Our home building experience with Highland was smooth from start to finish. Our sales counselor Kim was knowledgeable, patient, and helpful when it came to making all of our selections. She was thorough in her explanations of the building process and that gave us a lot of trust in the care and quality that Highlands puts into their construction and customer service. Once we started our build, we received consistent and reliable communication with our construction manager, *****. He was truly fantastic to work with and laid out clear expectations for how the process would go, and delivered on all promises made throughout the build. Even post closing, our team at Highland Homes has remained accessible and responsive. Dealing with Devin was a fantastic experience. All the contractors that were here were very nice and easy to deal with as well. My only criticism would be the actual day of closing. It was on time and generally went smoothly. But because we didn't use highlands financing company it felt like we didn't get great treatment. We didn't have information about our left over funds that we should've had before we even came. We were told just to bring a voided check. But that was not the case. Spent about 30 minutes calling our bank having to get information that like I said. We easily could've had if we were told before closing. But I love my home. And I love every other facet of the highland home buying experience. The sales person Bert was outstanding as well. And got answers to questions almost immediately every time he was asked. ... More

Throughout the build and upon first moving in there were minor issues with some of the sub contracted trades. Highland was extremely responsive and took care of the issues as they arose and helped where they could.

Our project manager was extremely attentive to detail, addressed our every need and completed the home ahead of schedule, with magnificent quality.

From beginning to end Troy ***** and Chris ***** provided excellent customer service and followed up on commitments to make sure my desires were addressed in a timely manner.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Highland Homes and my project manager, Jovanny. Throughout the building process and even after moving in, I've had quite a few questions and concerns, and Jovanny has always been incredibly responsive and willing to make sure everything was addressed properly. What has stood out to me most is that he truly cared about making sure things were taken care of and that I was happy with the end result. He and his team have been wonderful to work with, and I really appreciate how attentive and accommodating they have been throughout the process. I had worked with 7 builders before I worked with HighlandHome. The whole process was very smooth, fast, and easygoing. From Sale person to Construction Manager, they are very knowledgeable and friendly to work with. We live out of state and couldn’t meet them in person for some meetings but everything worked out perfectly. Manny ***** and specially Jonathan ***** tried all their best to have the process done well and went beyond my expectation. I really appreciate their efforts and treasure their professionalism! The whole experience of building our home with Highland Homes has been great. We were able to build a great floor plan that works well for us, on our preferred lot, and add some personal touches to the home. It's well built, well insulated, and we've had no issues. And even after the sale, Highland has been quick to respond to issues.

For the most part I've been satisfied with the home build until I saw pictures of the brick and numerous flaws after install. It is absolute crap! There is no way the brick should have passed inspection. Go next door and look at the craftsmanship applied to the same floor plan. Look at my house and it looks like a first time brick layer was assigned to it without any direction or experience. I hate this house! A Custom Care Request was opened. I am confident that a patch job will be done on all the mistakes laying brink and mortar. Years from now it will crumble and I will have to fix it. Another thing that irritates me is seeing a picture of what the brick would look like on a "Highland-Huntington Homes-CBC (dragged).pdf" during the initial sale consulting exterior selection. I liked what I saw in the picture provided. After the brick was installed it looks like a completely different brick choice. Again, I hate it!!! There were other issues requesting a fix that just adds to the poor quality work that should have never happened in the first place. I give Highland Homes a grade of F. ... More

From sales to construction to design, everyone was knowledgeable and kind. For our very first home, going with Highland seemed like a pipe dream, but we found a plan within our budget. Now, we have our forever home.

This is our second Highland and so far we have been just as happy with the experience so far. Any issues have been addressed and continue to be addressed. The overall buying experience was good and were able to move in on the date we needed.

Eric and Tim made everything easy! Eric was awesome to deal with and communication was great. I appreciate all the extra time and thoughtfulness he put into the project. I would definitely recommend Highlands to anybody.

Experience was okay. I do not recommend using the Highland lender and you need to triple check all work done by their trades.

Overall, my homebuying experience with Highland Homes has been very good. The buying process went smoothly, and I've been especially pleased with how responsive the Highland team has been whenever I've submitted an issue or work request. My main concern has been the attention to detail in the workmanship and final finishing. There have been quite a few small items that should have been caught before closing, including missed paint spots, drawers that do not operate properly, HVAC ducts that were not properly installed, and a thermostat that appears to be poorly located and does not read the temperature accurately, along with several other minor issues. I love the house and am very happy with the home overall, but it has been difficult to fully enjoy a brand-new home when I'm constantly finding small items that require another service request. None of the issues individually are major, but collectively they take away from the experience. Highland has been great about responding and addressing concerns, and I appreciate that. I just wish more attention had been given to the final quality-control inspection so these issues could have been identified and corrected before move-in. ... More

David ***** the construction manager was always super courteous and professional. He listened to our concerns and our requests and built us a wonderful home. His crew's workmanship is great also. David also made sure all of blue taped stuffs were completed and kept his promises. Would recommend David and his crew for building your next dream home.
