I moved in 3 months ago, my kitchen sink that I picked out is still not in. My drip system is still full of dirt. My counter top was bowed, they replaced my counter top with another one that is also bowed. At this point can I just have granite counters as a "sorry you paid over $430,000 3 months ago and haven't got what you paid for!"

Overall a good home/well built but it’s the small details and warranty work that has been absolutely horrible. I’ve been in my house for almost 6 weeks and yet to enjoy it. The tile grout in majority of the house was installed wrong/has a haze to it and they’ve attempted to correct the issue 3 times. They are on there 4 time coming out and hopefully this works. Just be aware of the small details and make sure everything is done before moving in and closing.

The material used for this home is very cheap. Also, you cannot upgrade anything with this builder. There are so many things that are missing in the home. I would never buy a house from this builder.

we had a few quality issues, before the purchase our inspector found the roof was incorrectly installed on the back of the house, our living rooms windows all had to be corrected as they were cut unevenly, the interior paint used throughout the house is low quality and flaking off in many places and on the back door. our garage door was improperly installed, broke and came off the tracking damaging the door, we are still waiting for the damaged door panels to be replaced.

My certificate of occupancy was not not done on the settlement day. My sales rep Michael never called me back when I told him about the issues. I never heard from when I moved in also.

The home is beautiful and the project manager is wonderful at Gambrill. However, the loan officer was horrible and made the process extremely difficult without purpose.

Starting with the sales experience Sabrina was great. Dustin and Todd were great throughout the walk-through and follow-up. The financing was horrible and I wish we had another options but we needed the builder's incentives for the lower interest rate at the time we purchased. Rob was terrible with communication and made the entire situation very stressful. After we closed we got a letter from another lender with our mortgage statement without anyone telling us our mortgage had been transferred from the builder's financing company to another company. If you choose to buy from K. Hovnanian and use their finance be prepared for great stress and a lack of communication and follow-up. I had to contact my agent multiple time to find out what was even happening. Even the closing agent, Heidi, another K. Hovnanian employee called me to find out about closing because she didn't get the information from the finance team. While we appreciated our home buying journey, additional guidance tailored for first-time buyers could have enhanced our experience. As newcomers to the process, having more proactive clarifications from the company would be beneficial given the multitude of questions that arise. But we had an overall good experience. The team that was over our walk through were great!!

We love our new condo. It is beautiful and comfortable. The people working with us during construction were friendly and helpful. The reason for the lower rating is for two reasons. First, the construction was delayed 10 months later than the timeline we were originally given, which cost us a huge amount to store all of our our household goods and to pay for temporary housing. Second, the floor had damage upon move in, leading me to believe it is a cheaper product.

Brandi was excellent and very attentive to our needs.

It took nearly 8 months to be able to close on the house and while we are happy to be finally moved in the process was very stressful. Our account manager was very disconnected but the loan processors were good and empathetic and got us through the finish line. Once in the house the project manager has been excellent in taking care of small items to ensure things are fixed.

I really appreciated the sales office and the super, Alan. Alan was amazing and Mike and Shane were very attentive. The financial end was unenjoyable at best.

The experience with the challenges in the home building field had this process for a first time homebuyer very confusing and frustrating. The KHov team did ok with communicating the challenges, but could’ve done better.

Good home, well built, only problem we had was in the time it took to build it - three months longer than anticipated

When I signed the contract, I was told it will be six months, but likely it will be done in five months. I wasn’t holding my breath and just wanted it to be done by the contract date. As time went by, I started to get nervous when I didn’t see any progress on the house. Instead of getting updates on when the frame walk, etc was going to be, I had to call and requested for that information. Even when the date was provided and was getting near, I didn’t see how that date was going to be met based on the process made. Again, when I inquired 2 weeks before the frame walk date if it was achievable, I was then told that there is a delay. I was given a new date and when I showed up, it was a partial walk, as all the things there were supposed to be done were not. Again, it got rescheduled by another week+. The new superintendent was switched to a new person that came from Lennar, Tim. He quickly took over the situation and became my point of contact. I was very pleased with the progressed made since his taking over and the communication received thereafter. ... More

only issue i had was with the upgrades and customization... slaes team did not agree for me to juag upgrade the kitchen bit they did for other who got at the same time as me.

My first home buying experience not optimal due to lack of consistency with the Sales department and lack of communication/organization within the builder/closing team. It took 1 hour 1/2 to complete my paperwork but the closing lasted 6 hours which was completely unacceptable. We would call the department several times for updates and no one knew anything about my file meaning it had not even been reviewed. The closing team were understanding and thorough- that disorganization was out of their control unfortunately. I worked with New American Funding and my Senior Loan Processor (and his processing team) were trustworthy and overall served a smooth experience. Thanks to the lender, the builder's project specialist, and closing team, my experience was not completely negative however the builder's sales team need to be more knowledgeable and involved with their buyers. ... The sales consultant was amazing . A far as the it took longer to close and it really created issues.

The sales people were great and the 2nd home care rep was great. My house took 3 months longer to complete than I had planned on. Some of the repairs needed were scheduled but no shows. The houses really need 2 coats of paint instead of one as it looked blotches until I had them out. The stucco should be mid grade stucco as mine was too thin in a large area and you could easily poke a finger through it. They did however get the contractor out and they did an excellent repair job and put wood behind the stucco so it could not be pushed in easily. They ran out of the flooring I was supposed to get and did not tell me however, what they put in the house was even nicer than I originally selected. The bathroom counter tops I ordered they ran out of but told me and I selected a much nicer alternative I am very pleased with. The customer care person is awesome! He replaced someone who left right before I moved in and has the public relations and professionalism that customers can count on. He and the sales team are exceptional. ... More

I love the house, but the fact that it doesn’t come with grass in the backyard it’s a little of a downside, other than that and the closing time waiting period was good.

Follow up is key, notifying home buyer, when its time to pick options offered in homes. Missed out on options builder provided, Not designed center. providing materials in a timely manner that came with home. Still waiting on garage doors offered with home. No follow up from builder, when we will receive the doors offered with our plan. Communication is key, with the builder and home buyer. Sales person was great, very friendly, personable. Had some issues after move-in with air condition unit, missing parts, water leak that cause damage to ceiling upstairs bedroom. Builder warranty responded quickly when called to fix the issues. ... Overall, I am happy with my purchase. There were a few bumps and hick-ups when using my own mortgage lender as opposed to the one provided. Aside from that, I’m happy here. Thank you.

Overall a good experience. There were some minor hiccups and misleading details, but not that big of a deal in the end. I feel I got a great home for a great price.
