Our experience working with K. Hovanian homes was absolutely wonderful and must say that we are extremely happy with our decision to have proceeded. We are now deeply in love with Rancho Murieta and of course our new home that we have moved into. Also it was a big toss between gated community preowned homes and the new homes by K Hovanian and we are truly glad to have made this decision to have decided on the new homes! Great builder but slow in response to warranty issues.

The Buying process was done all Virtually which was a bit scary as we could not see the home in person, K Hov and my realtor did and excellent job communicating with me and showing me as much as they possibly could. The home is beautiful almost meeting our “Dream home” we love everything about it. Their has been some issues with the build but the warranty team has been responsive maybe a little slower than expected. Overall me and wife are extremely happy with the home. ... More

The entire process extremely pleasant. Carla and Josh in the sales office were very helpful and informative.

We bought two houses at the same time and assisted by the sale agent who was excellent in customer services.Thank you very much to Paula for helping us from A-Z in the process of purchasing two houses that was not the simple task. We received the the first house lot 70 that looked good on the walk through and we were satisfied . On the second house lot 66 there were some issues of workmanship with a lot of things need to be redone.However the follow up team did well on fixing it and the house was in satisfied quality now. I called to see if it was possible to reschedule it but no one got ever back to me and I almost had to rush back from work

Fixtures like towel bars or faucets need to be upgraded to quality not bottom end

We love our new home! The GE packages are nice to look at, but definitely cheap products. The dishwasher sounds like it’s trying to find it’s way out of the house! It’s super noisy! Stove is ok but the bottom drawer feels like it’s made of tin, super flimsy. Microwave sounds like it needs to be oiled. But they look good, lol. Had to fix a sprinkler pipe and they used pipe not much thicker than a straw. I didn’t know they even made pipe thinner than schedule 40! They build these houses so fast that there is no attention to detail. We replaced the vinyl, stick on, wood looking, flooring with ceramic wood tiles and found BIG pieces of cut, leftover sewer pipe. It was down in the pipe with a pile of toilet paper on top of it. This was when we removed the toilet for the floors to be tiled. Glad we found that before it clogged and backed up! No weed barrier under the bark in the front yards so weeds coming up non stop. Gutters are waves an full of leftover roofing materials and debris. Outlets in the garage aren’t powered enough for our refrigerator. Keeps popping breaker. Although we feel the price was fair, they could definitely do a few things better and have a beautiful product if they wanted to! Company and employees are great to work with but they are defunded a lot of pressure to get things done fast. They’re super busy trying to fix and repair things so they haven’t been able to coordinate a time to fix things for us yet but I trust they’re trying. They say they are, anyway. They have nice employees. We have a lot of little things that need to be attended to. I would recommend this company, just be prepared to replace a few things and be patient. We have great neighbors so far and that’s probably the best thing about moving in! ... More

Where to begin. First, the POC changed during construction without notice. We only found out because we hadn’t heard from anyone for so long we emailed and days later got a response. The few times I had to call to inquire about updates for signing or scheduling, they hired part time who didn’t know and refused to get the info. We closed sooner than expected, however, many issues unseen at the time came to the forefront and when we submitted a “ticket” for service nothing happened. The biggest disappointment was the amount of ants that invaded our home. Scores and scores of them. I had to reseal areas that should have been taken care of during construction such as the kitchen and pantry. I was unable to establish entry to portal designed to support homeowners and no one knew how to resolve the issue. It took a week before i given a possible POC email to resolve the issue, but why would I want to hassle with that again? The foreman was the main saving grace. His kindness and professionalism is the only reason I haven’t been further disappointed. ... More

I expect more value for the money, the appliances are cheap and malfunctioned after 1 use. We're still waiting for items to be repaired after being in our home a month.

Nice people to work with. High priced for decent quality. Didn’t love the buying process and definitely wasn’t a fan of the in house loan officer.

We like the home but immediately had plumbing issues. This was not all Khovnanians fault as the city had connected some pipes incorrectly, but I do feel it should have been caught by an inspection ahead of time and not once we had moved in. The city finally fixed the pipes but I am still waiting for KHovnanian to replace my grass. ... More
