I must express gratitude on behalf of my family for all the assistance given to us in purchasing our new K. Hovnanian Home. Our sales representative Sylvia and Project Manager Robert were thorough professional and went out of their way to make our experience great. They were prompt, attentive and very very helpful throughout the process. Our home loan processors were fantastic as well. I was bit disappointed that we had to pay higher mortgage rate than market. My New Year's resolution was to buy a new home and K. Hovnanian made this possible for me. As I was looking around, I stopped by the Retreat and the Aruba floor caught my attention for a number of reasons primarily the organization of the space. I knew that I will living in it one day and today I am enjoying the Aruba. My new home suits my personality, speaks to me, and brings me a ton of joy. Thank you K. Hovnanian team for such amazing work!

The overall house is nice. I feel like k hov should put poles lights so that it’s not pitch dark at night and maybe a playground for the kids. Everything about this place is dark and old school except the new houses. Not sure of how long I will stay. Not to mention very few places to eat out and the Walmart is like going to petco too many dogs. I feel like I’ve left civilization and it’s hard adjusting. I wish that I would have chosen Ryan homes in Culpeper and that’s only because of the location. Also why is it that none of the bathroom showers have a place for soap or towels.

So far things are going well. Respond to complaints and issues are poor from builders and the office as a whole.

My home buying experience was okay overall. The sales agent was wonderful and really helped make the process smoother. My biggest regret is not getting a home inspector before purchasing. I felt rushed during my walkthrough and was told that any issues would be taken care of even after closing. Honestly, it’s been a bit of a challenge. They have addressed many of my concerns, but quite a few things have been put on the back burner because they say the home needs time to settle. Unfortunately, many of these issues were already there before I moved in, but I didn’t notice them at the time.

I had a great experience with the sales office. Communication was excellent. I also had a good experience with the contractors on home delivery. But the quality of the home being built is the worst out of all builders whom I have had in the past. 1) The AC damper was installed WITHOUT power and broken. Immediately after moving in I noticed that only the upstairs vent blows and not the downstairs; causing the multiple issues. When called Chas & Robert - the AC company that KHov partnered with, the technician that the damper was never installed correctly in the beginning. Now, I am still dealing with this AC issue after 2 and a half months of moving in. 2) The bath tub standing pipe is wobbly. It just was not screwed in properly. 3) The patio door shakes every time the the garage door slams which, it should have not. 4) There was a big stain left on the carpet going into the master bathroom after they delivered the house. Out of all these four issues, I fine the AC issue the most unacceptable! I should not be dealing with this on a brand new home with a brand new AC unit. ... More

Quality of workmanship and materials is based on the several issues with ac unit not cooling, now that it is fixed, humming is heard onside garage from ac on other side of wall. Also, the shower upstairs only had hot water until fixed. The room floor is squeaky after a month and most likely not going to be repaired as i haven't heard anything after submitting a ticket; I havent even gotten a response on why it is or not covered by warranty, this the reason for a four star on responsiveness on issues. Value for the price was low because we locked in our house early then after all the house in the hightower estates community lowered the pri es about 25,000; khov refused the lower the price on ours; in my opinion this points to the value doesnt meet the price. ... Pleasant home buying experience, however the quality of build is not like my previous townhome. Can hear almost every footstep from neighboring homes and every time a toilet is flushed or water is on, it is audible in my home. Also can hear neighbors voices through certain walls. Also drainage from gutter spills right into yard, making for moist ground and mosquitos.

Rhonda and Jeremy are fantastic and went above and beyond in helping us. The quality of the home could be better. During the inspection the shower door was leaking water, mirrors weren't centered over the sinks in the bathroom, barn door was hung on the wrong side of the wall. The painters could of done a better job. We have to remove paint from the floor ourselves. The bath tub creaks when you stand in it. Jeremy has helped in resolving alot of these issues

First of all, we are enjoying our new home! We have recently had A/C issues and the warranty policy came through but, it took them a week to resolve the problem. And another issue is why would the builder install 24” doors going into the bathrooms? We also had a water leak issue at the water meter in which we had to hire a plumber to fix and turned requests for reimbursement along with video to water supply company and have not received any response! I would like to highlight the attitude of the staff towards customers when they first step into their office and treating them like poor given the home value the customer wants to buy vs what KHOV is offering in other communities at a higher place. I heard from many people in the community that they are also been treated like this. Of course the home values in certain areas are higher but that doesn’t mean the customers are treated like that. Definitely the attitude has to be changed either it’s KHOV or their front office staff. We are giving you the equal business as the same customer who buys a million dollar home. Thanks ... More

We have no problem with the first person assigned to us about bringing up what needs to be fixed/touch up in our new home,he was very responsive even on a weekend but khov change the person that who should he assisting us with our house concerns,the replacement is no lt as responsive as our first guy to the point that my WO expires and have to do it again and again due to scheduling,I did my best to tell him that my work schedule variea and communicating with him my my availabilty was.Still no fix,now Infound more things that needs to get fix and Ill open ticket again until this gets done

During the sales process everything was amazing, the house itself is great. Now when it comes to getting things done and replaced. The representative for my community is not very communicative, says she will do something and doesn’t. Have talked to her several times and nothing gets done.

The homes are beautiful, but everything was built cheap. Materials under was the cheapest materials ever.

Thanks from finance, support and administration, and service department for all their support and help regarding this home purchase process, but the material quality and the way the house build is very cheap and lots of issues observed during the walk through and after that even its model house, but a special thanks to service and support team to helping us fix these coming up issues.

Our purchase experience and process of building was excellent. Since completion, we have had 2 issues that we cannot get KHov to respond to. One with our irrigation system and now with a failed inspection by the Lewes water department.
