I love this community. Working with Shelby and Jake has been a wonderful experience. Jake is very thorough and professional. Shelby is so kind and resourceful. Working with them has been a pleasant experience! They make a great team.

The home is built to what I would consider to be high standards. Only a couple small issues appeared after closing but the company was quick to handle those issues and followed up frequently. I have to say the only problem I've had is a few too many weeds the new sod, but that is trivial at best.

Our experience is different than most as this is a second home and our primary home is out of state. With that, we found several pieces of the processes were less than satisfactory. For example, the cabinetry in the home is unacceptable. We did not realize this until after closing. Because the poor quality of the cabinets, we are now remodeling the entire kitchen. We took every upgrade possible with the home, I am not sure why were not told the widest kitchen drawer would be 12". Perhaps if I had asked more questions during the design phase, this would have been uncovered. I also asked the building supervisor to leave the towel rods and not install, as I had ideas of where I wanted them placed and did not want to repair sheet rock and paint. After viewing the home, none of the rods were left. I've called and he says he will re-order and bring by .... waiting. In addition, we closed 6 weeks ago and there are several punch list items that have not been corrected by the team. Again, all of this is extended due to second home and we are only able to visit 1-2 x a month on the weekends. I had a great team to work with that made the homebuying process easy.

The key to Westwood is Brandi in sales. The weak point in Westwood is Brent in the building process. Brandi sets just a great platform for Khov and tries to maintain the balance and clean up brent’s messes. He needs to be retrained, take a time management class or be able to do what he says he will, when he says, which is few and far in between. Nice guy, but not trustworthy and gives homeowners an uneasy feeling when making the biggest purchase of their life. Please fix the issue and try to resolve at the lowest level. Brandi works too hard in Westwood to be destroyed by Brent’s actions.

I had call in to have painters come back a few times to keep touching up and to paint where blue tape was. It was so bad that after 2-3 times I still have blue tape. I asked Anthony for paint so I could do it myself. The house was not done with all the issues the day I got my keys. I still have an issue with the driveway that is not corrected yet. I closed almost 2 months ago. I have a light switch to the kitchen that is not working. Sabrina and Anthony were great but I can’t really say anything else was great. Lights on outside garage should be standard.

My family loves our new home in a great community

Our salesperson Laura, was very good in giving an overview of the community and showing us lots that corresponded to our needs. She was always just a call away. Very responsive. Will, our construction manager, is very friendly and wants to make sure we are happy. We received a call weekly to keep us informed of the progress as our home was built If there was a need of a repair, he was on it. The mortgage process was easy and very organized

More concerned with closing then getting it right

We recently bought our home in K HOV and I am writing this review a little after we did our closing. The experience so far has been little above good. There are a bunch of customization & selection that were allowed to be done but most of them comes as a package. The staff seems to be very experienced and the does a nice job almost every time. More often than not there are little to no follow ups. Overall if I see I would recommend KHOV

Shane, in sales, was excellent, He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and available for any of our questions or concerns. Very positive experience. Steve started with the construction and then Ben took over to the finish. Ben was awesome to work with. He listened to our questions and concerns and we knew they would be taken care of. Being that we were out of state we had full confidence in Ben handling our concerns. We couldn’t have been happier working with Shane and Ben in building our new home.

My new home through K Hovnanian is beautiful! Very large open floor plan with high ceilings throughout the home! The entire process from start to end went smoothly, with the help of every individual included from the different departments! Tamara my sales associate went above and beyond throughout the process to ensure the process was as smooth sailing as possible! Everyone is true to their word and things done in a timely manner! Thank you everyone from K Hovnanian!

It’s hard to give a review when there are still pending issues that we’re going back on forth on, hence the reason why I held off on doing this survey.. so this is the best I can give at this time

I moved into my new home 4 weeks ago and so far I’m very pleased. I was told to make a list of any issues that need attention. Currently my list is blank. No issues. So the rating above on “responsiveness to issues” has 4 stars because I’m assuming this company would address any issues quickly.

Myself and my wife are extremely satisfied with KHovanian’s team in making our dream house a reality. We have shared our positive experience with our Freinds and family motivating them to choose KHovanian for their home needs.

My husband and I are newly married at 46 and 48yrs old moving into our 1st home as a married couple but second home purchase. Having prior experience with home buying I can appreciate the quality of service provided by Khov. From the realtor to the contractor we were treated with respect and even had fun!

Devin in the sales department was amazing. He went above and beyond to answer questions and assist in every way possible. He always made me valued as a customer. I was reluctant to buy another KHov product due to the awful experience with my first home in Plantation Lakes. Even after 4 years in that home, I never had a 1 year walk thru. This townhouse was purchased because it is what I could afford as a single mother. KHov has the potential to be a great company, but they cut corners when hiring skilled craftsman. I have crooked walls because of drywall finishing being done sloppily. I have nail pops in a row all the way down almost every wall. Overall great experience. For how fast the process went, it was extremely smooth. Brian was great to work with and easy to connect with. The joke is beautiful. I found a couple items to either be fixed or replaced during the final inspection and it was all done and updated the next day. Thank you for a great experience.

It’s been good knowing the people that works in your office, helpful and welcoming, supportive in any way they can.

Honestly totally disappointed for a Company that is so called Craftsmanship builders not true I would not recommend KH as for me well to late So do Ur homework research and if u do decide check the insulation in attic

Although I have a few issues with the builder itself, I gave 5 stars because I did not want to penalize the construction manager for issues that were out of his control. First, when we purchased the house in May we were quoted a delivery date of October. Settlement was delayed several times and we did not settle until the end of January. It was not due to uncontrollable circumstances like permitting or weather delays, but because of K. Hovnanian's internal systems and sales protocols. Moreover, although I heard several excuses, not once did I hear an apology. Secondly, K. Hovnanian requires the buyer to use their lender in order to receive the incentives. Naturally, K. Hovnanian's lender is not motivated to provide the best rates like other lenders who must compete to win a customer's business. Although not illegal, it is an unethical practice and should be stopped immediately. If I may offer some additional constructive criticism for the builder.. 1) I understand that K. Hovnanian is a production builder, but too often I felt as if the builder prioritizes efficiency and the bottom line over customer satisfaction. For example, when selecting cabinet hardware, the Design Studio does not allow you to mix knobs and pulls. You may only choose one style throughout. The same goes for plumbing and light fixtures in the bathrooms. 2) The Design Studio is terribly outdated. It looks like it was built in the 90's and has never been updated. Pia is amazing but she can only work with what she has. 3) Drywall and paint needed a lot of work. Perhaps consider hiring another contractor. 4) Interior walls are still being painted an outdated beige color. Why not update to a modern color? 5) Communication between departments seems to be lacking. For example, my wife submitted a name change endorsement after we were married but that information never made it's way to the mortgage department. Although there are areas for improvement, overall we are satisfied with the home. The location, layout and value of the home is what drove us to buy with K. Hovnanian and we don't regret the purchase at all. Special shout out to the construction manager, James. He was super helpful and we appreciate his attention to detail. ... More
