K. Hovnanian® Homes Reviews

Excellent service Great experience

K Hovananian homes are in a class way better than other builders. Professional customer service throughout the whole process of the build. K Hovananian homes are manufactured with tons of superb craftsmanship. After the closing date customer service is what matters the most to a home buyer. I would definitely recommend K Hovananian homes to any serious buyer.

By far the best buying experience we've ever had, so much so that we even referred my sister who also bought a house in the same subdivision! I cannot speak highly enough for Susan, our sales agent, Alan and Roger who helped with the construction. The house is very sound, quiet, the experience was a breeze, and the overall enthusiasm from the team was great. Everyone that has seen our home has had nothing but praises, and we could not be happier. However, I do have 1 complaint, and that is with the finishing and use of finishing materials. Towards the end, all of the touch up work, finishing, trim, paint were clearly very rushed. The quality of workmanship is extremely poor with lots of areas needing touch ups, broken/chipped tiles, one of the stair railings shaking a lot, almost noen of the spindles are flush with the base of the stairs leaving a significant gap, and almost every single piece of trim/moulding is damaged with dents and defects throughout the house (framing around doors, baseboards, etc). I understand builders grade material is used for these types of construction homes but the defects should have been patched, sanded, and then painted rather than just covered up with paint. We've found the same issue on the exterior of the house as well Although these are just cosmetic issues, they really take away from the "polished" look we would expect for a new home. I will include all of these on my 45 day list of items that need to be revisited/fixed. Overall, my family and I love our house and think this may be our forever home - I would specifically like to recognize the team we worked with, Susan, Alan, and Roger at Town Creek Crossing who were just incredible! ... I did not get good service from the builder, quality of construction is not that great for the price I paid.

it took a long time to get to settlement, but the unit is everything we wanted........

Very happy with entire process, sales team and builder provided required information in timely fashion Quality is up to market standards Very happy with Construction Builder. His very responsive and proactive

Could have provided more details for upgrade options , improve quality of build and handle additional care for work done by of suppliers

Sales was awesome, the communication from the builder was great the entire time. There were more items needing fixed or finished than I would have liked come closing day. A few of them still not complete a month after closing. I enjoyed working with all of their people during the process, I'd just be much more inclined to rate higher if the last few repairs would be complete at a much faster pace.

Personally I like the architecture of these homes.

If it wasn't for Siobhan and her striving efforts to go above and beyond the call of duty. She completed one of the most difficult task I have ever seen done by a person who CARE about the AMERICAN PEOPLE & strive for the greater good in our AMERICAN direction for FAMILIES. Colton also provided a part in finishing our house. Thank you K. Hovnanian® Homes

When it is to sell the property, they tell you everything is so flexible, but when it comes to closing... the story is very very different.

Our sales rep and building manager were great shout out to them :)

Good Builder , Recommend other to buy home from K Hovnanian

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a condo in the Pender Oaks community. My sales agent, Joey was truly amazing to work with! He was attentive to my needs and concerns. He also responded to my questions within a timely fashion. Despite the delay in the home building process, the KHov team communicated frequently to let me know what was going on. Matt, the Construction Manager, has also been wonderful throughout this process. He's been here through every step of the way and has taken the time to explain the inner workings of my home and has even gone above and beyond to help resolve certain issues with the home. I would definitely choose K. Hovnanian again when purchasing my new home. ... More

Having to wait for almost 10 months cost us a great deal of money and a great deal of anguish. The interest rate started at under five and ended up 5.5. Over the life of the lone that is a great deal of money. We bought the condo to be close to our grandkids. We missed a year of their life. It was very upsetting to keep your life on hold. My sister purchased a house three months after us and moved in three months before us. Some builders seemed to be able to get materials.

I love my house and the development. Vicki has been great in helping with everything. She is the best and very responsive. Fred was also very helpful. I do not like the color of the paint on the walls and ceiling. I wish it was pure white. Also, I wish the sod was done better. Overall, I think it is great.

Todd was very helpful in walking us through upgrades and very patient with our queries. After we signed P&S , we met Chad who managed the built for us. He provided an update every week with pics and target for next week. Found him to be very informative and open in his communications, be it for delays or on track wins. Overall he completed our house 1 month before planned completion date. Around closing and after, we met Mike who is also a great guy with a keen eye for detail. Excellent experience overall and i would highly recommend them.

So many issues in the construction and the builder don’t respond to fix the issues reported.Couple of design issue where bath room doors collide with the main doors in the guest room and refrigerator door collides with the pantry door and they don’t care to address the issue they simply say it is as per the design provided by the architect..Dishwasher door was colliding with the side wall of the counter top and was not in usable condition on the day we moved in.Overall not a good experience.I will have to wait and see how they respond to all issues reported.

This has been the worst home-buying experience my wife and I have ever had. We felt we were lied to and manipulated by the KHOV sales team; specifically Joe’s. without considering its deceit's economic ramifications. This has been devastating for my wife and me. The KVOV Sales and construction team at Pender Oaks Towns it’s all about misinformation, untruths, and deceiving actions. I would never recommend KHOV.

I had a great experience with the sales offices - especially Joe. They listened and answered questions over and over again each time I asked with a smile. The construction team - especially James were amazing. Going above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied with the work being done to the house. The only unpleasant experience was with the mortgage company through Khov in particular - Andrew. He was very unprofessional and did not have the knowledge and background to assist with a purchase that started in November and completed in July. Overall I would work with Khov sales and construction again in the future! ... More

Our experience from start to finish was great! Our builder tended to our request and responded in a timely manner. Jeremy was and still is a pleasure to work with. All of the different crafts handled their portion of the build with professionalism and excellent craftmanship.

Our builder Jeremy and sales rep Brandi were great. They were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had and helped us resolve them in a timely manner.

Plumbing for washer dryer install with something stuck in the pipes, so washer flooded the floors and had to be replace after the first wash. Moisture control came n drive up electric bill by having their fans on24/7 for 5 days. Nails sticking out on staircase poking my daughters feet. Electric outlet were poorly install, you can see the cut in the wall. Bathroom fans was not working properly and had to be fix. Overall production is poor. Quality built was overlook and ignore. Seems like they rush to get this house built. I wish there was a return policy on houses. I would not recommend this builder. Only good side is one of the site supervisor was very responsive and got things fix. But I rather not go through the trouble again or ever. All in all we paid a lot for this house and we expect good quality. Hope nothing else is wrong in the long run. ... More

Front office staff was great. Other than that overall service and craftsmanship was horrible. Spent a lot of my hard earned money on what seems to be a poorly built home. Carpet in multiple rooms not installed correctly with missing pieces. Electrical problems in garage and master bathroom. Nails, screws and trash left around home after being told it would be cleaned up prior to move in. Driveway had to be replaced. Issues with Stucoo in multiple areas. All concerns and issues were submitted like I was told to do. None of which have been addressed or taken care of it’s been over a month now. After submitting request I finally received a phone call a week later. In this conversation the K-hov rep stated that he would be out that Friday to address all problems and concerns. When that time had come he did not show up nor have the decency to give me a phone call and let me know he would not be showing up. All in all I would not recommend this company to anyone else given the circumstances. ... More

The sales people josh and susan were great through the entire process. Their sales manager was rude and obnoxious. The warranty department is ridiculous. I have been waiting over a month and they have fixed 1 thing. My cabinets were supposed to be repaired ftom the final walk and haven’t heard a word
