My experience is the builders take great pride to build a great home for the homebuyer the detail behind it is amazing. They make it seem like they building it for themselves. The help and follow up after getting keys is amazing. Checking in to see how the house is. Is it running great etc. I highly recommend this builder.

K. Hovnanian new home buying process is inflexible. You'll have to make decisions within a short period of time and if you do not make the correct decision, you'll be stuck with it. This is especially hard as you are trying to navigate financing and all the other home buying requirements at the same time. Also, expect a lot of little changes after you move into the house.

It was a great experience so far. I would recommend K. Hovnanian to my friends and family.

Not only did my husband and I buy a brand new house, but it's also our very 1st home. I've heard so many horror stories about new home construction, but we didn't have any problems at all. Everyone was very knowledgeable and the process was very smooth!

Sales team was great, once moved in I had issues with sheet rock cracking 3 times so far and just the little things missing like a screw in a light fixture, no shower rods upstairs, also no anchor in wall for the toilet paper holder. The teams responsiveness to these issues was very fast and they take care of the issues.

Instead of just fixing the problems they went above and beyond to make my house perfect. They even added in upgrades free of charger. 5 stars from me.

Khov produced a quality home for my family and I. We are very pleased with our experience and would refer KHov to our friends and family. 10/10

Communication with the client is excellent. They do the work on time and even ahead of time. There are only minor shortcomings about the construction work.

Honestly can’t describe. I love the community and enjoyed the whole process overall. Some stuff needed to be fixed and the guy got on it right away like if it never existed to be wrong in the first place

The whole team was great at communicating the entire process of the build. Everyone was great at getting back to me with any questions that I may have had.

Purchasing our forever home in K.hovnanian was exceptional. Everyone was very accommodating to our needs and concerns, from our agent, to the building supervisor and mortgage team. Although there bumps along the way, but the team assured us that we can still finish on our target date. Now we are enjoying our new home. I never regret I chose K.hovnanian for building our forever home.

In this market, trying to navigate home buying when you're in another state is challenging. I wanted my forever home and did not want to settle, therefore decided to build a new home. After flying into town and looking at other builders in other areas around central Florida, I ended with K. Hovanian. It didn't take long for me to decide that I had found where I wanted to spend the rest of my days and leave something for my family to enjoy years down the road. While I had to wait 2 months for the lot I wanted to become available, I saw prices slowly climbing but was lucky to get in before they escalated too much more. I do wish there had been a few more choices for things like backsplash, flooring (carpet), etc. overall I am very pleased with how things turned out. The design center appointment was an all day and somewhat stressful experience to make so many decisions and in some cases limited choices. I did fly into town for this visit although it was offered to be done virtually amid the pandemic. Being able to clearly see my choices and how they would look laid out together was definitely work the trip. I also only wish that the builder allowed some changes along the way during the building process. I had times where I had wished that I had selected something that I had originally opted not to do and would have loved to be able to add that in. The sales team was great the construction manager assigned to my build were awesome! All of my issues/questions were addressed promptly and professionally. For this to be our first home buying experience , K Hov made everything very easy . I do believe that some base options could be upgraded to be “base” such as paint.

I really appreciated the sales office and the super, Alan. Alan was amazing and Mike and Shane were very attentive. The financial end was unenjoyable at best.

Did a walkthrough before drywall installed and noticed every crack and gap was sealed up before the insulation was put in. Home feel very well sealed up. Even the basement concrete floor is not cold. Its middle of winter and the basement does not feel that cold.

Great builders! Good communication and work was efficient.

Overall an ok process. The initial paperwork for the condos was an alright process, but the price jumped up $5k at last second before we committed to buying. This was due to someone else buying a condo in the unit before we signed. During the home décor phase, the specialist was really nice and gave us a ton of useful suggestions on what to include in the new home. However, there were some selections I believe that should have come standard with the home rather than an upgrade since it was marketed as a "Luxury home". For example, you will get a garage door but a garage door opener + remotes will cost $800 on top of the lot price. For the kitchen, you'll need to upgrade to get a gas stove top. Any cabinetry will require you to upgrade to level 2 in order to get hardware (handles) installed. I believe small things like this should be the baseline - not an upgrade. The builders usually gave us a weekly update on the construction of the home. We did have a construction delay of about 2 months due to COVID & labor shortages which is understandable. Though they did have a last minute 2 week delay in closing which was frustrating as it extended past my rate lock period and costed me an extra $1k to hold it. Whenever we did the pre-dry wall inspection and golden key orientation the builders were always super nice and informative, can't say enough good things about them. The model home staff on the other hand wasn't always the friendliest or the most coordinated. One time we wanted to show our family the condo we were buying while it was being constructed. We called ahead to make it was ok with the staff and they reassured us we could stop by for a visit. Once we got there the staff didn't know we were coming and rudely said that we may not be able to visit. After verifying the builders were not busy in the home, we were eventually able to take a quick tour. The mortgage office ok, but often their rates were not competitive with others. The additional "builders bonus" you get if you choose their mortgage company comes at the expense of an increased interest rate which was not explained to me until near closing. The loan fees were also generally higher than other companies, which reduces the "builder bonus" actually going towards your mortgage. After moving in, the condo was overall fairly nice and is in a great location for us. There was one issue that was not fixed after the final walk though and after we had already closed on the house: the ceiling prewire bracket was much lower than the ceiling, which isn't a big deal. The warranty person was easy to work with and quickly sent workers out to fix it without a charge. We also had issues getting trashcans. For some reason our information didn't get passed on to the HOA which caused a 3 week delay in us getting the cans. After now living here for about 2 months we did experience a few other issues: a broken microwave, a missing hot water shutoff valve, and a toilet paper holder that was too close together. The warranty team again was easy to work with, dispatched the right people within a reasonable time, and at not cost. They've been great throughout the process. We've also noticed the paint chipping near corners of walls, but that's most likely due to the settling of the house. They do offer a free touch up kit, and I think they offer to retouch the house at the 7 month mark after the house is done settling. Overall, there were a lot of small things that ultimately culminated in a less than ideal experience. Some of them can be attributed to COVID and labor shortages like the delay, but then there are small quirks like the house upgrades that really should be the baseline. The end product has been great to live in, but in the future I'd be hesitant about going through this process again. ... More

I couldn't be happier about the fact that I purchased my first home from K Hovnanian. The quality of their workmanship is stellar, which the house reflects very well. They were a great source of information for us throughout the process, especially Ms. Bogar and Mr Smith. They always made it a point to let us know that we could reach them with any questions we had even after closing. Furthermore, I must commend them on their post-sale service as they reached out several times since closing to find out whether our experience remained a positive one. They even installed a transition strip for the back door to the garage in good faith two weeks after closing! Look no further if the house you like was built by K Hovnanian! ... More
