Absolutely horrible warranty department. On line is horrible. Merrick is horrible. He has no experience. No customer service skills. No follow up skills. Has never Built a house to know how works. We have has basic very basic items now 4 that need to be address that are getting ignored. We're to the point I'm putting in critical tickets in and still getting ignored. I'm also getting to the point I'm going to obtain A ***** to help me get these items addressed as well has future items to be addresses. This is beyond stressful. I wish I never bought this house. This isn't my first home build. I bought this K Hov Home Due to their high standards, but it that is all looking like fictitious information at this point. Beyond disappointing!!! ... More

Pleasant experience overall. Burke was very responsive and helpful during the process and after closing. The sales team wasn't as great. The warranty people have been very responsive.

Like the community and the people. Everything is good if you set your expectations low and be prepared to check on their work.

It's been three months since our closing and yet we are still waiting for the house to be finished.

Everything went well and the whole process was fine, except for these stupid surveys.

All has been excellent. Thanks for the outstanding customer service.

Patio glass door stain and cannot clean, needs replacement

Lousy communications, they do not fix anything, told me house is as is. I paid over a half a million dollars for a AS IS, didn't buy a used car.

We are so grateful to K. Hovnanian for helping make our dream of owning a beautiful new home a reality. We would absolutely recommend K. Hovnanian Homes to anyone looking for a new construction home. We love our new home and couldn't be happier with our decision!

The good was the responsiveness to any issues with the house such as something needs to be fixed or repaired. The bad was the mortgage process and the unethical treatment I received and ***** that were told.

The buying process in the building process were fantastic. Both Danielle our sales representative and Greg our builder were very communicative and did a fantastic job where we run into problems is with the warranty team. Not sure if the Painter they used on our house is still around, but the company seemed completely inept. We had to have them out five times to fix the same things after 2 1/2 months of living in the house I finally took the rest of the blue tape markings from our initial blue tape, walk down and just fixed them myself, on a completely separate note the warranty team at KHov including Jason, our direct warranty contact and Adam his boss seem to be doing everything in their power to dodge their responsibilities when it comes to our kitchen counter we had scratches left from one of the workers on our kitchen counter before we moved in, and we also got word that somebody in the KHov sales office was showing our house after we closed. Scratches could've been from them in either case begrudgingly Jason contacted the countertop installers to come out and get the scratches removed. Jason has stated multiple times that they've never had or taken care of the countertop after somebody's moved in which I find difficult to believe being that KHov is such a large company. That's neither here nor there. The bottom line is they accepted responsibility for it and sent the countertop company out to do a repair. They were unable to perform the repair the first time they then said they were sending out a specialist. The specialist came out 4 times over a 2 month period and actually made the repair worse. We have matte countertops and now we have two large shiny circles on our countertop after waiting over two months and having the countertop people out over five times our countertops are still not fixed and now when I call once a week to try and get an update all I get is we're contacting the manufacturer. I'm not sure what the manufacturer has to do with it. Somebody scratch the counter. Jason took responsibility for it and tried to fix it and made the counter worse, the countertop company has stated that the counter needs to be replaced, but it seems like KHov more directly to the point Jason and Adam are doing everything they can to backpedal out of getting our counter fixed or replaced. ... Engineering team should plan key aspects like HVAC insulation properly. It's a major design flaw and top of it the construction team did not do a good job on the basics like home insulation.

Model homes are Immaculate and actual home you get is shotty and poorly supervised work and quality

Respond when needed. Ac quit working 1 month after moving in.

Great experience with John, build manager… bad experience with realtor.

Get better subs. Hire a project/warranty manager that actually follows through on issues. Respond to issues in portal.

The quality of the house could've been alot better considering we paid $409,900 for the house. Now that we're in the house we notice a lot of things such as the doors not fitting the frame, the shower door which I have to hold with my hand to keep from opening and getting the floor wet when I'm showering . I believe K ***** be able to put some kind of mechanism in place to lock the door to the shower or at least keep it closed while I'm showering. Also I constantly get cold water in my washing machine when I have the washing machines set on hot. However we do get hot water in the bathroom when we're showering and bathing and when doing dishes. ... More

***** as well as site supervisor Nolan were great!! Finance department needs work! Had it not been for discount, would have financed elsewhere.

2nd experience with KHov. First build was of better quality and workmanship.

There was a team that worked with you from start to finish. Each specializing in different fields of service. That continued on even after I had moved in with questions about my home.

Having difficult time getting time getting landscape contractor (Davey) to fix the grading that was not properly completed, twice. Davey tells Service they will get in touch with us, have not heard from them. Landscape Contractor (Davey) was out and admitted the grading was not correct, as well as they would be right back to replace dead bush, never returned. Excuses we get is workers are getting fired or quitting, Davey is not responding. House was not cleaned behind appliances when we encountered bug issue we started to pull out appliance, but did not want to possibly scratch floor, so we put in work order. We were told the appliances will not be pulled out now to have cleaning person clean behind them, may scratch floor. There are bits of drywall that should have been cleaned, We trusted that a clean house is a clean house everywhere. Dishwasher can not be pulled out to check, stove has limited movement due to gas line. Are told a cleaner will be sent out but not sure what she will clean since she does not move appliances. Sliding door issue taking over 3 months for issue to be addressed by supplier. K. Hovnavian employees respond but resolution to some issues are not being met. Trim painting is very poor. Rough sawn areas that are just painted over. Nail holes exposed, door jams are beat up just painted over. Trim has areas where the paint looks like blisters. Not sure of were to draw the line on submitting Work Orders. Purchasing a new home should be a total excitement experience but that lasted a short time. ... More

Exceptional customer service from the sale team. I usually dont like to put on the review because I expect nothing less from the Builder Sale team. But they been great to me and my wife through out the whole process. Everything went smoothly from pick out the house and finance.

The entire process from purchasing the house to moving in was challenging and frustrating. The initial date of move in was presented as beginning of June but I received the keys on 6/22, approximately 2.5 weeks later. It was a big deal since I moved from out of state and had to stay at Airbnb until i received the keys. The quality of the house is poor. It looks nice and esthetic but barely functioning . The roof titles were broken, slipped/displaced, chipped. There were many deficiencies and areas of concerns around the exterior of the house: paint and blemishes on window frames, paint on the front entryway, broken/scratched window glass, patio electrical outlet dysfunctional, splash block at AC condensation pipe directing water to the foundation, paint stains/drips on the floor or grout, several areas that were not painted (doors, walls), damaged cabinet drawers, shower tiles in need or touch-up, scratches in bathtub, shower wall not sealed, poor baseboard finish, scratches along the base of the sliding door, inadequate drip edges on the roof allowing rain water to concentrate around house wall deep towards the foundation to a degree that gutters needed to be installed, lack of cabinets in the laundry room, leaking refrigerator due to disconnected water lines, missing caulking around the hot tub, AC unit slid off of the pad, poorly designed front yard landscaping with drying/dying plants/shrubs, lack of pavers/pads for trash cans, entrance door with glass contributing to lack of security and privacy, very poor workmanship below standards. Builder's team not knowledgeable about construction matters. After my personal negative experience I would not recommend KHov builder to any potential buyer. ... More

It has been an absolute disaster working through the portal to get some issues addressed inside our house.
