Will, Robbie and Crystal were awesome throughout, but very sloppy work. Issues after close still have not been addressed a month after closing.

House is not complete interior and exterior force me to close house very bad experience still not fixed I even move in already

The home buying process was smooth. It wasn’t until we gave the down payment when we realized we were no longer important. - When we moved in, the house was dirty. Twice I pulled out a piece of wire from my 1 year old daughter’s mouth while crawling upstairs where there is carpet. - It’s been about a month and we’re still trying to get the paint stains off the upgraded flooring we chose. - The cabinet work was sub par. The handles weren’t installed level or plumb and is noticeable. The trim on the cabinets wasn’t nailed down fully and there are gaps. - Two windows were installed scratched and we were told during our walk through they would be replaced and it still hasn’t happened. One of the window screens is missing and have not gotten it yet. - The upgraded oven we chose was damaged on install and I keep getting requests for pictures but nothing has been done. - The grading in the backyard was probably completely missed. There are 4 small valleys where water collects and will sit for days after it rains. Apparently when they install the concrete pads we ordered in the back yard, they covered up a drain. - When we submitted the issues for warranty repairs, the process has been slow and disorganized. It seems they are overworked and it clear why. Overall, not happy with our home and have even considered selling and going with a builder with better quality but having to go through the moving ordeal again is probably what’s stopping us. ... Khov does not hold their contractors accountable particularly their HVAC system. In Arizona, a good HVAC system is vital. Three months in and no solution in sight.

Horrible builders and customers service poor. House cheaply built. HOA monstrosity.

So its now been 35 days since our closing and we have numerous aka punch list items that have not been addressed that we all supposed to be completed in 21 days. But our only communication is done when we reach out to them. The 2nd level of our home is so warped & un-level that the company we hired to install our engineered wood floor has told us its impossible to get the new floors even with out bumps due to the ply wood that is warped from rain & being installed to tightly. So after spending 458k & putting down $300k with the expectation of demoing in another $50k to get the home how we want it, it's now looking like we are fixing the builders issue to correct the home. Also we have found soda bottles with soda in them behind our bathroom walls & water bottles filled with chewing tobacco behind the walls. Yes we are redoing the bathroom tiles ourselves since all the high gloss tiles were installed with scratches all over them..... Total nightmare! ... More

The buying experience was bad as we were hurried to sign the contract and there were lot of things we got misled by the sales team. The contract said serpent blue color in wordings but the color pallet was different. management said it's mistyped. Sales agent mentioned that we will get wifi/ connected switches and later found out it wasn't installed and they said they found out later that it's an option and not standard. We compromised on a lot of things but since we signed the contract we didn't want to lose our deposit. The quality of home is decent not amazing like other good quality builders ... More

My house buying experience has been truly an unforgettable one. When I began this process, things were pretty much straight forward, seemingly less. Working with Sabrina was a delight, I went the design center, very excited, they were extremely helpful. I decided to use KHOV financing... BIG mistake... From the very first time I spoke with my loan officer Diandra things were chaotic. She called to inform me that she was unable to pull "One" of my credit reports, which I thought was odd since she was able to obtain the other two! She proceeded to confirm my SSN, stating "ins you social 000-00-XXXX? Completely baffled, I asked her to repeat the social, which she did.... Please advise who has an SSN the is 000-00-XXX??? In a different conversation we were discussing my interest rate, estimated closing cost. I asked if my interest could be locked in at the current rate, she answered YES without hesitation, however on the document I was asked to sign, the locked rate was not reflected, when I questioned this, she replies, my apologies, go ahead and sign it and I will correct it before. I believed her. As time went on and interest rate sore, I felt secure, because my trusted loan officer assured me that my interest rate was lock, therefore I had no concerns. In Mid April approximately 50 days to closing, I received a call from Diandra advising me that that I no longer qualify for my home loan because my DTI was too high... With no explanation what this means or even what the next step would be, she asked if I had received a raise, I advise no, she said "ok, let me see what I can do. I'll call you back". She never called back. I was left all evening and night with this, not knowing what is going on thinking that I don't have anywhere for my family to go. After waiting for Diandra to call me back, which she did not.. The process continues to get worse, so bad that I refused to work with her, which required the director of the department Karl to take over. When the loan processor Nicole took over, things got a little better, however the morning BEFORE I was due to close, I received an email advising they have not received my employment verification requesting my assistance to obtain it. As the day went on, although I advise Nicole I will work on it from my end, what was originally request, became a demand, then a threat, stating I cannot get my HR department to send information I will not be able to close on my home the next morning. Fortunately, I was able to obtain the required information. Literally up the LAST moment I had issues with the finance department. I would NEVER advise anyone to use KHOVANIAN financing... NEVER!! EVER!! It is very very sad that the terrible experience I had with the finance department has tainted what could have been a special home buying experience for me. I can only hope there have been significant changes in that department. I would like to acknowledge Sabrina, Josh, Angel. Heidi and Jon with Eastern Title. Love the house, but disappointed with the design where the wall is behind the basement entry door. I cannot fit or take big furniture items down the stairs because the wall behind the basement entry does not allow maneuvering. If I had known I could not fit big furniture ( couch) down the basement. I would have added the walkout to the back yard as another option. This is critical to mention to new buyers!

I had issue with Mailbox keys and kHOV has been pointing fingers on others like USPS and they point to HOA & in turn HOA says it's builder who made the mistake. I as home owner & tenant are going in circles from almost 2 weeks and so far we don't even know who owns this problem but the Owner & Tenant is suffering. This is not acceptable, period.

Whatever you do, do not give anyone a ten. They say all the right things so they can get a 10. Now, I see why people give these builders a 7 or 8 because after you're done with them, they no longer assist you with anything. My builder told me that he would always be in the community and that anything I needed, he was just a phone call away. I have scratches on my new stove, and I haven't heard from him or GE Appliances. I can't wait to move out of this community; I made the biggest mistake of my life by moving into it.

THE SOD I MY BACK YARD SEEMS T BE DEFECTIVE. THERE ARE SMALL PATCHES OF GREEN GRASS & THE REST SEEMS DEAD.THE ARE TRYING TO SAY IT IS A WATERING PRPBLEM YET THE FRONT YARD IS FINE BRCAUSE OF MY CONSIENCIOUS WATERING. IF YPU LOOK AT THE BACK YARD IT CERTAINLY LOOKS AS IF DEFECTIVE SOD WAS PUT DOWN.

Grading around home is deficient and water accumulation especially on right side, one kitchen cabinet different from others and bad irrigation system is corroded and not functioning

Nothing has been completed in the Community as promised, amenities, pool, pickleball, etc.

Nightmare dealing with financial / lender. Overall the priority is NOT the buyer or their needs, it’s about money and nothing else. Not accommodating in any way. Will NEVER recommend or buy from this development again. On a positive note..Guy and Nick where great.

We enjoy our home but the process of closing was pretty bad honestly. We understood there would be hiccups along the way for a new build but there were a lot of preventable mistakes. There was especially poor communication between different members of the team to us. For example, our close date got changed but didn't get updated officially so closing had to be delayed. And between the builder, scheduling office, title company and mortgage company everyone kept pointing a finger of whose fault it was. I would rather have had KHOV take initiative more during the process and help solve problems rather than point fingers. I will say, the bright spot during the process was Shawn who actually communicated with me well and problem solved efficiently. Craftmanship has been average at best. They do try to fix things though with their 1 year warranty ... More

Our salesperson Gabbi was wonderful and responsive to our needs. Our GC was not as responsive and had excuse after excuse for the delays. Our friends went with a different builder and they broke ground in April and moved in a week before we did, we broke ground in February and closed on September 24 but purchased in November of 2020. We chose to have you paint our interior but the paint is very prone to smudges and stains, maybe give out other paint options.

I love the house itself. But very poor responsiveness from builder, sales and title company

The entire process from booking to closing house was tiresome. I booked my home in November and the delivery date was in March. But I got the house in August. Each time I talk to the builder the house was getting delayed by a month. I understand the delay was because of delay in raw material, labour, city and COVID but as a customer it felt frustrating. The quality of the house is pretty good. There were minor things which builder took care immediately. The builder team were pretty helpful and informative. They delivered what was told. I had some minor issues when I went ahead with my own lender rather than builders lender but it was resolved in timely manner. I would recommend this builder to any of my friends ... More

Shouldn’t have bought a home during Covid. Structurally the house is great. The fit and finish is the worst I have ever seen for $400,000 house

We have never had experienced anything like that before from people who are supposed to be professionals and to whom we were paying money. Not only KHov team caused a 2-week delay in closing and tried to make us pay the delay penalty they put in the contract, but then blamed it on our lender and the title company. We had to move to a storage space for a week. On top of that once all the paperwork was finally ready, they wouldn't accommodate us with the date of signing, so we had to pay for a hotel to make it to the early morning signing. To this day we haven't heard a word of apology. We only hope that KHov builder's have better standards than their selling teams... ... More

We purchased a pre-built home through K. Hov. as our first home purchase. Everyone says buying is stressful and K. Hov. didn't make that easier. The house and builder were great, but the purchasing process was atrocious. We were promised a certain price no matter what lender we choose. After we put our earnest money in, we choose another private lender for better rates. When K. Hov. learned this, they inflated the purchase price and told us we could only receive the discounted price if we financed through them. In addition, our primary contact, Christi, was the most rude and degrading person I've worked with in a long time (I'm a teacher, so that's saying something). Other than these, we love our house and the build quality is great! If you're thinking of going with K. Hov., please just be wary that you need to get everything in writing. ... More

I worked with Shane. He was untrustworthy and ruined the entire experience for me. He/you were inflexible with deadlines and dates. I was not local, and worked during the day. I was lead to believe if I didn't comply with his schedule, I would push my closing back and potentially lose out on the deal. I will not be recommending KHOV for anyone to build. On the positive side - Mark (construction) has been extremely helpful and did his best to help turnaround my experience.

Be cautiously aware that the administration side of this company is very unorganized and lacks proper communication.
