Our builder was incredible. Responsive, skilled, and completely in touch with us the entire way through.

The team was very responsive and walked us through the process. The purchasing process was smooth with no issues. For the price point oh the house we we disappointed with the finish quality / lack of detail in the finish quality. There are soooooo many paint issues. The quality of doors, molding and window sill are poor and lack the proper finish. There are paint spots all over the floor, still working with John to resolve. The flooring boards chosen are of bad quality. We have many many splinters as we don’t where shoes in our house. I’ve now taped them up. It’s been over a month that I’ve eased the issue with John. No resolve yet. Personally the floor need to be replaced due to bad batch of floor boards. Land grading is another issue. I have sod washing away with rain. This has now happened twice, with no response of the issue. I have over 18 different issues raided with John in the past month and a half. Over all we are very disappointed with finish quality of the house. I’ve worked with 3 different builders over my lifetime and very much surprised on the finish quality for being Pulte. JW is supposed to be a higher end brand with certain finesse. This is nothing more then a Pulti build using the JW name. ... More

Overall pretty good experience including after sale’s warranty program.

Found numerous problems with the finish quality which could have been easily caught and rectified before sending it for closing. Did not feel like it is worth the money. It was evident that workers did not took good care of the house while they were working, scratches dents, over painting, flooring problem. We were disappointed for sure.

Overall the process was easy and people were extremly helpful. However, we were disappointed with limited amount of materials/colors/options offerred overall. In addition, when construction was completed, so of the location of the elements incorporated in the house could have been better placed.

Overall Ok. Design center was awful and created most of our issues.

The overall process was efficient and reasonable. Once we went under contract, we chose our options and the work seemed to get started right away. We received prompt responses to all of our questions throughout, and the build finished largely on time. Communication was solid throughout. On the other hand, you give up some benefits when deciding to go with a home that is cheaper per sq ft. We had fairly limited options when choosing materials for the home, though we liked the overall aesthetic. Our walkthrough was eye opening - there were many issues that were not completed before closing, though most were resolved fairly soon afterwards (within 3 weeks). Now that we’ve been in the home for over a month, we’ve seen a few other things - contractors have shared that the wiring was not done well, the paint is very low quality and shows all marks, the trim and doors are made of very soft wood that dents easily. From a community perspective, there are still several things in process around the neighborhood, and the communication around when and how they will be resolved is nonexistent. All that said - the purchase made sense for our needs for more space, and the price worked for the larger floorplan that we needed. We knew we weren’t buying a top end custom home. Good overall experience. Quality of craftsmanship is not there for the dollar value we paid.

Great location. Not flexible when needed easy changes during building.

We very much love our home and the features we were able to select but there were some questionable issues at the pre-dry wall inspection that were blown off by our construction manager. Gaps in framing where air could get through and large holes in the wood paneling they refused to address. There were also many issues with overall craftsmanship of finished items and they were only half fixed by the time we moved in. Examples of issues are mismatch cabinet paint, paint touch ups never done/done poorly, holes in the wall that were only halfway fixed so you can still see the indentions, cabinet doors not lined up (we fixed them ourself) terrible draining in the yard with dead puddled grass (they are still saying they will fix this). There are also paint spots on the wood floor where they just did not clean it well. Our garage door didnt even have the weather stripping around it. I will say that our customer care manager has been excellent for all the things I have brought up. I just feel like there were a lot of sloppy fixes before we moved in that would make me probably not go with this home builder in the future. ... More

John Wieland builds a great house and were pretty good to work with prior closing. However, since closing the warranty response has been terrible. It should not be so hard to get things fixed. If they can get this straightened out we would recommend them 100%.

The process was great overall, communication with sales contact was good, quick build, good quality. Construction contact was not as responsive as he claimed to be and he argued with one or two of our things that we pointed out. We have also been having issues with the warranty department.. lack of response from our contact. He has dropped the ball on us a few times already and it’s only been a month. The warranty process should be much quicker and simpler for the price we paid for the house

Good but not great quality or workmanship for a million dollar home.

Pros: The sales process and communication was fine - easy to work through. The dedicated construction manager was great. Cons: like other home builders they are price gauging- way overpriced. Upgrades are overpriced and not worth it. Attention to detail is not good. Quality of craftsmanship is terrible. It’s fine as a starter home, but very far from what they market as a luxury home builder. They don’t include a refrigerator. Overall I would rate them as bush league starter home level quality.

So far the house has been great, but there are little things that I see now that bug me, especially when I consider the price range we are in. there are a few places you can see the walls are no straight, paint splatter on cabinets, windows seem cheap. NONE of the bathrooms had any towel racks or hooks, I had to buy and install myself, to me that is not a finished bathroom.

Although the team has been very responsive in addressing repairs, I expected the craftsmanship quality to be a lot better. The house was delivered with significant wear and tear on trims and baseboards, something that is not easily fixed. The paint job is sloppy and there are markings throughout the flooring along trims. The kind of damage that home owners try to carefully avoid when moving in with furniture, unfortunately is already built in by the staff. I’m spending a lot of time trying to fix or hide those defects myself just to get a clean look on a very expensive property.

My home is as expected, some of the workmanship details (edges, door frames) seem rushed, poorly measured and missing touch up paint. But on the whole, the house is great, the building manager is very responsive to fix a few things even after I closed. Wish the sales team had highlighted more the very short window for registering my HVAC. 30 days is very tight considering people are moving during that time.

My new home is lovely, the architecture craftsmanship selections were to my liking! The sales office set an honest expectation for upgrades for the most part. I was disappointed with the design center, as this was a design center I had visited for a home $300k less (about 5 years ago) for another community. The design center was very dark and difficult to view selections. I had wish I had taken pictures from the model to bring, because the rep didn’t really have a clue. I understand she had a lot of neighborhoods to keep up with! But I was playing a guessing game the majority of the time. The walkthroughs and updates that the site project manager gave weekly, were very helpful and I very much appreciated! Then there were some repairs that I needed within a couple of weeks: The summit stairs contact that I had coordinated a repair with, never showed. Then I needed a HDMI upgrade that needed to be switched out to a 8k hdmi. I wouldn’t have needed to know this, if not for my PS5. ATT had to drill in my house to connect the internet, but I have a feeling they are just lazy and didn’t want to resolve the issue they faced feeding through the cable tube from the 2nd floor control panel. There were some internal small mistakes, like a door stopper not installed properly behind where the door would swing open, and some cabinet paint warn off.
