K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

The mortgage company was difficult to work with but the work was good and the house turned out great.

Needs to finish with quality .. hurried work on the house affected and added sour taste to my experience

It’s never been easier to buy a house

Amazing people to work with in getting us into our home

The purchasing process was very easy with K.Hovnanian. They were very responsive in the sales office as well as on the construction side. We are very happy with our total experience and highly recommend K. Hovnanian!

Overall great company for building modern homes, however dissatisfied with the inability to make slight changes to the floor plan, and charging for the 2nd outside garage light was petty. Poor choices on countertops and flooring. Items that should be part of standard are added as upgrades such as normal size toilets, etc. The paint and cleaning were very poor. The house was delayed by a month due to incorrect plans submitted to the city, with no sense of urgency or any offerings of compensation (I paid hotel room an extra month). Other than apologies and it’s only an estimate on delivery, no efforts were done to bring it closer to the due dates. Sarah the sales manager was great and courteous as well as Joe L the construction manager. ... More

Sales manager (Marlene) and construction manager (Keith) were great. A few bumps along the way, but that’s to be expected. The recommended mortgage broker was a NIGHTMARE. Would not recommend him to anyone.

Negociable

The entire process from first visiting the properties thru financing, closing and follow up after the sale has been easy. Responsive to inquiries and the few minor issues that needed attention. The team of Tricia, Kristen and Arthur do an outstanding job.

As usual, my new house has some details that must be corrected and the builder's staff has given me a quick response for each of them. Excellent home, excellent neighborhood. Nice place to live.

Superior Home and even Greater Staff, they walked us through the whole process. They had an answer for every question or concern we had. Absolutely Love our new home.

I was surprised at the issues we ran into. Especially the finishes. Painting is really poor. We also had problems with plumbing and lighting. there is a switch in the loft that does not make sense and appears to be a mistake, but it will not be corrected. I continue to find issues.

Everyone I interacted with was very helpful and informative. They all had a great personality and made the process piece of cake. Thank you! :)

I’m very happy with my new home. Very well built.

The builders did a good job in building this house. Builder also took time to explain everything and gave out tips that every new homeowner should know, And they made me feel like I can reach them for any concerns I may have, that so far I have none. Looking forward to many years with this durable and beautifully made house.

Fixtures like towel bars or faucets need to be upgraded to quality not bottom end

We love our new home. The quality of construction is superb. All our friends and family members are at awe seeing the house!! Drew was outstanding. A thorough gentleman and a friendly professional! He attended to all our questions and issues with lots of patience and was very understanding of our concerns. Eban was awesome too. We highly rate Hovnanian and would recommend it to any home buyers.

Horrible Builders, including vice president. Please avoid buying from KHOV.

The quality of the products and workmanship are just good. I think these can be improved a little to become excellent.

I love my new home and would build again with K. Hovnanian Homes!!

Make sure that everything works properly at the moment of the walkthrough

Working with K.Hovnanian team I built my home from the foundation up and the people on the field and the sales person went above and beyond in assisting and providing information which lead to a quality build home.

Great customer service all the way around!

We had an experience of a lifetime and can't believe we are finally homeowners. God put this builder in our path and allowed us to work with Patty Beauchamp. She has the highest character and dedication to making our dream happen. The whole construction crew has the highest lever of professionalism and it shows in the homes they build. Patty never gave up on us and had our back through the whole process. I have never seen someone so willing to help and serve her customers. God bless your company and your people.

I was disappointed. While I'm happy to be in a new home. The service and responsiveness was awful. I think I have gotten better service at bestbuy when looking for a DVD player. I was pretty much called as liar when I brought up issues with the build and workmanship was not the best. I found doors barely hanging on by a screw because hinges were loose. Garage door not centered. Stairway to basement butchered up. And the response to these issues were not addressed in a satisfactory manner. Especially since it's a purchase of 250k!... like I mentioned, I get better service at a store buying a $50 appliance ... More
