Starting with the sales experience Sabrina was great. Dustin and Todd were great throughout the walk-through and follow-up. The financing was horrible and I wish we had another options but we needed the builder's incentives for the lower interest rate at the time we purchased. Rob was terrible with communication and made the entire situation very stressful. After we closed we got a letter from another lender with our mortgage statement without anyone telling us our mortgage had been transferred from the builder's financing company to another company. If you choose to buy from K. Hovnanian and use their finance be prepared for great stress and a lack of communication and follow-up. I had to contact my agent multiple time to find out what was even happening. Even the closing agent, Heidi, another K. Hovnanian employee called me to find out about closing because she didn't get the information from the finance team. Had a horrible experience With k hovanian Mortgage team. They were too many people that we were dealing with and sending paperwork to without any timely response. Very poor communication from their end.

The home is overpriced for the materials used. This is a track homes priced as custom with a pretty bow on it. The trades are poor at best. The cabinets have popping fronts, every sink in this house has leaked or is leaking, the floors are uneven requiring a shim to level my refrigerator, there is and has been a moisture smell in the guest bedroom from the day I moved in, still not found, The lock plates have been over chiseled at the front door, looks bad. The back porch columns, I have not been able to find a stud, they appear hollow, or at a minimum not framed to code. The windows actual grown and my blinds move with wind. Daniel Z. Was a fantastic help with the home buying process. The construction team did a wonderful job fixing up anything we saw on the yellow tape walk through.

My sales person and others on the selling side of things were great. My community service person is responsive and goes above and beyond, as have the construction managers, even if what was promised took a long time to make happen. The problem is that the quality of construction materials is below expectations for a home in the million dollar price range, and workmanship in general is poor. The attention to detail is lacking, especially in the finishing. From crooked outside windows with gaps in the framing around them to a shower that pools water because it wasn’t put in to drain correctly, I could go on. This builder cuts corners in every way. For example, no drawers in the guest bath, just the false fronts, just to name one. One reason I didn’t move in sooner was that I had the entire interior painted rather than put up with white paint that came off if I rubbed my hand over the wall. The builder representative handling service requests outside of the community representative is abrupt and rude and makes it clear he just doesn’t care. He won’t address concerns he doesn’t have to address, which includes “cosmetic” issues (I.e.,scratched, dinged cabinets) that are discovered more than 10 days past closing date, no matter when the homeowner actually moved into the home. I would never buy another home built by K Hovnanian, nor would I recommend this builder to anyone looking to buy a new home. ... More

Based on the personal buying experience I have mixed feelings. On the good side, I can commend the sales team, the construction superintendent for the final construction phase, and post-closing service teams. At the same time, there were a number of opportunities for improvement. The house is mostly open frame (very few chip boards to reinforce it). Was quite surprised to see that at this price point. The construction resulted in quite a few deficiencies due to workmanship issues. Some of those took extra time and effort to correct. The selection of upgrades left a really bad impression due to the excessive amounts the builder wanted for some of the options. Finally, the lender team offered non-competitive terms for the loan. So, while it is clear that some of personnel really care and apply themselves, a combination of unskilled trades, and company policies contributed to the less than perfect experience. ... More

Sedona model is best one to have more living space and great bedrooms

The seals representative and chief contractor were really helpful and informative. The overall process was a good experience because of these great people.

Everything was smooth progress and the team is great.

I have enjoyed my overall homebuying experience with Khov. All the team members are responsive and the entire process was very smooth until handover.

We were extremely disappointed at our walk-through and after living in the home. Poor workmanship, poor quality of cabinets, trim, doors.

This is my 4th KHov home purchase in the past 12 months and this one was a great overall experience from beginning to end. Ben, the project manager, was great to work with and he does a great job overseeing the new construction builds. This house came out better than the previous 3 and I think we have Ben to thank for that.

The builder finished the repairing job in one month after I requested.

This is not the first new home that we've had built, so we have some prior experience, including with custom builds and "cookie cutter" homes. The 2 KH salespeople we worked with were great in all respects. The closing company KH uses was not trustworthy. (one of us was also a realtor with firsthand experience working with closing companies) The workmanship and attention to detail in the home were poor. When quality issues were brought up, excuses were made as to why the something was done poorly, or that it will be corrected eventually (don't hold your breath waiting), or with the excuse that sounds something like "it's just the way things are" and we should learn to live with this. Terrible experience from home delivery to warranty response. It has been six months since my move in. We are still arranging service to be completed. My driveway was attempted to be fixed finally after months of KHOV deflecting issues with it. It is now two different colors and a sore spot in a beautiful brand new neighborhood. It never ends with KHOV. Do not buy!

The paint jobs that they are putting on inside the house are so cheap that when you touch the walls you leave your fingerprints. The paint has been watered down and this has been told to me by professional painters. I have a wall in my house that’s 3/8 of an inch off from one end to the other. We will definitely see whether or not they take care of the problems that are in my New Home. They have been made aware of them and we’ll see where goes from there. As far as the salesman, he is outstanding, and I would write him a 10 every single time, he seems to be very caring and wanting to make sure that we are all happy with our homes. His name is Daniel and I’m able to talk with him at any time about any of the issues with my house. We used to have a warranty man named Randy, that was outstanding, and the young man that took his place. Just seems to want to brush you off and not move forward. All the people involved were very responsive. We have built 12 homes with different builders and this staff was one of the best!

Every builder is, of course, at the mercy of the local trades; but what sets builders apart is how they fix and take care of issues with the build. KHOV does this. They take care of the issues/make sure they get taken care of, and are responsive and agreeable with regard to fixing the inevitable issues that arise from the local trades. Overall, a great home and a great builder.

The people have been great to work with and quick to fix any issues! I appreciate the honest communication and the desire to make it a great experience! A little disappointed in the paint job but they have been quick to come out and fix that as well! It's nice to work with a team that actually cares and wants to see happy customers!

We are extremely happy with Charlotte and Jeanine. They represent your company very well. We are unfortunately, somewhat unhappy with the workmanship of the new build. It appears the superintendent was not paying attention when the home was built. We have talked with the neighbors and they have experienced almost the same problems. But Jeanine and Charlotte have been able to resolve them. They have been very responsive.

I loved the follow up process from Ben, as each week went by. Some issues I discovered after closing. The whole house was painted with flat paint, I think it’s dumb. Second major issue, master bathroom light fixtures are all on one switch. That’s just not smart at all.
