My homebuyer experience was great! Highly recommend! Everyone was available when needed and always let me stop by and check on my home when it was being built.

The sales associate Vicky was great during the entire timeline from selection of the home to the closing . Though this was our second home and located out of state , she kept us undated during construction and assisted with the critical milestones. It was a pleasure dealing with sales associate - Vicky for this purchase

We were told new lots would open in the next phase but there always seemed to be a delay, Once construction was under way things moved along. Design and options selection was a big sticker shock and cost way more than we anticipated. Builder would not commit to a closing date until 2 weeks prior pushing out our loan lock in date. Because of the tight timelines the crew is held to and then needing to meet their commitment to us to close on time, the quality of the work suffered. The subcontractors this builder used not only need to care about the quality of their work but ensure their work does not harm prior work and cause re- work. Had multiple punch items at closing. KHOV loan team slow to follow up on documentation and we had to follow up multiple times to make sure closing would go smoothly. In the end we have a beautiful home for the money. ... More

our experience with Vicki our salesperson was great from the start. She was always responsive and friendly. Our construction manager Fred was also fantastic. He made sure that the punch list was completed. We did have some issues with electrical and hvac when we first moved in (things that should have been checked before closing) but Fred and Paul got the trades out quickly to fix these issues.

Tracy, Kenny and Logan were fantastic

A lot of turnover with construction managers throughout the build, but our last one, Joe, was very good. He was attentive, followed up, and diligent. Our experience with Joe was a good one. Our sales reps (Elizabeth and Tracy) were excellent. We had a great experience with Elizabeth and we'd recommend her to anyone looking to buy from K. Hov in the area.

Our home is beautiful. I wish we could have picked some of the items in our home, but overall it's very nice. The sales person lacked significantly in communication, and the guy we walked through our new home with made a bunch of promises to fix things that haven't been fixed yet. He hasn't provided a date for when these items will be fixed yet. We did submit the issues through the email provided. Everyone seems nice, no one seems to have authority or follow through. The community is beautiful overall, and we're thankful to have our home.

Elizabeth and Tracey were there for us every step of the way. The customer service was excellent. Elizabeth kept us in the loop on the progress of our house from day one. She is like a member of our family now. We could call her for anything at anytime. Our assistant construction manager Joe was very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. This team is outstanding.

I fell in love with the sales model home and the community the first time I visited Harbors Edge at Bayside. The Khovnanian sales and construction staff have been outstanding to work with as I made my decision to buy there and during the construction, settlement and move-in phase. My sales rep, Tracy,, worked closely with me from my first visit, thru closing—answering all my questions, sending me pertinent information, reaching out periodically, sending me photos of the various stages of construction (a feature I really valued), and even after I went to settlement and moved in has continued to keep in touch to help me—answering questions, giving me information and recommendations. And the construction staff has been great, especially Joe, who conducted my walk-thrus and continues to come by periodically to see if I have any problems and makes sure any issues are resolved. I especially appreciated the walk-thrus so I could see the various stages during construction. I love the house and the community. The sales staff was honest and helpful. I was always up to date on issues and production. The service staff, Logan, Joe and Kenny went out of their way to ensure we were heard and worked with us to resolve our issues at closing and after we took possession of the property.

The staff of K.Hovanian is superb, from the mortgage broker, sales office & contractors. Everyone is responsive and informative!

Too many corners cut on materials for a fairly high priced home.

Builder could not oversee the work of there sub contractors. Very poor workmanship and lots of wasted time and money fixing problems and damage to finished work. Builder management changed 6 times during building process and had no accountability

I want to start with the fact that overall I am happy with the home. The overall process was fairly good. We did have a last minute delay with only a couple (2 or 3 I can't remember exactly) weeks notice which caused my family to scramble at the last minute to find a place to live. What is most frustrating about the delay is that it was something that could have been avoided with better planning. All KHOV needed to do was to ensure that the gas meter was installed in time instead of waiting until the last minute so that they didn't incur carrying costs with a gas bill. The construction of the home has the feel of quality building and we do not hear people talking or walking from across the home. The materials used are not the most expensive around but are of good quality. Although during construction we asked for KHOV to add 1 ethernet cable to one room that we were going to use as an office and we got the run around. Instead of telling us no, which is what ultimately happened, they strung us along. Apparently running a $20 ethernet cable was too much trouble for them. The design of the home has good flow and having 2 bedrooms with private baths gives us more options. The design of the kitchen and bathrooms were both done well. Even the kitchen cabinets are of good quality. One issue with the design is that we have a white backsplash with a cream colored countertop, I mean who does that. And no we did not have a choice in these options. Even though we asked about changes we were told the process was too far along, even though they were still studding out walls when we bought the place. The finishing of the home is sub-par at best. Some spots I would even call very poor. The flashing around the outside of some of the windows looks like the caulk was put on by a kid finger painting. The interior paint has plenty of drip spots and is so cheap that is is not cleanable. It appears to be eggshell so that it helps to hide the sheetrock finish imperfections. We will need to have the entire interior painted at some point. I have pointed out a lot of the negatives because those are the things that stick in your mind so I want to be sure to set the record straight. I am happy with this home overall and if given the chance I would purchase it again. The home has a great layout, plenty of windows and we love the double ovens in the kitchen. I would them to know that the workmanship was deplorable. Josh, who unfortunately left the company was responsive and interested in correcting the problems by holding the worker accountable. I was very upsetting when he left. Logan is outstanding, however he is overworked.

The home and community design are excellent

It is clear that our house has been a low priority for KHov, and this entire process with KHov was been a horrible experience for us. We understand the current market environment, labor shortages, and supply chain issues, because we just went through buying a new home with NVHomes which was completed February 2021. It was a tough process but nothing like what we are experiencing with KHov. This process with KHov is so bad, that we don’t feel comfortable with the product that KHov delivered to us. Our close date has been pushed back repeatedly over the course of several months. Over the past few months, we have reached out repeatedly for updates, but only receive them on the days before closing is supposed to take place. We faced two massive disappointments throughout this process. First, our upstairs bathroom was constructed incorrectly (not according to the floor plan). No one caught this for weeks until closer to closing. Second, the most upsetting disappointment, was the walkthrough that took place on Monday, December 13. KHov intended to close on Friday, December 17. When we walked in, it was obvious that nobody had attended to the house in weeks. There were holes everywhere, unfinished bathrooms, broken windows, cracked flooring, unfinished dry wall, cabinets completely damaged, doors missing, and the house didn’t have insulation in the attic (all detailed in our inspection report which was 4 days after our walk through)! It was obvious that no one from KHov walked through the house or had a punch list. I went around the house and marked it with blue tape, which should have been someone else’s job. The fact that we are paying close full purchase price for this house and had to drive 7 hours round trip that day to see the house in that condition is inexcusable. After we refused to close, KHov pushed the closing another week, and again items were addressed but not completed. We had to push closing again to (12/30) again to (1/21) and then finally had to close on (1/31) because we couldn't extend the rate lock anymore. Once we moved in (3/29), we noticed there was no heat working on our 1st floor and there was a massive gap under our front door due to misalignment of install where cold air is coming through. We have called the emergency hotline and reached out to our Sales Rep and haven't heard back in 3 days to resolve this issue. I would never purchase a house from Khov and wouldn't recommend anybody purchasing a home from them. ... More

From start to finish KHOV was by my side every step of the way. I will admit for being a widow, this was a huge undertaking on my part. Being the person who I am, KHOV made this a very enjoyable experience & I thank you for that.

Both the sales representatives and onsite project managers were awesome to work with and provided responsiveness on all issue during the home building process. While the logistic supply chain impacted the schedule, KH stepped up to address all matters including the punch list corrective work at completion and turnover.

Our home buying experience started out OK in May 2021. Nice models to choose from, and home would be completed in 3 months from ground breaking. Our salesman was misleading and dishonest and at times downright disrespectful. Excavation started in August, we settled the last week in January. House sat for weeks at a time with little being done. Little attention to detail and virtually no quality control. I'm glad we hired a home inspector for pre-drywall inspection and final inspection. So many items were due to shoddy craftsmanship!! We had 4 project managers throughout construction, and communications deteriorated with the first 3 PMs. We were very disappointed with the construction process until our final PM ensured all of our punchlist items were taken care of. The only confusing area in our whole experience has been who is in charge of what area when you make a service call. Even though you only call one number, you end up being told at times that what you're calling about has nothing to do with warranty and that it is a the construction manager's responsibility to handle this issue...complicated by the fact that I have had several different individuals calling me back about the same issue...would be nice to have one point person. Homeowners should also be told in advance how the service desk process works...not being given just a number! Response time to tickets needs to be addressed as well. ... More

My Khov home buying was exceptional. The sales team and property manager were true professionals. Definitely assets to your organization.

This is our second home and we don’t live nearby so having a great sales person to help us with questions and send photos along the way was so nice and helpful!
