Clear and fluid closing process. Do not use subcontractors to be your representatives.

I keep seeing some material used are not as good as expected

After buying house service should be improved, some of us are first time homebuyers and we need you guys to help us out not just simply say it's not our issue you should have checked earlier.

Poor quality work. Fit and finish was poor. We were given incorrect information during the construction and delivery process. Some items that were "fixed" are now damaged again.

Like any new home, there are a few things here and there that needed to be addressed. Having owned a ***** home before we are familiar with the 1 year warranty process so that helps. Be prepared to log issues and overall ***** addresses them in a timely and acceptible manner.

Overall my experience was complex. First the price for the home and what the appraisal price was 25K less than the amount they were asking for. This information was withheld from me for 1 month with no reason given me. However, my sales rep was a 10 out of 10. My K. Hovnanian mortgage rep was also a 10 out of 10. The build quality for the price point leaves alot to be desired. The electric box showed short cuts that can potentially rear it's ugly head if you are looking for separate breakers for each room. The kitchen setup is very user friendly if you like to cook. The one weird oddity with the floor plan that I chose is the lack of any closets. There one linen nor coat closet which is very strange. In summation, I cannot recommend K. Hovnanian Homes to my friends and/or family at this time. At this price point there are better options for new builds within a 10 mile radius that offer a better value. ... More

Poor quality work, even after the matter brought to the builder's attention, repair work was again poor quality and unsatisfactory.

The process was made as painless and easy as possible.

Liked the layout, different than most. For this priced home, more options would have been nice. Also, the cost of this home should NOT come with plastic toilet seats.

Great experience

Responsiveness post close has gotten a bit worse. I have had a few is*****s and some are resolved but others are requiring follow up and no response.

The team communicated clearly, kept us informed every step of the way, made the process smooth, and delivered a beautiful home. We felt supported from contract to closing.

We had a wonderful experience except for the fact that we have been waiting since April 9 (move in date) for a yard to be put in. Our driveway was done in early June and we were told the yard would be about a week later. It is now July 9 and still no yard, just dirt, rocks and construction debris. Brand new builds on the road behind us, with no one living there have had their yards installed already. I understand that they need to sell those homes but they already have our money for our house. This should have been completed much sooner.

The purchase and move in was fluent

Very please with our new home. If I had to nit-pick, they only thing we are not pleased with is the concrete work in the driveway and side walk.. There are cracks in the driveway concrete, stained areas of concrete on the sidewalks and broken areas of concrete on the sidewalk..

My experience with ***** has been incredibly frustrating from start to finish. Throughout the process, I felt that ***** handled is*****s backwards, communication was unprofessional, and my concerns were often dismissed rather than addressed. There was dried mudding compound left on my kitchen countertop that was never cleaned up, and when I raised concerns about what appeared to be urine in one of my toilets, I felt my concerns were dismissed as simply a water backup, despite my family's construction experience. The most upsetting part of this experience was the day of my grandmother's funeral, when company trucks blocked my driveway, causing me to miss a significant portion of the service. Not only was the situation devastating, but I never felt that the impact it had on my family was acknowledged. Instead, I was questioned about my tone in emails after repeatedly trying to get is*****s resolved. Overall, what should have been an exciting home-buying experience turned into a stressful and disappointing ordeal. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering K. Hovnanian to do thorough research before making a decision. ... More

The office staff, *****, and the construction staff that helped with the is*****s once we moved in, *****, were great.
