We’ve had quite a few issues to resolve with the warranty coverage and it’s been a little difficult to get someone out at a reasonable time of the day. There’s been numerous occasions that my wife or I take off work and the individual has not arrived in the scheduled window time frame.

My experience with K Hovnanian was amazing. This was my first home purchase and the entire team was attentive and supportive through the whole process.

Argelio and Todd were amazing despite supply and delivery issues!

Most of the work in the house seems like they hired anyone off the street to do it. Crooked walls, paint splattered all over floors and stairs. Gaps in baseboard. Gaps in flooring. Wrong flooring added in a closet so they could “be finished to closed.” Dishwasher not properly installed so it rocks. House wasn’t power washed before closing so all the siding is covered in dirt. For buying our first home and being excited it was a poor experience. 30 days in and all they have fixed was a crack in one of the tubs. Wouldn’t buy a house from Khov again.

Overall disappointed in the workmanship for the price that we paid.

The house was NOT ready to be handed over to me and I have a list of over 15 items that need to be repaired with contractors in my house almost daily! The construction team totally dropped the ball and the quality of the workmanship of the house is terrible! I can't believe the amount of defects and things that need to be fixed!! It is unacceptable for the amount of money I paid for this house.

After my experience I would not recommend this builder. My home was rushed in the end, the process was inflexible, associates were learning at my expense. If I could do it again I would not have made the purchase with this builder.

Get punch list completed before closing. I'm waiting 5 months.

The sales person was good, she was very responsive throughout the entire process. The most disappointing part is the quality of workmanship and materials. The cabinets are VERY low quality and workmanship of installation is VERY poor. Cabinet doors are not lining up, trim pieces are falling off from, sharp nails/staples are exposed etc. Both interior and exterior paint jobs are very messy and workmanship is VERY poor as well. There are many paint drips, splashes, missing spots, and even wrong colors on exterior trims. In addition to the poor workmanship there are many signs of carelessness shown throughout the house on many items and that is very disappointing. The house was NOT clean when I moved in. Our experience had a lot of issues. We had four different builders during the build process. This was confusing and created issues with the quality of the home and communication. During the building process we sent in emails about issues we saw. Many were never answered. The "original" builder told us in the beginning that our gas meter would be next to all the other meters on the garage side. When we asked the third builder, why this wasn't the case he said "We never know which side of the house the gas meter will be placed." Now we cannot add a whole home natural gas generator. We understood some issue because it was 2021, i.e. weather ,product delays, and contractor shortages. The real problem was communication and clarity. This was hard with the turnover of builders. We understand that the completion date was delayed three separate times. Now, in the home for a month, an issue we sent in pictures of in August was not taken care of creating a major water leak issue. We still do not have complete use of our owner suite bathroom and our owner suite bedroom because it is housing fixtures for the bathroom. Our new microwave broke before Thanksgiving or under 2 weeks living in the home. We still don't have that repaired. We are waiting on parts since the technicians don't have anything on hand to repair the unit. Our sales person was top notch and kept us as up to date as she could. Overall I understand that this was an abnormal situation when you build a home during a pandemic- I get it. However, the follow up of our questions was poor throughout the process from our project manager. Even after closing, we rarely get a response when we reach out to anyone from the construction team regarding outstanding issues. Happy with the home so far, but the process could have been better.

Very pleased with the sales representative, so professional, kind and friendly, we loved the way they treated us, and helped us.

Overall Good experience with the Rep Ashley when looking at homes, answered questions truthfully, did not treat anything different about our visits. Always willing to go beyond her duty. The construction Rep Jesse has been great very responsive to any issues that occurred after purchasing the home. Great communication overall.

Lacey was absolutely awesome. She made my home purchasing experience very easy. Especially, since I was moving from another city and things were sight unseen. I had to rely on her for everything. I love my new home and couldn't be happier. I would definitely purchase another K. Hovnanian home.

Build and purchase process went without any major issues. The quality of the house is great.

The builder provided options where I could move in with minimal friction. Such as blinds, refrigerator, washer/dryer, etc.

Good builder. Warranty issues are resolved quickly.

Good home, well built, only problem we had was in the time it took to build it - three months longer than anticipated

Once we signed for the house it all went down hill from there. We are just another number they will eventually get to. A long list from the gold key walkthrough was never taken care of.. I’m sitting at just over a month in the house and the list is just as long. Biggest items dishwasher, electrical panel door and my kitchen hardware still not fixed. SMH lesson learned cause now they got the money for the house they don’t feel the need to fix the crap they fell short on

We purchased a model home that was built 2 years ago. The structure usually starts showing some cracks in 2 years, but this house was as good as it was just constructed. That shows the quality of the construction Khovnanian offers. The entire staff right from the sales agent Heba to the warranty folks who did a walkthrough of the house were extremely helpful and patient. Being first how owners we had a lot of questions and were very anxious but Heba made the whole process extremely smooth for us. She was always available to help us with anything we needed. The workmanship was average at best. Plenty of areas where drywall was very poor and had to be re-done. Paint job was not great. Fireplace had to be re-set. Many other minor items, but most are being addressed. Garage door — some worker mistakenly drilled holes in the wrong panel. He should have admitted his mistake. At least it was the same panel that was also dented. Eventually it will be replaced. I have purchased new construction before and that home was built with much more care and quality.

Still waiting on final pending items from our final walk before closing four weeks ago.

The builders offered free upgrades to my neighbours equipment that they had ordered and I was promised that it will be given to me as well. The builder told me to make sure to give him a good review as it is very important. After a few weeks during my meeting with the builder, I was advised that the builder has changed. I asked the builder if the upgrades would still be applied to my property as promised by the previous builders. My neighbors got the upgrade on their stuff. The builder told me I will not be getting any upgrades, and that is why he is the builder now not the other guy. However, the important part is when I saw the house for the first time I raised a couple of my concerns. The walls were damaged, the doors were not straight, sockets and swtiches were not screwed on tight. I told the builder there are a lot of things that still needs to be fixed. He said no worries, I will give you a blue tape and anything you see just put blue tape and we will fix it. When I checked up on it next time, I saw that there were still a lot of things that were not corrected and I brought it to the builders attention. He said to put a blue tape again, while I was putting blue tape. The builder told me that nothing is perfect so we will try. I told him the doors are not straight, the ceiling of the wall is damaged. He did not provide any explanation but just stated that nothing is perfect and review is important. Everytime I met the builder, he was only concerned about the review instead of looking after my concerns. After closing when I came back I noticed nothing was fixed. Even some parts of the blue tape was there, scratched on the appliances, uneven doors, damaged walls, under window damaged, uneven floor. I don’t blame the contrcution crew but how can a builder approve the work that's damaged and uneven. The fridge was installed incorrectly, there is water leaking hopefully someone will fix it. While working on papers they messed up many times and they told me it was a simple mistake we will resend it. I am very disappointed with the builder, I wanted to refer my friends to buy from the same company but after this I won't be referring them. ... More
