Worst built home I’ve ever had and I’ve had 5 other new homes.

Home buying from K Hovnanian was an awesome experience. Everyone that I interacted with were having deep knowledge on what they were doing, that was evident from the details and explanation that gave with very crisp clarity and in logical order. They were very transparent on everything, always available to answer and help. I recommend K Hovnanin homes to everyone who are looking for a new home to buy. You will get a super quality home in time and you will get to know the professionalism in this field as well.

To many items need to be fixed.

My purchase of kHov home was easy and enjoyable! Neesha guided me through every step and encouraged me throughout. She and Claire provided invaluable advise and guidance. The construction team of Kevin, Joe and Austin bent over backwards to deliver a fabulous product. Overall, I can’t think of anything throughout this entire process that wasn’t first class!

Superintendents were always on top of their game. Ben is a credit to your organization very attentive and helpful and made the home building experience bearable.

Sales was awesome, the communication from the builder was great the entire time. There were more items needing fixed or finished than I would have liked come closing day. A few of them still not complete a month after closing. I enjoyed working with all of their people during the process, I'd just be much more inclined to rate higher if the last few repairs would be complete at a much faster pace.

As a first time homebuyer, KHov made the experience pleasant and seamless. Mike was very responsive even after the purchase was completed. They made the experience feel personalized. I would definitely consider purchasing from this builder again.

Trisha, Marcus, and Dustin were great, oh and Brandon too. Couldn’t have asked for a better team. The build went according to time with only a slight delay( which was to be expected). There were no misunderstandings and everything was clearly explained. Only issue came in the loan area as the interest rates began to rise ( and we asked if there was something we could do about it) we were not told we could lock in our rate 220 days before closing, until we were at 90 days and and rates had already jumped. This failure added about $400 to our mortgage payments. This is the only thing that bothered us the the entire process. ... More

Very very poor quality and construction. Not able to settle down because of repairs after repairs .

Marcus was fabulous, not only staying in touch weekly, but also with the couple of issues we had after closing with gas leak and dry wall. also very pleased with Dustin, checking back and answering any questions we had.

Lady Karen was amazing! She was very supportive and informative throughout the whole process. She was FANTASTIC! The house was built extremely fast and we were overall please, the only downfall was that work from the contract trades was bad.

Being such young first time home-buyers KHOV really made it such a smooth process in buying our first home! We loved the representatives that helped us throughout our journey, most especially, Tracy, Mike and Shannon. As for Tracy, she really set the tone for our whole buying process, being the first person from KHOV that we spoke to about our home. We loved the fact that she would always give us a call or text to give us any updates on the building process of our home. She even went as much as walking out to our lot and sending us pics! During our first inspection, Mike was really attentive to every aspect of our house in order to explain the overall functions, and we loved that! He answered any questions we had and made sure that before we left the inspection that we knew the ins and outs of our home. In addition to that, he was really funny! Also, during our closing and final walk-through, Shannon helped my other half and I to find any minor damages and was very adamant about getting someone out to fix any issues, so that was a big plus in having her as one of our KHOV representatives. A month 1/2 later, and she is still very helpful, punctual and adamant about meeting our needs and solving issues as soon as we put in the ticket. The whole process was a bit hiccuping with Change of staff. But the orientation, home maintenance and appliance review for extended warranty was very detailed and thorough. I appreciate follow up calls to remind me of ownership responsibilities and privilege.

This was my second time buying a K Hov house

The salesperson/ analyst were very responsive. The warranty support team is also very responsive. The quality of craftmanship, materials & quality control checks have an opportunity for improvement.

The quality of the Home and the Caliber of these builders is just exceptional. I absolutely love love love my home. From the day the foundation was laid right up to move-in (and even now 4 weeks out) everyone has kept me informed, pleased and connected with me by phone, pics and in person every week along the build. Soo capable, soo nice and excellent at what they do!! I'll say it again, I love my home!!!

People with KV Homes were really nice. Very professional.

Overall, I'm satisfied with our new K Hov home; however, the process to get there was a tedious challenge that required a lot of communication. Thankfully, the sales and construction team were relatively quick to respond to the issues we experienced. Able to temporarily stay with family nearby, I was lucky enough to visit our house frequently as it underwent all phases of construction from framing to close. Along the way, I identified several critical issues with what was being installed -not with the quality of workmanship as much as the accuracy of following what was specified. If I didn't have the luxury of being able to witness the ongoing construction, then my house would have been constructed with several errors requiring rework. It was not a pleasant experience to feel like I had to be construction manager of my own home. I wished K Hov would send out their QA team regularly in order to detect these issues before I could. I found the overall quality of workmanship, which is confined to the local Arizona labor pool and skillset, to be very mediocre at best. Finishes (drywall especially but also paint) were done very sloppily, not to the quality you expect on a home you spent your life saving for. The design of the floorplan and the finishes that were specified are all very appealing, but the execution needs work. My house buying experience has been truly an unforgettable one. When I began this process, things were pretty much straight forward, seemingly less. Working with Sabrina was a delight, I went the design center, very excited, they were extremely helpful. I decided to use KHOV financing... BIG mistake... From the very first time I spoke with my loan officer Diandra things were chaotic. She called to inform me that she was unable to pull "One" of my credit reports, which I thought was odd since she was able to obtain the other two! She proceeded to confirm my SSN, stating "ins you social 000-00-XXXX? Completely baffled, I asked her to repeat the social, which she did.... Please advise who has an SSN the is 000-00-XXX??? In a different conversation we were discussing my interest rate, estimated closing cost. I asked if my interest could be locked in at the current rate, she answered YES without hesitation, however on the document I was asked to sign, the locked rate was not reflected, when I questioned this, she replies, my apologies, go ahead and sign it and I will correct it before. I believed her. As time went on and interest rate sore, I felt secure, because my trusted loan officer assured me that my interest rate was lock, therefore I had no concerns. In Mid April approximately 50 days to closing, I received a call from Diandra advising me that that I no longer qualify for my home loan because my DTI was too high... With no explanation what this means or even what the next step would be, she asked if I had received a raise, I advise no, she said "ok, let me see what I can do. I'll call you back". She never called back. I was left all evening and night with this, not knowing what is going on thinking that I don't have anywhere for my family to go. After waiting for Diandra to call me back, which she did not.. The process continues to get worse, so bad that I refused to work with her, which required the director of the department Karl to take over. When the loan processor Nicole took over, things got a little better, however the morning BEFORE I was due to close, I received an email advising they have not received my employment verification requesting my assistance to obtain it. As the day went on, although I advise Nicole I will work on it from my end, what was originally request, became a demand, then a threat, stating I cannot get my HR department to send information I will not be able to close on my home the next morning. Fortunately, I was able to obtain the required information. Literally up the LAST moment I had issues with the finance department. I would NEVER advise anyone to use KHOVANIAN financing... NEVER!! EVER!! It is very very sad that the terrible experience I had with the finance department has tainted what could have been a special home buying experience for me. I can only hope there have been significant changes in that department. I would like to acknowledge Sabrina, Josh, Angel. Heidi and Jon with Eastern Title. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the contractor that did our initial walk thru, he was very knowledgeable and helpful, hopefully he can be identified and acknowledged as well. ... More

So far been in our place for less then a month and already finding many flaws. Doors uneven and not closing properly. Cheap paint that are chipping, stucco not filled around the exterior light. With a bunch of excuses with why certain imperfections around a brand NEW HOUSE that was just built. At the end of the day you get what you paid for. Quick build with cheap products and materials. A few great folks and some that will provide great service and care. And some that will initially show that they care, but once you close and you receive the keys it's "slow" to resolve issues. Really sucks to feel this way, but as a first-time home owner this was a great accomplishment. Unfortunately, it has been disappointing to have problems arise less than a month in BRAND NEW-BUIT HOME! If you want more customized options and better quality in a home I would suggest looking at other builders. You may have to pay a little more, but it would be worth the extra cost. ... More

Mike was our sales person. He was very good with keeping in touch with us despite the long delay in the start of construction. He was very patient and answered all our questions / helped address all issues / questions with the title company. Alan kept us appraised of the actual build and was attentive to questions / requests we had along the way. Mike the Service Coordinator was very thorough during the walk through and subsequent service request we had. I feel comfortable that if anything comes up, the team will be attentive to our needs.

Best team ever. Sales reps were always available and team up together. Project manager keep me updated on everything through the construction. Quality control is amazing. Everything were outstanding. Congrats Team Hovnanian.
