The design process would be enhanced if interior wall color was a choice. The drywall finish, ie, smooth, is poor. They also have problems around cutouts in drywall. Many pointed out issues have NEVER been fixed. The lots contours leave a lot to be desired which is not helped by poor sod installation. Many issues have been fixed but many remain in need of resolution. The roads have drainage issues because many drains are non-functional.

Jeff was great in helping us out and go the extra mile but the rest of it was a right . We were told one thing but ten it was something else . . But the whole thing was very good

The home is livable, though there are many things that I will address moving forward as far as finishing trim, crooked sliding glass door, concrete work, and flooring unevenness. When paying top dollar for a home, it is expected that there is attention paid to detail by the builder. When we have reported issues, we have had a great experience with the maintenance folks.

Upgrades are not worth the money. You can get more quality work done by other contractors. Khov could have used more quality paint job, finishing garage and better bathroom fixtures

KHov has a good model selection to choose from. Through out the process the communication was not that great related to delay in closing date. Once we moved into the house, issues resolution seems to take for ever. We’re still waiting for fixes that were reported 3 months ago! Paint job was average and floor needed to be cleaned several times!

Good responsiveness to taking care of things once we moved in but excessive delay in completing condo (10 months) and lack of information along the way created an overall poor experience.

Condo building is not very senior citizen friendly - garages too narrow, doors to trash & storage rooms & garages are not handicap accessible. Even if you are not handicapped, the narrow garages making getting out of a medium-sized SUV very difficult and doors in common areas are heavy to open, and if you have something in your hands, forget it. Three of my neighbors have had issues in first 90 days with their units as have we. Issues were fixed, but not a pleasant experience.

The quality of the material very cheap. sales person and builder manager are very nice and friendly.

Not satisfied with the overall experience. There was gas leakage and water leakage initially when they handed over the house. There are zero fans inside the house. Bathroom tiles are of not good quality.

We live in a new development and we currently have a home being built on either side of our brand new house. The people working on the houses have zero concern for the family living in the house next to where they are working, constantly picking up trash around our yard front and back, we have had our cable line destroyed, large chunks cut out of our front yard and a huge area of our side yard has been absolutely destroyed due to the builders not laying the gas line correctly and having to have it all dug up and replaced. When we have reported what is happening nothing is ever done about it.

Quality of materials is not good, distance between plinth and Flor laminate so huge.

Well I signed my contract on October 11, 2021 and did not close until April 21, 2023. So can I say it was a long process but eventually it happened. The financial portion was good plus I was a Mortgage Broker so I knew the documents needed. I’m very satisfied with the overall house and location. I know a lot had to do with the county of Dallas backloads but I had to pay a lot of money living month to month because the house was supposed to be completed on certain dates and that did not happen. But I appreciate all the phone calls and reassurance that it will happen, the completion.

Our salesmen Beau was dishonest and told us multiple inaccuracies about of Spec home. Promised a closing date that could not be met and multiple changes to our plans with zero communication. Our builder Jake was the main reason we decided to finalize our purchase. He was upfront with us on the actual timeline for completion. He communicated with us daily when issues arose and ensured we were comfortable with the home. Couldn’t be happier with Jake and Aaron finishing our home.

The overall experience of buying our house was awesome . The staff was very professional and personable . They definitely listened to what our needs were.

Overall good experience but there are some things which needs to be transparent.

Not allowed to upgrade, some basics missing such as concealed garbage containers in kitchen, vanity in Masters is poorly designed, line of sight out windows is poor due to design.

Khovnanian builds a home that is very good with regard to the basics, space, floor plan options, however need to be more flexible with working with buyers on upgrades, especially when the buyer is willing to pay for them.

The quality of the home is just ok. Far away, it looks great, but there are definitely flaws. Tiles aren't even, our primary shower is very crooked and uneven, the tile flooring through out the house is uneven. You don't really notice it until you try to put something like a table on it and it wobbles because one part of the floor is higher. On the outside, there are wires and cables that stick out that we have to watch when we mow. The vent flap over the oven that leads to outside flaps continuously in the wind and it's very loud in the house and very annoying. Our dryer vent clogged up within the first few weeks of moving in and caused condensation to leak out of our dryer. Some of the corners in the house look like it was painted in a different paint color. The spout on the primary bath tub is crooked, points to the side instead of right in the center of the tub. A few design issues. Primary bathroom has only 2 5 in drawers so there is no storage in that bathroom. Kitchen cabinets open and hit the microwave causing wear and tear where it hits. Hall bath room is very small, door can barely close because of the toilet. Some of the patchwork on doors is very rough and scratchy. I would rather have gotten new doors since they were damaged while work was being done in the house. The yard is very uneven and the fence has gaps at the bottom that we will need to fill or cover before getting a dog. As far as buying again, I would but I would definitely look way closer. During the walk through, we were not able to blue tape anything ourselves. We had to tell the manager where to tape and it was just very awkward telling a grown man to crawl on the floor and tape tiles that were uneven. It would have been nice to tape it ourselves and take our time to really look at the house. There were also some upgrades that we wish would have had a better explanation. We wasted some money on upgrades that were not needed if the design center clerk would have understood what we wanted and knew how to explain them. ... More

We have been in our new home since November 5th 2022 and still have issues to be resolved and continue to find concerns with the type of work performed during the build.

Home buying experience was great, however quality of some of the material used especially cabinets etc is below average quality. The team was pretty good in responding to questions and is helping fix and resolve issues under the warranty

The layout and features are decent for the money. You get a radiant barrier in the attic, nice solid doors, and all the drywall corners are nice and rounded. Workmanship and responsiveness to issues leaves a lot to be desired though. For example different brands and colors of switches were used throughout the house. The tile is uneven with paint peeling off the edges. There are doors that have too wide of a gap at the bottom and don't latch. Outdoor grass is lumpy. It's a hassle to get them out to fix these sorts of things too and expect it to take weeks if not months.

I wish we had built our own home with good contractor.
