Good overall. Everything is good quality, just some things a little rushed, but they're responsive with the fixing. Only downside is the price, as it is everywhere. Overall 4/5. Free upgrades I think it deserves for the price: installed smart thermostat, smart doorbell (so it's easy to replace), and at least one HVAC vent in the loft, since it's quite the pricy upgrade and it gets VERY hot in the summer, and VERY cold in the winter. My AC unit unfortunately doesn't heat/cool at the moment, so I might be extra bias on that one.

We felt on our walk through was rushed. and then we felt the house wasn't cleaned as well as we thought it should be upon move in. Couple of issues we noted on walk through were brushed off. (for example...".Oh just put some cleaner on that"...) We did eventually get things taken care of but not until after we made a list and it was fixed through warranty.. But it really shouldn't have been done that way. We do like our home....

The design and location of the home are excellent, just what we wanted. The building experience was limited in terms of choices and there was little flexibility about anything--We couldn't even ask them to leave something out if we didn't want it, we just had to remove it later ourselves. The workmanship seems to be good generally, although the drywall and painting finish work was OK at best. The builder does respond quickly to problems after the sale.

Construction and material quality is not good. We are seeing many issues in month 1 itself. I have received justification that it is because of weather change. I have another home in similar weather condition and never saw such issues in the last 5 years. I would suggest to find solution of the problem rather than justifying.

There were items that I would have liked to have included and they refused. In this northern area, I would have preferred to have the garage insulated and the hvac included. It makes for a very cold environment in the winter and hot in the summer.

It was pretty seamless from start to finish.

Too soon to evaluate the quality of materials. Only been here three months. We are concerned that much of the structure of the latest building being built needed to be torn down and is scheduled to be redone.

After months of searching for the perfect home, we found this quick move in home at Rancho Cordova with great incentives esp the rate buy down. The sales person John is accommodating and they resolve issues quick. Will def recommend.

The sales process was handled by Russell very well with weekly photos of the building progress. The closing process went OK. The Builder did not have the county permit on the day we closed therefore we could not get our keys to our new home. The Builder also failed to provide proper documentation to the Post Office to validate all the new addresses at this location. We are still having problems with companies unable to update our new address in their systems. Our address is NOT in the US Postal Service data base. The condo is what we expected. The process of building the house was pretty good even though much of it had to be done from out of state. Nick in sales was very responsive and accommodating. The build was done 1 month early which was a major benefit for our family. The process of buying was smooth with Khov financing even though our 1st payment never went to Khov because they sold the loan the day after we signed. The warranty support has been prompt. The longer we are in it, though, the more we can tell that the quality of work in some places is sloppy. (Ex. tile work in the bathrooms, carpet laid over trash, missed painting over primer, the finishing work like caulking throughout the home, overall attention to detail, etc). You can also tell when you get a closer look, some of the materials used are not quality products (ex. the top tier carpet is still builder grade, some of the wood work is pressed boards, etc). Its a great experience buying a new house and the first day we signed the contract was norhing short. The closing was smooth with most of the issues taken care of before and some after. There are still some issues and quirks that we are realizing and I am sure it would be taken care but wish the builders were thoughtful in the design and quality of construction. The construction area was always dirty and we are seeing aideeffects of yhe same 4 mobths after closing with windows stained and drawers not sliding. These are minor though but could have been taken care of. The builders mortgage company ensured that they took back every dime that was allocated for a closing costs, very sly and cunning trick. But then everybody is trying to get every dime out of the customers pocket. All in all. I am happy with this place we call home. ... More

The process was good. Just be sure to express your concerns and follow through with them. We’re thankful for an amazing realtor and great sales team that helped pull the weight of the construction team.

The surrounding residential area is quite quiet, and as a residential area, there are many convenient facilities, which is quite nice.

Initial item/punch lists not handled well or at all. New person in charge of fixing items is on it and awesome. Not thrilled with paint option for texture delete walls. I would have paid for upgrade to next paint level. House interior needs to be painted already because white flat gets marked up by the air. Not a reasonable thing to have to do after 3 months. Cabinet choices were not great for price point of house, as well as lack of cabinets/closets. Gourmet kitchen has a tiny fridge. I would extend a few of the options. More cabinets through kitchen dining area/ offer some floor design and kitchen designs ideas/portfolio ahead of design process to make that a more comfortable process. The house is nice but some of these issues would have made it to next level. Sales people and construction managers were very helpful. Financing should have had a 2-3 yr rate buydown because expecting to buy a home in 3-4 percent and it being 3 percent higher is not a good move. ... More

We love our KHovnanian home! The very few issues we’ve had after moving in have been taken care of and the house feels very well built. We liked the floor plans and we’re glad to find one that fit everything we needed in our first home together.

I have had one major issue with the house and the warranty executive was dismissive and unhelpful. Luckily the construction team took my problem seriously and fixed the issue, I.e. no insulation in the house! I’m concerned about working with warranty again as the representative was disrespectful. Other than that, I’m happy with the house and the sales department was very good.

Pros: High value for money, great layouts Cons: Cuts corners in quality in frw places, very inflexible in terms accomodating even simple change requests

Overall we had a good and professional experience however an incident occurred that delayed the closing that we were never in the loop off.

I felt good about my purchase a little upsetting with the final move in. The quality is subpar as far as the materials used. As for the builders team, they were not as efficient nor effective as to all that was promised. (Touch up paint after move in, none was left as promised, after inquiring I was told they don’t do that anymore, no cleaning after work completed. No timely response to my questions and issues. Overall was a good experience. At our unit the the builder did not get high quality materials. All the doors are unpainted ,also some walls find unpainted.

We love our new home, however, we were very disappointed in the workmanship of the drywall finish. There were and still are poorly finished areas on the wall. You could almost say the guy was drunk when he spackled the walls...gouges, cuts, drops of spackle, areas of no sanding; awful. Also, does your builder think everyone is 7 feet tall?? Why are the shower heads and the bathroom light bars nearly 8 feet high?? For us, at retired age, it will be very difficult to change light bulbs and merely clean the fixture. Ridiculous.
