I gave 3 stars for their team set up for different needs. There are some good intentions, but lacking quality controls, perhaps, it came from the top. I was impressed at the beginning for weekly conference calls due to COVID, for updates in different phases of construction. There are FOUR poor qualities that I never ever experienced with new construction, but KHovanian, 1. Painting, one coat and sloppy workmanship, exteriors stucco paint was done like a kindergarten coloring, when the painter come touch up, they just put a glob of paint that made it worst. 2. Stucco has spider web cracked all around, i was told construction and service crew that’s NORMAL. 3. Pavers for driveway and no step were not in compliance for safety, again quick sloppy work, tripping hazard. Why no body supervised the quality 4. The easy fix with front landscape but they made into an undesirable offering, just because HOA would take care of it, whatever available on the landscaper truck being flopped down like a muffin tray. No comment sense in that matter. Everything was rushed to close and two major items like garage door was damaged and adjustment was off, made a lot of noise. Pavers driveway and safety no step were all promised by construction supervisor that would have it fixed ASAP, cabinet doors were also damaged. Closed on 7/23/21, today is 9/13/21 nothing was done. Construction crew primary focus to get other houses completed, could careless for my house that already closed, because they already met quota and company already got the money. After the closing, there are several other minor things on punch list, the service team picked up in addition the driveway and garage door. The team was promptly lining up all vendors to take care of things. Except stuff was promised by Construction crew. I felt so uncomfortable dealing with the first guy from service team. I expressed my concern about the poor quality that i mentioned at the beginning, paint, stucco, pavers, landscape, etc. I felt that person was not listening, he was busy talking at me, and told me that kind quality is NORMAL and “that’s why you paid this price” 3/4 million dollar home with poor quality with KHovnian is normal!!! The construction crew also said this poor quality is also NORMAL. One coat of paint, after one or two years it will need to repaint, HOA will increase and we the homeowner will have to pay for it . It’s a perfect scheme from the top. Just because I am a women/non American, I had purchased new construction homes more than average people in the last 16 years in Arizona. The noise from A/C inside the wall in master bedroom is LOUD , again I was told that’s NORMAL. When A/C mechanic came, he said it’s not normal. There’re remedies to fix that, however, builder has to approve it, one month later no one approve it. Just to sum it up, I am very disappointed !!! ... More

Got my home and couple things were not right. Reported them to the representative and have not heard anything back it’s been more then a month that things are reported but no one got back with an answer.

From start to finish I had poor if not no communication with the sales rep and loan officer. The builder was great he kept me in the loop of everything that’s was being done. The house is beautiful but you can tell they used cheap over priced things in the house.

Overall a very nice home. But the contractors that were used were complete trash. There are several issues with the home still that I’ve asked to be fixed even before closing that still have yet to be fixed. Brick issues, drywall issues, paint. The urgency to get these issues fixed is close to none. Am I overall happy with the home? Yes. Would I buy from Khov again? I don’t think so.

Get an inspection from an unbiased 3rd party and don't sign a single paper to close until all items are cleared and re inspected.

There have been constant delay and problematic communications

We have a lot of things that carried over into warranty. We have not heard anything about them. Have not seen a ticket in the portal, not any follow up. Was told our contact was no longer with the company 2 weeks after moving in. Overall quality of work can tell there is lack to attention to detail.

Construction and sales staff had out lot off extra mile efforts to make the house complete on time. But there are very poor quality materials used across and are definitely can be improved. Turnaround to issues is very slow, it’s been quite sometime the issues raised to warranty team, and no one take responsibility to acknowledge for the issues to fix. I think there is more room to improve and would help for next constitution sites

The Salesperson was incredibly responsive, she did what she said she'd do and followed up even when the construction crew did not.

I previously owned a KHov home in NJ. I owned that house for 26 years and would take it back in a heartbeat. I have been extremely disappointed in the quality of my current KHov home in Delaware. I’m not sure if it is the lack of codes or just the enforcement in Delaware. I don’t know how this house ever passed inspection. The quality of the home I currently reside in is way below the standard KHov homes I am familiar with in NJ. Also they have expanded beyond their capability to provide quality service to their current customers let alone any future customers. They lack enough personnel to handle all of the issues. But on a positive note, I was very pleased with the closing team from the closing coordinator to the mortgage division, very professional and responsive to my needs. ... More

Only good thing is the sales person Vicky is helpful, responsive and “New” construction manager Greg who made it better. It was a tough journey but by gods grace there are changes in the team and we finally moved in after a long long delay and mistakes in construction. If it wasn’t for new team I would have given a single star

The buying process was very easy. Sales does a good job at handling mostly everything for you to close. The materials and quality in our home were dissapointing. Rusted applicances and fixtures. Paint specks all over the tiled floor, crooked trim and other issues we didn’t expect to find. Check all workmanship in detail before purchasing!

I was happy they were able to stick with the timeline however it was just an average experience. The foreman for KH was good but the paint and clean up was subpar.

Overall, our experience was okay. We love our neighborhood, and are happy with our house. We found that we did not receive much information from K Hovnanian in the time period after signing our purchase contract and closing, unfortunately. We didn’t receive any information other than a simple marketing piece that showed our chosen floorplan and elevations until after our first pre-closing walkthrough with the builder representative. After it became very apparent that we did not have all information, we were finally given a binder with information - a binder that detailed building timelines, walkthrough processes, sample warranty info, etc. During our walkthroughs, we were made to feel as though we could not point out any cosmetic issues that needed to be fixed. And now, after closing, we have had minimal luck in getting the builders warranty to cover things that should be covered. We love our home, but have been disappointed in the workmanship and KHov’s reluctance to do the right thing by their customers. ... More

I absolutely love the design of the house, however, the job was done sloppy.

When my wife and I had the final walk through we enjoyed seeing our new home after being in it I have noticed corners that were cut and other issues. Examples chips in the flooring, wavy walls and ceilings, bowed doors and a raised floor drain. I put a call in one day about the furnace exhaust and I had to make an issue with the builder in order to get it corrected. I guess I will keep on KHOV and hopefully things will work out.

The sales person we worked with was great. Had she managed the whole customer experience it would have been a much more enjoyable purchase and our issues would have been resolved. Our design consultant didn't give us accurate information and met us at a different location instead of in the community where we purchased. This led to a lot of confusion when the final product was delivered since items we discussed were missing and we were told that was never part of the plan since the model was built with different options that are not available for the home. As for responsiveness to issues we have lived in the home for over a month now and we are still waiting for the builder to finish the home. All the bath fixtures are still missing and they can't seem to find the correct ones to finish the install. Other items we have brought to their attention they looked at and said they would get back to us but have never bothered to get us an answer. ... More

The floor plans are nice but our development didn't come with gutters or exterior house lights. Our street is very dark at night and lot of time and money will have to be put into our home after closing.

First I want to say, I love my new home. I feel so blessed and grateful for what we have.. I will try to make a long story short..The story i tell everyone is.. At first new construction wasn't an option of ours.. But when we seen Lantana community and the price was perfect!! The Space we needed and in our budget perfect! finally after couple years of looking, and getting out bided ect.. we are ready, we go in and tell the sales manager we want to move forward and we picked the lot ect.. we tell her next week I can go put the deposit down.. She tell us " She won't be in,and to come the following weekend "!!.. So that time comes around, she tells my realtor that the price when up 15k!! And that since I didn't have a deposit in a day before, I was not locked into the price that was 24 hrs before 15k higher!!.. It CRUSHED ME, my stomach turned, I was mad, disappointed, and was ready to walk out!.. Mind you I was ready to put the deposit down 7 days before, and I was told to come a week later!.. After look at my wife and kids, I couldn't back out and have their Happiness taken away too.. So if your a reviewer like me make sure to put the deposit down asap!.. And my Garage does not have a door to the outside!! Right, but the MODEL HOME DOES!!!!SMH.. ... More

Overall it was ok, a few things were a bit disappointing. For instance the shower glass install was shotty. Didn't complain since I will behaving the bathroom remodeled. The people that work for the company are the high point of the experience. John and April.

I have some bad experience like; 1. Squeak sound in the master bedroom floor. I brought the builders attention to this, i was told they cannot fix it at this time. This was quite upsetting.
