Home buying process made easy.

I had a great experience with the sales office. Communication was excellent. I also had a good experience with the contractors on home delivery. But the quality of the home being built is the worst out of all builders whom I have had in the past. 1) The AC damper was installed WITHOUT power and broken. Immediately after moving in I noticed that only the upstairs vent blows and not the downstairs; causing the multiple issues. When called Chas & Robert - the AC company that KHov partnered with, the technician that the damper was never installed correctly in the beginning. Now, I am still dealing with this AC issue after 2 and a half months of moving in. 2) The bath tub standing pipe is wobbly. It just was not screwed in properly. 3) The patio door shakes every time the the garage door slams which, it should have not. 4) There was a big stain left on the carpet going into the master bathroom after they delivered the house. Out of all these four issues, I fine the AC issue the most unacceptable! I should not be dealing with this on a brand new home with a brand new AC unit. ... More

During the sales process everything was amazing, the house itself is great. Now when it comes to getting things done and replaced. The representative for my community is not very communicative, says she will do something and doesn’t. Have talked to her several times and nothing gets done.

Everything was smooth progress and the team is great.

We are extremely happy with Charlotte and Jeanine. They represent your company very well. We are unfortunately, somewhat unhappy with the workmanship of the new build. It appears the superintendent was not paying attention when the home was built. We have talked with the neighbors and they have experienced almost the same problems. But Jeanine and Charlotte have been able to resolve them. They have been very responsive.

The process from viewing to closing went smooth. The things I asked for they provided. My only issue is the walls are thin and can't sleep in the room next to laundry room if washing machine is on. The appliances are extremely cheap and I'll be changing them soon.

Quality of work for price of homes doesn't equal out, especially when getting appraised.

While the process was easy and quick, i moved in to a variety of issues in workmanship and a lack of being detailed oriented. Issues with paint where it shouldn’t be and not where it should, holes, misaligned cabinetry, big dents in the garage door, a broken garbage disposal, to name a few.

Overall, Glen was great. He was very responsive to questions. However, extremely disappointment after closing to see problems with termites, appliances not working, toilets , shower not working, landscape plants, shrubs dying. Melissa in warranthy extremely good

1. Pantry door not fitting properly 2. Glass Panels over fridge missing (Received 10 glass panels instead of 12) 3. Stair step from 1st floor (strip repair) 4. Stucco Repair work done in backyard 5. After stucco repair, patio framing is uneven. 6. Automatic outdoor Cam lights over garage (to be addressed).

Other than the on-site realtor, who was phenomenal, the home purchase was very typical. Standard issues with workmanship.

Just make sure the get down what they promise before closing

The home is overpriced for the materials used. This is a track homes priced as custom with a pretty bow on it. The trades are poor at best. The cabinets have popping fronts, every sink in this house has leaked or is leaking, the floors are uneven requiring a shim to level my refrigerator, there is and has been a moisture smell in the guest bedroom from the day I moved in, still not found, The lock plates have been over chiseled at the front door, looks bad. The back porch columns, I have not been able to find a stud, they appear hollow, or at a minimum not framed to code. The windows actual grown and my blinds move with wind. They were really friendly, even after moving in I still have a relationship with them, they answer all of my questions, either through call, text, email or even if I just popped into the office.

It was a great experience with the whole sales and construction team

We were in the market for a home. We considered resales and new builds. The rate buy down offers from new home builders were enticing but the troubles and poor quality we read about online for other builders had us on the fence of purchasing a new build. Still we decided to evaluate new builds because interest rates were high and new builds had concessions. We narrowed our search to 2 higher end new home builders. And then came across Khov as the 3rd and liked their floor plans, included features , and location. We bought a quick move in home. Overall, the house was built to spec. The build quality is on par with the other 2 builders we considered with some being better at Khov . The sales, closing, post sales warranty teams worked collaboratively with us. The post sale warranty issues have been resolved quickly. Fortunately all were cosmetic in nature. We’ve only been in the house for a few months, are happy with our purchase. Khov builds a better than average builder quality home and their team cares about making the home purchase experience pleasant for buyers. ... More

I thought Dustin did a great job ! Chas Roberts did well too. Irrigation not good at all.

The buying experience had mostly 5 star components along with a couple sub-par elements. Erika and Amy from Sales have been very helpful, even after the sale they continue to provide support. Tyson and Scott in Construction have been responsive and Alyssa in Customer Support is my best resource for getting issues resolved. Overall quality is typical for spec home ("fast") builders, highlighted by the design and energy efficiency features and degraded by corporate decisions that may make sense from KHOV's financial perspective but can leave lasting issues with the homeowner. Despite the few areas with issues, I love the house and greatly appreciate the value received for the price paid. Good job KHOV! ... More

Sedona model is best one to have more living space and great bedrooms

Every builder is, of course, at the mercy of the local trades; but what sets builders apart is how they fix and take care of issues with the build. KHOV does this. They take care of the issues/make sure they get taken care of, and are responsive and agreeable with regard to fixing the inevitable issues that arise from the local trades. Overall, a great home and a great builder.

I loved the follow up process from Ben, as each week went by. Some issues I discovered after closing. The whole house was painted with flat paint, I think it’s dumb. Second major issue, master bathroom light fixtures are all on one switch. That’s just not smart at all.

Neesha, Matthew, Kevin and Markus was very helpful from the beginning to the end of our purchase.

Brandon was always extremely helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. He is friendly, knowledgeable and always approachable which I've appreciated. You guys need 1,000 Brandons! Unlike Dustin, my main contact who always made me feel like I was bothering him. To no surprise, he left the company and went into some sort of Construction endeavor if I remember correctly which is probably better suited for him. He should NOT be in any sort of Customer Service position. Don't get me wrong, he addressed things because I pushed for them but I could tell by our interactions that he was overwhelmed, over worked and pretty much hated his job. Yvonne replaced Dustin and I haven't had to interact with her other than to respond to an email from her on an open ticket after Dustin left. ... More

We are happy with our finished home; issues after close are not major and are addressed in a timely manner. But it was very stressful getting here. Our home was 3.5 months late, requiring that we find interim lodging and two moves, costing us over $10K. Our house closed on the last day that our rate lock( that we paid to get) was good for and we had so many delays that we did not trust that we would close before the rate expired. Also, It took me 2+ months of pleading to get the 12 foot wall that was 5 feet from the window side of my house to be redone with view fencing on the top half, restoring light into our house. These are not custom homes but the construction team would try to help make minor changes when asked, but they are under tight rules from the builder. The builder uses a lot of subcontractors for the various activities (stucco, electrical, cabinets, etc) and the subcontractors were of mixed reliability and quality. The lathe and plaster guys walked, leaving our home open to the rainy weather for 9 weeks…. Hopefully the mold that formed was adequately addressed. ... More
