Excellent with the whole process

The fire alarms do not have good qualities and the support team is very reluctant to fix this issues!

Everyone was great only one thing that's very awful is the super attendance he is very rude to females when their husband isn't there at the home when looking and asking questions about the home bought our home has a broken lock on the downstairs window notified the super attendance Juan to fix it he said he'll come out in a week not to fix it but to drop off the lock at the door and its been almost 2 months and still no sign from Juan nor the lock smh.

Most of the process was smooth, and they have been responsive regarding the issues found, to a point. I am disappointed in the 10 day warranty they have. There have been several issues found after being in the home for 10 days like poor workmanship on the tile, a chip in the quartz countertop, marks on the tub, etc. When you move into a new home, there are many things going on, and you tend to miss stuff until things settle down. But after 10 days they don't allow you to report certain issues.

- Quality - The quality of the materials used is great, the execution of installation at least in my case, was rushed and therefore substandard. They are still contacting me to finish duct blaster testing (I've been living in my home for 45 days) which should have been completed prior to my move in. They demanded that we close no later than a specific date but they didn't finish construction until just a few days before closing. Only allowing a few days for the walk through to be completed. On top of that they keep hassling you about giving them 5 stars on this rating. Stop asking and earn it. - Value- That being said I believe the value was there, definitely a good purchase. Not 5 stars because of the rushed work and the subsequent work requests I've had to put in and make time for them to fix. - Trustworthiness - 'At least they tell you they're cheap in some areas' Lighting for example, I was told by them that pretty much all of my lights would have to be replaced soon. I expected them to last at least a year. Nope, nearly all of my exterior lights and about 1/3 of my interior lights have either burnt out, dimmed significantly or are flickering. Since they were very upfront about that among other things, they get nearly full points for trustworthiness. Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. 1. They demanded earnest money to close by a specific date. No problem. Only that they did not finish building until three days prior to the last day we could close without incurring fees. The walk though and final walk though were just 1 day apart! 2. We were lied to during the selling about gaps on the underside of the fence. Probably just a misunderstanding (I don't think it was malicious) between what sales thinks construction can/will do. - Responsiveness - It's slow. I expect it to be slow. I don't expect a business to prioritize warranty issues. I put in a request to fix a door and it took a week to get a reply. Therefore, a 4 star 'okay' rating. They respond and resolve issues without much fuss but it's not a 5 star response. All that being said, I want to shout out an all-star that they have working for them. Robert. The construction manager has been super honest and very helpful, he was given a nearly impossible timeline and has been working tirelessly to assist us. He alone is why my rating is not significantly lower. If I was just rating him, then I would give him 5 stars all around! ... More

beautiful house, love the construction. However just a week after moving in ,door knobs falling off kitchen cabinets falling off, and the screen door coming off, no instructions on configuring garage gate and garage key gate . So overall im not happy with the way my family and I were treated after closing the house.

Unlike the models, the driveways in front of the garage are way to short to park a standard car. Disgraceful!

Overall, we are happy with our new home. We did however we did have a couple of minor hiccups with the purchasing process and having the punch list knocked out. This is my fifth house that I have purchased. This process could be a little better. The great thing is that K. Hovananian has managed to construct Homes in ideal locations for work and to live. Our agent was extremely responsive and very helpful to our concerns. She continues to help even after the closing.

Though there were some problems at move in, I love my new house. Unfortunately, there was a gas issue at closing. I called in a ticket, and the plumber came but was not able to find it. A month later I still smelled gas. A different plumber came who found the leak and replaced the piece that was defective. I'm glad the problem was solved, but disappointed the first visit did not resolve the problem.

Good experience overall, but somewhat major items were missed such as 2 ceiling fan rough-ins. Getting issues resolved after move in is slow.

The house is a great house. There are a few minor things that need to be looked at after a month in. The women in sales were great to work with. Financing was a nightmare. We had everything lined up with another financial group but got talked into using Khov for financing. That was a huge mistake. And to top it off they sold our loan to another company in the first two weeks.

The house is our dream but due to bad grading in the back, we have a swamp like area. After several weeks of back and forth with the builder, we had to get the city inspector to cease occupancy permits for the remainder of the development before they would entertain correcting the grading. It has been a month now since they had stated they were going to fix the issue but still haven't started the work. They also haven't fixed the chip in the bathroom counter that happened before home inspection.

Nice place to live.

Some of the workmanship was less than par ( Paint & Tile). Some of the promises such as adding more flooring and step up to 2nd level in the attic was never performed. Sloppy concrete on brick, cracked concrete in the garage step. Other than those items were fairly happy with everything.

Even though we did not move to the new home: *our sink has RUST on it and its has to be fixed or changed. They said it will be fixed. I wanted to be documented that if after being fixed the sink still started rusting, IT HAS TO BE CHANGED. *as a result of rain, our basement got wet and had some water. it is very very bad to move to a house which damaged by rain water. *The sump pump was not draining. This problem has been fixed. *The air filter for air condition system was so bad and it was black even though no one used it yet. They put the used and damage one in there!!. We love our house, but we are noticing a lot of little things, now that we are living here, that we missed on our walkthroughs. It seems to me a stricter check or verification of work after the house is finished should be in order. Nothing major, just little things you wouldn’t expect to find. Paint thinly applied on walls and cabinets, master bathroom toilet seat was up on both our walkthroughs, but when down reveals chips on the top of the lid, loose screws on kitchen cabinets, guest toilet running constantly, etc. etc. Overall, we are happy. Love the floor plan, and the house.

After loving our first K.Hovnanian we decided to do it again after just 2 years. I do believe since we this development was near closing corners got cut and unfortunately Im not as pleased with the girst purchase. I would still recommend the builder but I'd love to see the same great workmanship be more consistant. Even with minor issues I still love my new home!!!

Overall the experience was great from the salesman to the KHOV account management. The only issue I have is the finishing details were rushed.

This is my first time buying an inventory home. I was sad that since it was fully built I could not go back and add or change out for things I wanted. Over all the home is well build. Builder is responsive to service call within the first month of moving in.

My wife and I had a great buying experience and found a great deal on the model home. Sale went smoothly but then we started to find all the poor quality materials in the house causing minor problems which we are now replacing/fixing. Replacing toilets, towel bars, floors are squeaking all throughout the house and have to run electric to the wet bar that has a mini fridge but no plug to power it under the bar.

Before the keys are handed over make sure everything is ready for the homeowner

On the sales side Nate was amazing! He was my go to throughout the whole ordeal. If ever there were questions, answered or did whatever in his power to find the answer. My family’s experience with The finance side would be rated 3 stars maybe less. There was a time we went 6 days without hearing anything back. Just because my family and I had a challenging file shouldn’t make us any less worthy of getting responded to in a timely fashion. I will say this. We truly appreciate Melissa for going above and beyond in getting us an approval. She helped to make our dreams come true. Whenever she had questions or a request for us, we got whatever she asked for within hours. On the other hand, when we had questions as far as wanting updates on the process, we’d at times wait anywhere from 24 hours to 72 hours. We were never told “hey you won’t hear from me in a couple days until (whatever reason). We were constantly left guessing. All of this while our lease was it March 1. Open until the week of closing we were in limbo and in the dark about the status of our loan. So you can imagine our frustration when we have to go to the sales rep to ask him to call Melissa for updates at times. What is it is a great person and was never rude to us. I’d say that that communication just needs to be better. John the builder was good and very helpful at the start of the process. I just wish he followed through to make sure everything was complete before we closed on our home. The cleaning person left a card saying the house was clean. That was not the case. We got our keys and opened the door for the first time expecting to see the perfection that John said would be there. The floors had white shoe prints all over it as if workers were doing stuff around the house and they never got back around to cleaning up the floor. This was weeks before the stay at home order. I informed John and he said that he would have someone come bye and clean the house. That never happened. John was very helpful in getting our air ducks looked at when the At&t technician spotted that one was loose. John was always good about responding to our texts within 24hours and that’s appreciated. I just wish there were consistent actions behind the responses (before the stay at home, order). The sheet rock people had us on the schedule but had to push back due to the coronavirus. That’s totally understandable. We have two lights that’s not fully attached to the ceiling and we’re nervous about them falling. We were told that we’d have to wait until the Coronavirus pandemic passes by. I totally get that, but the reason I mention it is because this was pointed out during the first walk through and again at the second walk through. It was suppose to be taken care of before we moved in. Now we’re in fear of the light falling on one of our children. Besides those mishaps that might have been out of John’s hands, we’ve had our overall good experience with you guys. I’m just a strong believer that companies can’t get better unless consumers are honest on these customer reviews. Needless to say, I hope no one gets in trouble behind this, but I hope there’s some type of training or education that comes after this, So that the next customer has nothing but great things to say about the KHavnanian experience. Hopefully those next customers are my in-laws. I talked about the homes so much that now they are interested in buying the house next-door. They are older and not as patient as I am, so I’m hoping these issues are fixed before they decide to buy a home with you guys. ... More

Overall good. Just had issue with what I thought I was getting, and it ended up being totally different. The issue was resolved but only because we were consistent in what we expected.

Process was quick and easy. Craftsmanship was a bit lacking, just messy in some respect. LOVE the area.

Poor paint job throughout. Some windows don’t lock or even close without massive drafts. Tons and tons of nail pops that it is embarrassing to invite people over. Terrible toilet handles. The washers that hold the handles in place come loose weekly and I feel like a plumber/handyman. At least we are all home bound for another month. Great more problems and cannot get them fixed until our 11th month.
