.

Our house has cracks on walls and garage and they continue to extend. We did call it out prior to closing and some of them were addressed. Probably put paint over the cracks. Kitchen cabinets were painted poorly. I requested a few to be redone prior to closing. It was somewhat fixed but overrall cabinets quality especially in the kitchen l would rate 1 star .Concrete in the garage lots of cracks and we were told thats normal unless l can put a coin in the cracks, thats when its considered to be addressed Service and responsiveness was great but the quality not so good

Overall great and stressful experience. I little disappointment my an expired welcome gift.
