Review every detail before signing. We thought we were getting 2 basement windows. Had 1 standard and 1 egress. Removed egress before submitting since we are not putting bedroom in basement and thought we were getting at least 2 standards. Upon receiving blueprint, only 1 window and had to call sales to ask where the basement windows were located on blueprints. Sales said only 1 and we could not add any further windows as it was past 5 days. Model shows master shower in one location, when receiving blue print, the shower was behind the door to enter the bathroom and the doors swing into each other and sales/cad would not change. They said these were final blueprints although they were the first and only set of blueprints we received and they would not correct them. These items were not our doing but we were stuck. This was a disappointment not getting what we wanted and what we assumed we were getting. Upgraded to maple cabinets, however, cabinets installed are particle board and laminate covering maple. All cabinets need replaced as they are chipped, broken and peeling before we moved in; very cheap quality. The carpenters used giant oversized nails around all door trim, looks terrible as even with fill/paint can see giant holes. All corners of baseboards are jagged not cut correctly. They tried to caulk them and made it worst. Very poor quality of entire home. Paid for tv pre-wire and requested to contractor and design center that it be placed on right of fireplace and it was installed incorrectly on the left and contractor did not communicate to tech that we paid for electronic box in basement; we waited about 3 weeks after move in to have it installed. Per blueprint, outlet in entryway, but is missing. Punch list was not done when we moved in and still waiting a month later. Damaged materials were used as baseboards, door frames, porch materials with gouges and construction attempted to patch them instead of replacing with undamaged. small things are normal, but the kitchen cabinets are a huge issue, did not get what we paid for and most need replaced. Design center needs to inform customers they are not getting solid wood cabinets even if you upgrade. Only good thing is the sales lady is kind and patient, construction manager came over to fix handrailing and screw somethings in after we moved in, and warranty department responded quickly. People are nice but quality and communication not so great. ... More

I think the people here all did great explaining and showing me how everything was put into the house and how it worked. They jumped on any issues that I had. They fixed anything I pointed out or that happened right after move in.

Great house that I love it.

I gave 3 stars for their team set up for different needs. There are some good intentions, but lacking quality controls, perhaps, it came from the top. I was impressed at the beginning for weekly conference calls due to COVID, for updates in different phases of construction. There are FOUR poor qualities that I never ever experienced with new construction, but KHovanian, 1. Painting, one coat and sloppy workmanship, exteriors stucco paint was done like a kindergarten coloring, when the painter come touch up, they just put a glob of paint that made it worst. 2. Stucco has spider web cracked all around, i was told construction and service crew that’s NORMAL. 3. Pavers for driveway and no step were not in compliance for safety, again quick sloppy work, tripping hazard. Why no body supervised the quality 4. The easy fix with front landscape but they made into an undesirable offering, just because HOA would take care of it, whatever available on the landscaper truck being flopped down like a muffin tray. No comment sense in that matter. Everything was rushed to close and two major items like garage door was damaged and adjustment was off, made a lot of noise. Pavers driveway and safety no step were all promised by construction supervisor that would have it fixed ASAP, cabinet doors were also damaged. Closed on 7/23/21, today is 9/13/21 nothing was done. Construction crew primary focus to get other houses completed, could careless for my house that already closed, because they already met quota and company already got the money. After the closing, there are several other minor things on punch list, the service team picked up in addition the driveway and garage door. The team was promptly lining up all vendors to take care of things. Except stuff was promised by Construction crew. I felt so uncomfortable dealing with the first guy from service team. I expressed my concern about the poor quality that i mentioned at the beginning, paint, stucco, pavers, landscape, etc. I felt that person was not listening, he was busy talking at me, and told me that kind quality is NORMAL and “that’s why you paid this price” 3/4 million dollar home with poor quality with KHovnian is normal!!! The construction crew also said this poor quality is also NORMAL. One coat of paint, after one or two years it will need to repaint, HOA will increase and we the homeowner will have to pay for it . It’s a perfect scheme from the top. Just because I am a women/non American, I had purchased new construction homes more than average people in the last 16 years in Arizona. The noise from A/C inside the wall in master bedroom is LOUD , again I was told that’s NORMAL. When A/C mechanic came, he said it’s not normal. There’re remedies to fix that, however, builder has to approve it, one month later no one approve it. Just to sum it up, I am very disappointed !!! ... More

1 Start is too much. The sales process rushed us through decisions, lied, and then had absolutely no accountability after our decisions were made and they messed up. We made several trips to try to hold the teams hands and help the process go more smoothly. Once our contract was signed, we made sure to monitor the progress and were amazed at how incompetant the GC (John H.) was, and how the labor was unqualified to perform general duties. After being rushed through the closing process, we were asked to hide issues so employees "would not get into trouble" and told they would make sure we ended up with an acceptable product. We were also told that K. Hovnanian only looks to make a profit and really is not the builder to choose if you expect any quality. The focus is on speed and profit, at the buyers expense. Since closing we have encountered: A driveway that has 2 feet of consistant standing water Two roof leaks Damaged drywall due to leaks Not functioning A/C Shower doors and tile installed incorrectly leading to flooding and tile damage No grass planted in major areas of the house (Mud and erosion occuring) Several electrical components not functioning Poorly installed cabinetry (we fixed at our own expense) Doors that don't close Several plumbing leaks Appliance installed incorrectly and not leveled No working hot water ... The builders, loan providers have lack in professionalism.

I believe in and love the house they built. I'm very happy with my current house built by K. Hovnanian.

John and Jodi were VERY helpful, great people to work with. I like the quality of my new home.

Buying a new build is usually with certain doubts! A perfectly good looking model home can never guarantee your house will be the same, especially when you have no experiences/references on the builder. We find ourselves lucky with K Hovnanian as our house finally turned out great and up to our expectation. We are really impressed with Bannon at the final walk through and Amanda in Sales helped to extend the closing time.

The sales consultant was amazing . A far as the it took longer to close and it really created issues.

Though home took 2 additional months to close, it was understandable based on market and material conditions. Very happy with our home and the sales and service teams.

The constructors are very nice.

The overall experience was pleasant. The sales portion could've been better for a first time home-owner, however the construction team and process was exceptional.

Got my home and couple things were not right. Reported them to the representative and have not heard anything back it’s been more then a month that things are reported but no one got back with an answer.

All around great experience! We were always well taken care of!

Again, the whole process was great. Allison was an excellent contact/realtor that work with Us, she’s great with updates on where we at, the only downside of it was the delay in installing the meter which made us stay for a week in a hotel since key turn over was push back 2 times, we know it’s beyond builder control but it can still be avoided on my opinion if key turn over was scheduled after meter was installed. Over all experience was great 4 stars instead of five because of this hiccup.

We were so happy to find a house! The market became crazy and builders were taking advantage! KHOV helped us get into our brand new home without pushing up the cost unnecessarily and gave us a great timeline. They were done on time with no delays and kept us informed with photos and phone calls once a week We love our new community and our neighbors are great! Our house has tons of storage and our backyard has so much room we are putting in a pool! Thanks to KHOV and the people on site and in the office we have our brand new home!

Charlie was extremely helpful throughout the building/walkthrough/closing process. He answered all our questions patiently, and also made sure that all the pending work was taken care of before closing. This allowed us to close the house even when we were remore. Lisa was equally helpful all throughout the process. Thank you for a great service.

I had a great experience. Everyone was helpful, compassionate and concerned.

Inspect homes thoroughly before move in. High chance home contains workmanship issues.

If you use KHov, make sure you buy a home that's already built / that you can see the workmanship. They "churned and burned" our home and didn't even completely finish it before moving on. Such a terrible experience with this builder, I would never use them again in a million years.

Overall it is a satisfying journey with kHOV.
