Love the home. Beautiful modern design even though a little expensive for the area. Service has been good in general to issues after I moved in but builder is unwilling to address issues with sod as its not covered by warranty. Bough my last house from Toll Brothers and they changed half the sod in my lawn as it became a little yellow. Expected more from K Hovnanian as I paid twice as much for this home.

The key to Westwood is Brandi in sales. The weak point in Westwood is Brent in the building process. Brandi sets just a great platform for Khov and tries to maintain the balance and clean up brent’s messes. He needs to be retrained, take a time management class or be able to do what he says he will, when he says, which is few and far in between. Nice guy, but not trustworthy and gives homeowners an uneasy feeling when making the biggest purchase of their life. Please fix the issue and try to resolve at the lowest level. Brandi works too hard in Westwood to be destroyed by Brent’s actions.

As a whole, we were satisfied with the process. It seemed that if anything’s was asked for that didn’t fit in the box as is, it was way too much to discuss. Repair items that I mentioned were not only belittled but mostly unaddressed.

The KHOV process was made as smooth for us as possible, and we love our home. We had the builder Tim, the sales associate Saul, and the loan advisor Mrs. Mason work with us throughout the whole process, and they went above and beyond to ensure we received our home promptly. I would say that we were given a lot of incentives that we used towards our home upgrades and have enjoyed the benefit of being the first member of the community to live here in KHOV Fowler. There were a few difficult times with communication, as some plans went on ahead without our approval from higher up. The home designer was an issue as there was minimal communication from her. However, we managed to work past it. There are a few items we wished KHOV would have honored, such as allowing us to put in our wood floors, putting in our sprinkler system, adding our sod instead of the standard bark, changing the colors of the house, or putting in our own purchased carpet, but every housing community is different. We advise that during the gold key walkthrough that you take your time observing any fixes looking at every corner, under every shelf, and asking questions about anything, you seem unsure. Bring someone with you who is knowledgable about building homes. Like I mentioned before, turn to someone knowledgeable about homes and upgrades as sometimes it might be cheaper to buy things at Lowes than to get the top upgrades from the home designer. Rest assured, though, that the people who helped us with our process were very knowledgeable and would not allow anything to go wrong because they genuinely cared about our satisfaction. Overall a good build. Had some issues with the wiring lights in living room but KH was quick to repair. Also had my heater go out in the first month for unknown reasons.

We had a rough start with the planning of our home. The wrong design was submitted, and we weren’t told about the siding color restrictions. Ultimately everything was corrected and we are very satisfied.

If it wasn’t for the new construction manager James this would be a 1-2 star rating for all. James has gone above and beyond to make this process smooth. When we moved in multiple things were done wrong and the workmen ship was below par. There were things forgotten that we paid for. But James has been extremely understanding responsive and reactive to the situation. James should be highly appreciated in the company and be compensated for his hard work. He understands customer service and drive for getting the job done correctly.

Nesha and Mathew were fantastic to work with, very attentive, responsive and understanding when issue arose. In fact all the people I had the opportunity to interact with have been extremely professional, friendly and attentive.

The sales person and building manager were fantastic through our purchase process. We were so excited to purchase our home. Once we got into our new home it has been total chaos . We saw things we didn't see during the walk through, however the building manager has been understanding and trying to take care of some of the things we found. However there are some major issues which are costing us money. The esthetics of the house is catching. I kinda wish we didn't buy this house. Check out your cabinets, look behind your stove. I always clean behind my stove and refrigerator. I pulled my stove out and found they put a damaged cabinet in and my bathroom cabinet had a large screw in it and when you open the cabinet door it looked like it was going to fall off. When you're looking to purchase a new home look in places they wouldn't expect you to look to make sure there isn't any shady work. We've been in our home 3 months now and we're not satisfied. ... Shane was Friendly, Patient. Professional. His handling of the buying process from start to finish was part of my decision making in purchasing the house at the time. He responds promptly and always helpful even when not in office

The house had to many thing there not llook good like the bathrooms sinks has same ckacks as well the floors AND the walls paint looks so cheap AND kitchen cabinets with a few cracks AND when you make the claim the person on charge seems like he doesn't looks profesional AND his not help to much

The purchasing experience with our sales rep. Jessica was great, she went over and above to get answers to questions, etc... Getting our closing documents ahead of time was a disaster, not very prepared. The punch list for the home is still not complete after 3 months. The builders field rep from the Khov tells you what he thinks you want to hear with no follow up. Never writes anything down so I have to send numerous emails, text messages, photos reminding him of the outstanding items, in which very few items have been completed. I'm just very disappointed and frustrated that once the house was purchased it's a continual fight to get warranty items taken care of for the home we purchased. ... More

Neighborhood is not properly represented when buying the home. The lakes are dry and there is no fountains.. was told that our lot was capable of having a swimming pool. This is not true .. it clearly states on the septic survey in bright red no pool. Even the septic people state they have made you aware of this but the sales person assured us that our lot was cleared for a pool. How can you build homes on a half acre lot .. that can’t have a pool!! No a very good marketing plan.houses look nice but are lacking in quality in craftsmanship and materials used.. Ever since I have moved into my new build there have been nothing but issues. They use cheap materials and you’re left dealing with it. Our driveway is falling apart and it’s only 7 months old. Cracks and chipped. The flooring is garbage. They lied and said it’s scratch free and it’s not! The walls are wavy. When we first got our keys they weren’t even finished with our house so we had to have strangers coming in and out of our house to finish stuff for weeks!!!! Horrible experience! Don’t bother!

Homes are built poor quality and im still having issues getting things fixed after 4 months of living in our brand new home other problems are also coming up but im choosing to fix them myself since its easier then waiting weeks for them to fix things

Less than 3 months moving into my new house, we have found a few issues. The newest one is a big crack on the ceiling above my living room. Another one is screw coming loose from a corner of my living room, and cabinets didn’t get glued in the first place.

The best part was working with our loan officer. THATS IT! Quality is horrible! On our final walk in someone smart turn on AC on 100!!! F I think they thought paint, last touch ups will dry faster but it had opposite effect….. Interior doors were SO horrible, corners smashed, paint peeling off, if the piece fell of from the door they just sand it and painted on top, what apparently doesn’t make it look better. CHEAP OT AS MUCH AS THEY CAN. There is a big list but they always will find an answer like “that’s totally fine, it should be like that” (when raining and water just leaking through windows, not all of them!!!so that’s normal for them ) Would I recommend the builder for someone NO. These houses and the craftsmanship are mediocre at best. They are thrown up and sloppy. I’m sure after moving in and how cheap the materials are and thrown together that it is like fast food processing at $400k plus.

Disappointed in the quality of the materials used.

For the price of the home. We expected the finished job to be of great quality, but it has not been. There have been one issue after another. The site manager Catricia has been great getting some things fixed, but this could have all been avoided if the workers took pride in their work. The loft floor is still a problem. The floor is noisy as if it is not in place. This is not acceptable for this type of house.

K.hov is incredibly responsive about fixing problems, but the problems are legion. Electrical issues lead the way for my house. I'm now on a first-name basis with the electricians. Materials are, overall, inferior, and workmanship is poor. Maybe if they weren't in such a hurry to build, they'd take more time to do it right the first time.

Noticed lots of imperfections. Sub contractors need not rush and project managers need to keep close eye before signing off. We found lots of issue. Very basic but important ones. Would NOT recommend K.Hovnanian homes to anyone. Sorry!!!

I have been unable to get my air conditioning to work properly.been in touch with warranty dept .they have been really helpful .but also unable to get my air conditioning problem resolved.

Quality of this home is not what I expected.I had an irrigation system leak for a month in the yard and driveway that was soaked so bad youcan’t walk on it ,one of the leaks was spraying at the front door.After emailing and calling for a month it was finally resolved .The home have exterior doors not sealing properly causing bugs to enter.Some of the tile are cracked mail pops in the walls garage door binds when opening,Some interior doors not closing properly/a/c system not balanced properly hot upstairs in some of the bedrooms.

My number one problem deals with the construction of my home's swale. In Port Saint Lucie where my home is, the city has water swales in front of most front yards. This swale is supposed to allow water flow from heavy rains. My swale was either not done correctly or the effectiveness of the swale was altered during construction. At any rate, it has lead to a pudding of water around my driveway. Because the water isn't moving, it had turned green from algae. It also invites mosquitos and frogs. The city blames the builder, and Khov construction had not moved to do anything about it. So I have to suffer with this at my NEW home. ... More
