My salesman Hector was fantastic and very easy to work with. I would go as far as to say, if wasn’t for him, I don’t think I would have gone through with the build. The design center person wasn't very helpful. She was not aware of the costs of most choices and or upgrades which made it very difficult make choices and trying to stay within a budget when we are only allowed a certain amount of to me in the design center. The choices are limited. Our particular floor plan, we weren’t allowed to do similar features like waterfall edge on the counter tops or a decorative hood vent in the kitchen. If I had known that from the beginning I might not have bought the home. 600k plus home and I have an apartment looking hood vent. Most items in the design center are extremely overpriced. 7-8k for moen black faucets and fixtures in 2500 sqft is massively overpriced. Most items in the design studio are just as overpriced. I easily overpaid for the house by about 75k. Spending nearly 150k over the base price (even with the builder incentives) was definitely not part of my thought process going into the build. The builders lender appraised at purchase price to approve the loan, but I’m not so sure it would sell for what I purchased it for. I don’t ultimately ever plan to move so I’m content with the house, but think there were things that could have been done to increase the transparency. In the end the quality is decent and the cost is over priced. I don’t feel like I will have quality issues like with some other builders so that does give me peace of mind. My experience was very easy. I signed, went to the design center and before I knew it I moved in! The communication was very good throughout the entire process.

Excellent support has been provided for early closing of the house and scheduling of all repair works. All identified items were addressed exceeding our expectations.

Everything was great, both Denise and Nick were great. Home is spaced and functions as expected. I appreciate the build quality and workmanship. The house was expensive, but what isn't these days?

Great buying experience. Had some issue with quality but all resolved with some time.

Working with Hector Duenas during sales negotiations and contract signature was very smooth. He was very helpful, responsive and solution oriented. Dealing with Highland Home Loans was not very pleasant. We had to work with 3 different people for several months. We asked 20% mortgage of the house value and at the last minute, 4 weeks prior to closing, our application was rejected which put us very stressful situation. There is a room to improve the screening & approval process at Highland Home Loans. In our case it should have taken 30 mins to accept or reject our application rather than months for a person with a basic financial knowledge. Our project manager Jonathan Mayfield was excellent. He explained us all civil & mechanical details related to the house, addressed any concerns or minor quality issues timely. He is very professional and supportive. It was a great pleasure working with Jonathan. There are few things to improve on quality & layout in or around the house. Highland was very responsive during the home buying process and quickly resolved any concerns identified on our walkthroughs. We've had a couple months in our house now with no issues and are very content.

My experience with Highland Homes goes back to the 80’s as a child, when my parents purchased two Highland Homes in the Dallas area. So, when it came time to purchase a Highland Home for my own family, the decision and trust in the brand was easy, already proven, and well established. I will say that my own experience on the construction side wasn’t flawless, but when it came time to make things right and address found issues, responses and actions taken were swift . Highland Homes, like many truly customer-centric corporations, continues to solidify that their customers (and their name/brand) is important in their continued success. Unfortunately, the barn door has been mistakenly built (not per dwgs), and it's been 2 months without a resolution to this mistake.

We are blessed to have made this purchase with highland . Quality was excellent.

Buying experience excellent but too many amenities were upgrades. Superintendent not as attentive once you’ve gone to closing. No real follow through.

Everyone we interacted and worked with at Highland were great. The Bridgeland sales, admin and construction folks were very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend Highland as a conscience and professional organization.

The tile in the master bath was not up to par but he came back and made it look better. the first painters were terrible, there chaucking sucked but Harrison brought in another painter and they were great, we had a problem finding the brick must of the samples they didn't make anymore. All other issues were done except the floor they have it schedule some time in December

Overall they are very good, a pleasure to deal with. Afer purchasing the house, we've found some materials that lack quality, small items, but they should pay mor attention to those details

Working with our salesman, Hector, was great. He could be working on 10 projects and never miss a beat! Our builder, David, made great effort to accommodate our wishes-even when they couldn’t get our first choices in tile. They ripped a whole section out to redo tile to keep our original vision. After moving in, there have been the inevitable kinks. I’ve been impressed with every worker who has come back to make things right.

This experience was perfect for me. Every wish was fulfilled and timely. All the services of the home was taken care of by knowledgeable trade personal. I had no worries and this is so important at 85 years old. Service at its very best and I love my Highland Home.

Jason was great sales person and Jared was also great. Communication was great and upto our satisfaction. The only constructive feedback I would like to give them is that they should be consistent in offering upgrades to the neighbors for example there was an option to add a gate on the back fence which was missed for me where is there a couple of options that were missed for my neighbors. If there is a script that they can follow or list of items that they can follow for upgrades or any other things that could be great. Also there should be a way to record the walk-through meeting when they explain everything because it is hard to remember in the excitement of looking at the home.
