I will not buy again K.Hovnanian because Quality is really Bad.A lot of issues need to be fix.Construction worker and inspection are not professional.They don’t know how to do they jobs.We are not happy.If we know the kind of issues we wouldn’t buy a home from K.Hovnanian.We should buy other Builder.We spend so much money for our home but quality we got very very bad.I will not recommend all my family’s,coworkers and all my friends.All outside Electronically outlets no power until now.I told construction manager and supervisor but still not done yet.Home number sign has no light until now.Flooring had gap everywhere upstairs and down stairs.ant and spider coming from flooring gap hole.we are very disappointed.Stairs handle was broken.Screws mark hole every where.Dry wall had damaged and bath tube had damaged in master bathroom and downstairs full bath.We spend so much money for a home but not even worth it.Very careless peoples.We are the most not happy about our home a lot of issues need to be fix it.Support to be no need to be worry about anything.If you guys are expect persons it shouldn’t be like this.Very Very Bad construction K.Hovnanian.Sale agent was super nice and she know what she doing her jobs.She was more then outstanding jobs.Her name is Niki.I will give her 100%.We are very happy with sale agent Niki.We are spending so much money for upgrading but Quality was really bad.Construction peoples are not professional.They are not doing good jobs for most likely every where our home.Other home owner have a lot issues too.Overall we are not happy because of a lot of issues need to be fix.Support to be not to worry about anything.We will not buy again K.Hovnanian in our life time.It is our family’s dream home support to be enjoying and happiness because of construction workers are not very careless and don’t care about home owners.Because of what they did our home quality was very very Bad.That right we can not enjoy our dream family’s home and we are not happy.Never buy again with K.Hovnanian Homes. ... Excuses, excuses, excuses; we admired how Mr. Hovnanian achieved the American dream. We trusted your word. Signed closing documents on October 4, even though work was incomplete trusting what the Hovnanian brand stands for. Today it’s Nov 2, you should see the pictures and read the excuses as to why my home isn’t ready for occupancy.

Very poor sales person and construction manager. They make changes that they want to and does not value the buyer at The Parks at Rosehill.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. As a homeowner and purchase five homes in the past I have need witnessed such unprecedented behavior from an organization. The communication between the sales person to the financial and builder management. This was a cash purchase and it was if I was being penalize for a cash purchase. For additional information I would love to share just how unprofessional this whole ordeal was.

I should never close on my house before they fixed all the problems that we had with the house. My house looks like s. They put dry grass on it and promised me they’ll replaced. I’d closed on my house and more than 30 days ago and I haven’t moved in they just fixed half way. I’ll get a painter my self to fixed probably. Disappointed is my status

I was treated like I was intruder when my house was getting built I was told to leave or he will call the police on me and my wife poor way to treat people and with my repairs not getting done because they saying there is nothing wrong .crack concrete stain and poor repairs on a back patio I pay 14000 dollars to have poor cuality not very happy I will let you know is a good house but the people working on a construction at garden glen are poor mind people that they only looking at production and not quality and customer service to satisfy your buyers or home owners. Overall terrible experience with the builder from start till the end. Poor quality, not worth at all the price of the house. Terrible quality of workmanship. K Hovnanian should be ashamed of their team and the way they deliver the house. We were missing, mirrors, vanities, wrong island color, cracks in the wall, missing bulbs, leak in the garage, 2 different color banisters, dents and chips of paint everywhere on our SETTLEMENT DAY. Absolutely, not acceptable from any builder!!! And the list goes on and on…

We had an extremely negative experience with KH including continual unexplained delays, poor quality of work (as even noted by the construction manager), poor communication or lack there of (including disingenuous representation of stating work was done (or would be) which was not), the inability to speak with a manager when initially requested, the delay of inspection and settlement due to not meeting work deadlines, and the disregard for the overall customer. We would not recommend KH to a future buyer. And still, after a more than a month in the property, with many outstanding issues, including serious ones, there has been no resolution to fix by KH. The only issue that has been fixed is a manufacturer's issue by GE (not KH). In conversations with neighbors, this seems to be the consistent experience. To paint our garage we had to hire a drywall repair person to fix the poor quality of work done by KH just to be able to paint. This development was not managed or constructed with the mission or commitment stated on your website. We would not recommend and in fact, would suggest other customers avoid KH. ... More

Awful workmanship. The walls and windows are crooked and uneven. The cabinets and doors have chipped paint and scuff marks. Leftover grout on anywhere grout was used. Uneven light fixtures. Carpet already threading apart. Hole in my wall barely covered with some bad dry wall job and paint…ready to become a hole again. The list goes on and on…definitely NOT worth the price I paid. Contractors were quick to respond regarding my issues and said it would get taken care of but never heard from them again. Nice staff but that doesn’t do much for my overpriced disaster I now call home.

Super nice upon first meeting. Was told we had 24 hours to decide on lot w/o a deposit. Called 20 mins after visit to set up earnest and was told the lot we chose was “sold”. Sales person Heather G was always “out”, stopped doing the weekly follow up calls as promised, hardly responded to texts. Lied about various parts of building process instead of just saying she didn’t know the answer. We had 4 general contractors during the entire process. Eric T was amazing!. Did all he said he would do and then some. He was responsive and caring! If it weren’t for him we would have walked away from the house completely! The quality of the home for the money paid is crap! The trades don’t pay attention to detail. The “upgrades” aren’t really upgrades and I’m constantly filing warranty claims, been in the house for a month. I will never buy a K Hovanian home again! ... Buying a home is a big decision, take extra care on your decision when purchasing from Khovanian, What they think is completed vs my completed are vastly different. If I had to do it over, I would not pay for upgrades and I would use that money for contractors to come in and do it correctly. Their construction division and project management team is broken, they do not manage expectations with the customer. When you get your keys do not expect a clean home or detail work to be completed. I’ve lived in my new home for a month and they still need to paint my trim work, paint all the interior doors and get markings off the kitchen counters. I feel the painters were amateur and not professional. I have paint on all the mirrors and the amount of paint on my new floors is ridiculous. If I had to do it again…I don’t think I would!! ... 1 Start is too much. The sales process rushed us through decisions, lied, and then had absolutely no accountability after our decisions were made and they messed up. We made several trips to try to hold the teams hands and help the process go more smoothly. Once our contract was signed, we made sure to monitor the progress and were amazed at how incompetant the GC (John H.) was, and how the labor was unqualified to perform general duties. After being rushed through the closing process, we were asked to hide issues so employees "would not get into trouble" and told they would make sure we ended up with an acceptable product. We were also told that K. Hovnanian only looks to make a profit and really is not the builder to choose if you expect any quality. The focus is on speed and profit, at the buyers expense. Since closing we have encountered: A driveway that has 2 feet of consistant standing water Two roof leaks Damaged drywall due to leaks Not functioning A/C Shower doors and tile installed incorrectly leading to flooding and tile damage No grass planted in major areas of the house (Mud and erosion occuring) Several electrical components not functioning Poorly installed cabinetry (we fixed at our own expense) Doors that don't close Several plumbing leaks Appliance installed incorrectly and not leveled No working hot water ... Terrible experience. Would not recommend.

Inspect homes thoroughly before move in. High chance home contains workmanship issues.

If you use KHov, make sure you buy a home that's already built / that you can see the workmanship. They "churned and burned" our home and didn't even completely finish it before moving on. Such a terrible experience with this builder, I would never use them again in a million years.

Probably the worst thing about our house is the absolute lack of craftsmanship but, when you sub out to the lowest bidder that is certainly what you get. There are way too many things to list on this review. KHOV uses very cheap materials in there homes one of which is MDF in lieu of pine. One of the worst places you can use this product is on window sills where moisture is very likely to be present year round due to condensation. MDF is notorious for drawing in moisture so in my opinion, a poor substitute for pine. Various examples of poor quality stem from open wood joints in trim molding, stair railing, missing quarter molding around the base of the stairs, several windows sills not rounded in the front, communication wires left hanging on the exterior of the house instead of being placed in an all weather enclosure and having to grade the back yard myself when I was promised a “trunk load” and dirt and give maybe a wheel barrow. I ended having to buy additional dirt to fill in around the utility pedestals and several other areas in the back portion of the lot as they did not drain but merely created large pools of water when it rained. This is the second home I've built new through a national builder. No builder is perfect and every new build will have their issues. But, what started with great promise, ended with multiple settlement (non-Covid) delays, poor construction, and even worse quality control. Every builder is struggling with labor and supply shortages, but this development suffered from poor project management and ZERO acknowledgement of shortcomings from any senior management at KHOV. They should be ashamed how they treat customers. If you're considering purchasing a home from this builder, run, don't walk.

Absolutely frustrated and disappointed with this builder. They are only good and helpful when trying to SELL you the property. After many phone calls and emails regarding missing upgrades (that I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR) and urgent service calls--broken dishwasher; stove hood and a clogged bathtub plus a long list of many more items--they still have not addressed any of these! There are other quality builders with great workmanship and most importantly SERVICE but this builder DOES NOT meet any of those requirements!

Workmanship was poor and poorly supervised by supervisor. Had 14 issues that needed to be fixed a month later only two issues addressed 12 remain in limbo

Our entire experience with KHov has been nothing short of a nightmare, save for a small handful of amazing employees of KHov. KHov has taken what should be one of the best and most memorable times in our lives… and turned it into a living nightmare. This house is not a home, it’s only a house. We can’t even fall in love with it, as the list of defects is in the hundreds. Literally HUNDREDS of defects We can’t even invite friends and family over to our new house, purely out of embarrassment. We can’t fathom the embarrassment of showing off our unfinished house. There is crumbling concrete, mismatched paint sheens and shades. There is a missing attic cover. Every cabinet door is scratched, scraped, and/or damaged. The bathtub has a gouge in it. The sliding glass door frame was shaved in a half-assed attempt to cover up for damage and done so crookedly and looks terrible. There is a cracked window frame. One window has a sticker between panes of glass. The list goes on and on and on. It’s honestly shocking that any builder would have such low standards and poor quality-checks. ... More

Buying a home from a tract home builder is always a struggle

Horrible! SO many things not built correctly indoor and exterior as well. Also, metal scraps on the carpet that was never cleaned and punctured and bled my foot. Now we are trying to get the items corrected but almost seems as if we were a bother or afterthough.

My concerns started with the sales office and what I would call small wording deceptions through the building process were brushed off I had to fight with the builder to address problems with workmanship and materials which were never properly addressed. Then after receiving keys it has been pretty much the same I have been promised it will get better but as of yet I’m still not seeing it. The latest promise was yesterday. Maybe this time some one will just be honest and actually do what they say.

Not delivered home on time. Pavements already have cracks no one came to fix those. Kitchen blackslash half done.. i was told it will go all the way top.. i have submitted service requests almost month happened no one came to fix those issues. Attic was not painted properly.. Clean up of home was not done properly..
