Brandon was always extremely helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. He is friendly, knowledgeable and always approachable which I've appreciated. You guys need 1,000 Brandons! Unlike Dustin, my main contact who always made me feel like I was bothering him. To no surprise, he left the company and went into some sort of Construction endeavor if I remember correctly which is probably better suited for him. He should NOT be in any sort of Customer Service position. Don't get me wrong, he addressed things because I pushed for them but I could tell by our interactions that he was overwhelmed, over worked and pretty much hated his job. This is the first time my self or my wife have purchased a BRAND new home. We have owned 2 other homes but these were ''as is'' purchases. There are pros & cons to both. I will first say that K Hovnanian has obviously done a lot of work & put a ton of thought into making this process go as smooth as possible. And for the most part that is what we experienced. I would suggest that KH help NEW home buyers understand there is a pretty big difference if they've never purchased a NEW home. We would have made different choices in upgrades had we had a clearer understanding. After al the choices were made and we signed on the bottom line ( shocklingly stressful) the build was great, the sales people (Don) were on it, sending pictures, updates, calling and they finished ahead of schedule! Love that part. Then came the 'punch list' close. They were VERY thorough, covered everything. We could'nt wait to get moved in. We come to close day and the punch list isnt finished...but we're closing! We still closed ...my suggestion don't close until you are 100% satisfied...otherwise they get so busy moving on to the build of other homes you get forgotten ( or at least it felt that way) It is simply to difficult to pull a tradesperson off a build to fix a door or paint some trim...I get it. But it has not been fun since we closed trying to schedule these things, having to miss work , wait all day for someone to show ( or not) or have the wrong tools and have to reschedule it! We've been in nearly 4 months and still have things that need fixin. But that is part of the NEW home purchase. We love it. KHov is really a great company. There's always room for improvement, right. In my company, it gets chaoticly busy at times and the simple small details get overlooked. happens . Glad we made the decision to move here and use KHOV , bottomline 9.5/ 10 ... More

Good experience to buy home

Waiting on my missing roof shinges to be put up. Interior issues also and no shower door.

I was so excited in purchasing this home but wish I had a chance to decorate.

The sales and construction team were the best, they were always responsive, resourceful, and available to help. The sales team made this experience smooth, providing the information needed and support in a very human and professional manner.

Everybody was very helpful

We were very pleased that the timing from purchase to move in was what they initially projected and pretty much flawless. We were pleased with our new home and the few concerns we had were handled in a relatively timely manner.

We are happy with our finished home; issues after close are not major and are addressed in a timely manner. But it was very stressful getting here. Our home was 3.5 months late, requiring that we find interim lodging and two moves, costing us over $10K. Our house closed on the last day that our rate lock( that we paid to get) was good for and we had so many delays that we did not trust that we would close before the rate expired. Also, It took me 2+ months of pleading to get the 12 foot wall that was 5 feet from the window side of my house to be redone with view fencing on the top half, restoring light into our house. These are not custom homes but the construction team would try to help make minor changes when asked, but they are under tight rules from the builder. The builder uses a lot of subcontractors for the various activities (stucco, electrical, cabinets, etc) and the subcontractors were of mixed reliability and quality. The lathe and plaster guys walked, leaving our home open to the rainy weather for 9 weeks…. Hopefully the mold that formed was adequately addressed. ... More

Our home Buying experience with the building was really good. They were very responsive and professional. We really love our home. Great job!

The houses are beautiful and the place is very nice, the neighbors are beautiful people too.

The sales and build teams were great to work with. They were responsive to my inquiries and helpful when help was needed.

Fast process, love our new home.

Overall experience is great! The only thing that I would recommend is when you see your home buyer is older, it’s not their first go around with a home, so sending that checklist of “to do” items each month is a bit insulting..

The members at K.Hovnanian have been amazing. We are first time home buyers and they walked us through the entire process. They are trustworthy and thorough. The builders were also great and respond with diligence and promptness to any issues you may have with the build. I would 100% recommend K.Hovnanian to any future home buyers!

It was a great experience.

We enjoyed working with K. Hovnannian. It was unfortunate that the market drove up the price, but we are happy with what we have compared to other builders who were way more expensive. We would have liked if they would have allowed us to make minor adjustments and inclusions to the home at our expense but they didn’t. Any issues or problems they fix immediately. We really appreciated the weekly updates from Josh our builder, he did an excellent job of keeping us informed of every step in the building process. Also, our contact at K. Feel that the construction superintendent and his staff are rushed by the bean counters at corporate to close prematurely before the home is completed. Start up is slow, took about 3 months after signing to break ground, then things move along at a steady pace. Towards the end, everything seems rushed, builder had to change original closing date because of material issues. Day of closing the builder is still scrambling to finish the home. Neighbors that closed close to our date got the same line, if the city approved a certificate of occupancy, builder closed, no mater if the house was finished or what. May be legal, but not ethical. Beware and stand your ground, don't close if you are not satisfied at final walk through. ... More

Ismael went above and beyond to get us into our house as quickly as possible. Any issues that have come up since we moved in have been taken care of quickly.

I am pleased with the overall process.

I had a great experience with khov construction and home warranty. Craig and Matt were so nice and would always go the extra mile to help customers. Everett from the home warranty was also a gem. My experience with the sales office was good at times, but I found my sales point of contact to not be fully trustworthy. My realtor and I had to follow up to get responses and the poc often said he wouldn’t bring our requests to management since he knew they would say no. I would say your experience depends on who have as your pocs. If you find a way to contact khov construction on your needs, I think you’d have a better experience. ... More

Over all good experiences

Slight delays were frustrating but the sales team and on site team were very reassuring and responsive to my requests.

Our unit was delivered late due to multiple issues over the year e.g. getting the utilities run to the complex and bad weather. We love our new home but had issues with cleanliness, paint all over the floors, error in undercabinet lighting, and flooring workmanship. The team we worked directly with were/are responsive and it seems we are working through all the issues. We closed on Oct 30, 2022 and it is now Feb 7, 2023 with issues still pending. One issue is pretty big and requires the subflooring to be removed and a beam shaved down.

I've been in contact with many home builders, but KHov team has been among the best teams to work with.
