I think we had the best realtor that a person can ask for her name was Serena at HMS and Bob was very helpful also.

Everyone involved with the purchase of our home was excellent, from the sales staff to the home project manager to the loan processor.

We got exactly what we wanted. When they said. At the cost they said. What else is there?

Process went well considering covid which made closing two months later. Quality in workmanship was less than stellar, items that were to be finished before closing weren’t and still not completed. Covid again? Other than minor things it’s a beautiful house so I believe we got more for our money with Highland than we would have if we gone with another builder.

1 - Sales experience was great. 2 - Communication during the build process was poor and items that were discussed during sale did not happen during the build. Some of the problems were eventually solved but it was a struggle. 3 - The structural quality of the home is great but some of the finish work was poor (paint, cupboard paint, caulking, tile work, clogged drains)

Project Manager and Sales Specialist were outstanding. Very much enjoyed the entire experience, and so pleased we made the decision to go with Highland Homes.

We had an outstanding experience with Highland Homes. They really believe in their products and do many little things that a new home buyer may not think about. Its really a completed home and ready to move right in. WE LOVE IT!

We had an amazing experience building with Highland Homes. Our Sales people Dolly and Helen and are incredible builder Victor were absolutely the best. They communicate very well and we never felt like we were not getting the info needed, and when there was any issues, they were resolved quickly. The only area that we were not pleased with was the use of In Charge for electrical, audio, etc. They were horrible, but that's for another review. Overall, Highland was wonderful and I cant see us building another house with anyone but Highland...and if we do build another Highland, we would want Victor as our Builder. He is the BEST. ... More

For anyone looking to build or purchase a home, i would highly recommend highland homes. The entire home buying process is smooth and they will work with you on every part of the building process.

I reached out to my realtor in March and told her I was planning to build a 2 story. My realtor informed me of new properties that were in the process of being built in Forney. Ironic thing is that God had been dealing with me about moving to Forney to be in closer proximity to my mom. My mom had been trying to get me to build out there for the past 2 years, in the Devonshire community. Needless to say, I saw some of the 2 story models with another builder; but they didn’t feel like home. On Apr. 2nd, I had an appointment to view some Highland Home two story properties/models. I walked in a model and initially thought the model was a 2 story; but it was not. My daughters and I fell in love with the model. The gentlemen informed me that he had a home that had just became available that day. He took us to the home and you would’ve thought that I had customized everything in the home. From our first visits to home in the area, Highland Homes craftmanship, style and amenities stood out from the rest, and since moving into our new home, even before in working with the builder everything has been fantastic. Then, since moving in, any need that Highland can meet has been met in full. We could not be happier!

They can be trusted. Just follow up on everything being done on your home and if you identify any issue talk to them immediately. They will readily respond to it.

The home-buying process with Highland Homes was fantastic! Starting with the sales office all the way through completion from the builder, it was easily the best experience of all the homes we have built. I've spent most of my business life in customer service, which has made me very aware of customer service and also causes me to put a fair amount of thought into ratings and reviews. The fact that we began the process at the onset of a pandemic and Highland was still able to meet or exceed expectations throughout the challenges of labor/material shortages and cost increases makes their performance that much more impressive. We initially chose Highland based on our agent, who has extensive knowledge of new home builders, saying that Highland has always treated her and her clients honestly and respectfully. And Highland certainly did not disappoint. Of course that isn't to say that every detail along the way was perfect; however, when an issue would arise it was dealt with to our satisfaction every time. Again, with the challenges of 2020, Highland could have decided to take advantage of the situation to maximize their profits; however, they chose not to. And there weren't many builders who made the right choice. We personally knew of several instances from multiple homebuilders that used loopholes to either get out of contracts completely to sell or auction homes at a much higher price or renegotiate the contract to pass along all cost and price increases to the customer. Again, these were contracts that had been signed months in advance, some of which were weeks from finish and close. We expressed our concern and angst to our agent, who had several clients facing similar issues, and she continued to say that Highland was one of the most upstanding builders she works with. At no point were we ever contacted to alter the price or agreement and the home was completed on schedule. I have no doubt whatsoever that Highland was faced with the choice of making far less money than expected off of our home or using shady loopholes to maximize profits. It can't be overstated what their handling of the situation says about their company and those who make the decisions. To be honest, the professionalism alone would have validated the choice to go with Highland; however, the house came out great as well. Those in the sales office and design center did a fantastic job of understanding our vision and steering us in the right direction. Highland even allowed us to make alterations to the floor plan that resulted in turning a single play room into two separate study nooks, each walled off separately and attached to both of our kids bedrooms via a new doorway. Once construction started, the builder was in regular contact, which was important being several states away with limited travel opportunities due to flight restrictions. I would have given the entire process 5 stars even if it wasn't in the middle of a pandemic; however, the fact that somehow Highland provided the best overall home buying/building process we've experienced during such a challenging year is pretty much all you need to know regarding our thoughts and experience with their company. ... We did not have a good experience with sales or project manager. Highland lacks attention to detail. People working on your house don’t even have access to the plans.

Nelli my sales counselor and my builder Ashton have set a very high standard in customer care. The knowledge and expertise was exhibited throughout the process. I have a beautiful home, the timeline was met with no delays, i really felt valued as a customer. They worked hand in hand with my real estate agent and we were in constant communication. All the while me being out of state!
