Working with Joe and James was a pleasure

The house was move in ready but there was a lot discrepancies that needed to be addressed. I felt unprepared when I moved in. It’s an information overload but also there is information that is never given. I was given answered to my questions in the moment only to find out they were wrong answers and made me feel lied to. The warranty person has been great. When I do have tickets they are handled immediately or I get a call immediately that it will be handled. I wish the builders took more care before we moved in so I didn’t have strangers in my house for warranty. It’s a huge stressor to me to find someone who can be here for it, or take time off to be home fortunately our warranty agent usually plans it all for the same day. Is it possible that if the builders took more caution it would have been done prior too. Some information I asked for the builders refused to give me. Information on what my electrical is rated and where the wires are were denied to me which is crazy because as I improve my house I don’t know what or where my electrical is. They also aren’t sure what the inside paint colors are for doors and baseboards. I would of liked all this in my email or printed information. The warranty agent has been very helpful, but I wish the builders either had more time, been more aware of the trades and their workmanship so I wouldn’t have to call warranty always. Quality home with a good team to get it built and this sales team were extremely supportive to the buyer on tough times and rising interest rates.

This is my first home purchase and our sales representative, Ashley was amazing. She really made the process as easy and painless as possible. My only grief is that there was multiple damages to the wood floors and overspill in many areas. Thankfully, they were quick to respond to repair these issues.

In terms of communication, Mr. Aaron always was willing to explain with details and response any questions and always very fast. In terms of construction, I guess the walk-through is not enough to see any issues, you will find scratches in mirrors, stains on the floors that you have to scratch and clean over and over, bumps under the carpet, things that you actually notice when you live in the house and start cleaning, sweeping, etc. Overall, it was ok, not a WOW for me.

Our sales rep Danielle was great throughout the entire process she kept us up to date with what was going on every week with videos and pictures. The home is great, there’s a couple little things that we’ll be contacting the warranty department about but they are very minor. Overall we are very happy.

Overall KHov was responsive and provides a good product. Attention to detail for a new home needs to be improved by their subcontractors, but in most cases they respond in a timely manner. As in any home buying situation stay engaged and document any issues. The important thing is that they will make it right when something does happen. We love the house and thank the team for the final product.

The sales person Todd Brewer is great and impressed by his professionalism and responsiveness. The construction manager Jeff is also vey easy to deal with. But the person, John, who led us for the Walkthrough was not much of a professional guy. He does not like to give answer to our questions. He behaves as if "I am gonna read these things that I prepared to read, you just shut up, and listen, and get done with it." I do not know how to deal with this person for the entire time of warranty. Unfortunately for me, he is THE contact person if anything happens during the warranty period. Sad!

I had a great experience with the sales offices - especially Joe. They listened and answered questions over and over again each time I asked with a smile. The construction team - especially James were amazing. Going above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied with the work being done to the house. The only unpleasant experience was with the mortgage company through Khov in particular - Andrew. He was very unprofessional and did not have the knowledge and background to assist with a purchase that started in November and completed in July. Kenny and Giuseppe were both extremely friendly and easy to work with.

Good Experience! Nice people! Great locations! But still found some issues after closing.

All things above were well taken care of. Questions were informed and answered quickly. Our realtor was wonderful!

CHarlie had been super helpful.

Overall it was a good experience. For the Price of the home, not completing the mudroom bench the full 90" and not completing the wet-bar in the basement is a shame.

The whole process was a bit hiccuping with Change of staff. But the orientation, home maintenance and appliance review for extended warranty was very detailed and thorough. I appreciate follow up calls to remind me of ownership responsibilities and privilege.

Overall, I had a pretty good experience with the whole building process.. There were some issues along the way.. Primarily communication regarding status updates and repairs.. I’m assuming due to job turnover… However, I just wanted to take a moment to recognize my loan processor, Ben B. He has been the best part of the entire building experience.. I say this because he was always prompt in informing me of any changes, he was always honest with me with good news or bad news (that awful interest rate spike), and he was always available to answer questions or explain terms I didn’t fully understand. He kept in contact with me every step of the way, and again helped me understand the how or why behind the decisions I needed to make financially. It is also very obvious that he stays privy to all areas of the process as there were several times I heard about construction delays or problems from him first.. Days in advance before hearing from the construction/sales coordinators.. Ben understood that communication was the most important aspect to me throughout the home buying process- as I could absolutely understand delays and hiccups that were inevitably going to occur- so long as those delays were communicated to me. Ben did a phenomenal job from start to finish, and I want to wholeheartedly thank him for his hard work and efforts that made buying a home with K. Hov a happy experience. The process was very fast, the builder kept you informed weekly, the loan process was very detailed about what they was needed to process your loan. Overall you will enjoy your home.

Bill was very informative and helpful. The questions he could not answer, he got back to me right away with a bountiful of information. He was honest, and candid about how Hovnanian operates, what was in scope or not but always went back to the team with our requests. This was one of my better experiences while shopping for a new home.

Matthew and Buddy are very honest and trustworthy. Two very easy people to do business with.

It was a good experience with the builder's team. the quality is above average.
