We moved across the country with two kids, two cats and a dog. On top of that, we were moving over the Christmas holiday, so it was a challenging time to be trying to get things done. Our biggest concern was having a home to move into immediately. We bought a brand new home that was move in ready we had found online. We had owned a KHov home previously, so we knew we were in good hands, but it was a scary time for us. Sue from KHov immediately felt like a family friend that we had known forever. She was ALWAYS in contact with us, helped us through every step and ensured we would have keys they minute we arrived in Oswego. After a three-day drive, being handed our keys truly allowed me to take my first big breath of relief. We love our home and are so happy! It’s hard to articulate how critical our new home was for us in this move. I can say Sue, and the whole crew at KHov are truly wonderful, caring people who also moved mountains to ensure we had all we needed. Was a pleasure working with K. Hovnanian on buying our new home. We never dreamed of owning a brand new home but with KHov, it was easier than we though. we really appreciated the attention to some slight details that the builders gave us after we closed and moved in.

Can do much better in future

The home buying experience was a pleasant one. The sales and construction managers are responsive and work hard to ensure best customer experience.

This is probably not a fair review as I have only lived in this home for one month. I'd like to give another one in one year. As of now I would do it all over again. Besides dealing with Lois the office manager or design center.

My family was disappointed in the overall home buying experience with K. Hovnanian. There was constant miscommunications, lack of details, promises unkept, displeasure with the product from day 1 of the home buying process. If you do purchase a home through K. Hovnanian be sure to ask plenty of questions on the details of everything, don't assume anything, expect delays in the whole process. Bottom line: You are just another customer and they are going to try to spend the least amount of money and least amount of effort to complete your house.

Our experience has been positive. We live in a construction area as new places are prepared for sale, so the noise, mess, and road issues exist temporarily. There is an effort to keep these things minimized. Everyone has been very helpful and informative, especially the builder's supervisors on site. Sometimes issues have lingered longer than we would like (since we like to get things done immediately), but they do get resolved. We are pleased to be here.

Understand the community your buying into, and be prepared to get involved. Join and be an active member in your HOA!

For the most part, all was well until closing. As I was very clear to my salesperson that I would like a clear understanding of the process for closing. I was not clear about the process leading up to a day or two before closing. I was receiving multiple calls by multiple individuals about the closing date however closing dates had been changed by the builder on several occasions. When I needed an extended amount of time I was given no alternative but to pay an additional $3,700.00 upfront for days that I did not use. When I wrote a check, I was asked to give a cashier's check which was not stated in my contract and I had given a check for the earnest money. After closing my salesperson did not conclude our business with as much as a thank you card or a welcome to my new home package. Finally, the person at the closing (title company representative) gave me the Family and Friends Plan certificate with no explanation. The contractor home builder supervisor was extremely helpful. I believe his name was Eli.

Best quality material used and very experienced sales staff

I had my home inspected by a Certified independent inspector and he found no Issues with our new KHov Villa Home. I was happy with the weekly construction status meetings during the construction process.

Took quite awhile to get started, however we only closed 1 month later than originally predicted.

Over all the buying experience was good. I feel like the price should have less by 5-10%

We love the how Ana helped us out lot, and she went detail by detail on the contract and home warranty. She awesome, the houses are beautiful and the area is quite and kid friendly and clean too

There have been a number of issues with the property and trying to get a response from the builders construction manager is nearly impossible.

We had a rough start with the planning of our home. The wrong design was submitted, and we weren’t told about the siding color restrictions. Ultimately everything was corrected and we are very satisfied.

It was our first time building and we were pleasantly surprised when we kept getting updates and pictures of our home. Any questions we had were answered quickly. The entire staff was very helpful. We were out of state for most of the process but felt included with updates.

Moved into the building late 2019 and it was a pleasure doing business with the K. Hov. They have created a quality product and have great staff and sales guys to help and guide home buyers. They have been prompt to respond to requests and made sure that quality of the homes that they deliver remains immaculate

When going through looking at the framing, noticed a lot of the studs were spliced together or has a secondary board braced next to it. Lots of bad cuts where joints had open gaps. Boards were splintered or cracked and were used with support instead of being replaced. Not the quality we were expecting.

I recently purchased a home at The Preserve at Meadow Lakes. I had the pleasure of working with Monica B. at the sales office and Melissa, the warranty specialist. They were both lovely to work with and made the buying experience seamless. Both are extremely professional, knowledgeable and respond to any and all questions. I would highly recommend the sales team here when looking for a new home. I wake up happy everyday because I love my new house!!!!!
