Sales Department is great! John and Jen are great to work with.

The experience with the mortgage team was exceptional.

The overall experience is great. The account managers need to be more patient and less pushy. They need to engage, communicate and give options that are at their disposal. However their responsiveness was up to the mark.

Do not use their finance company. Quality of workmanship is terrible. Every door frame is in new home is damaged or chipped. Paint job for the whole house is the cheapest and worst out of the 4 houses we have owned. Multiple spots on the walls that were damaged were just painted over. To many issues to even list. The only reason they get one star is because of the kitchen. Best part of our new home. Over all I would recommend to look somewhere else if your looking for a new home.

On 9/28/2021 I closed a house in Alvin, TX. During the process, there were a lot of problems with the builder. I have emails where I started to point out details, he told me that I "didn't understand" and that "this is construction." I actually work in the industry, so I do understand. I stopped visiting during the construction of the house because I just got frustrated every time I went due to how dirty, and poorly coordinated it was being built. Before closing, they were supposed to fix the vinyl flooring but the vinyl subcontractor didn't even go, but he told me they did. I have pictures of how all the vinyl flooring is coming out due to poor glue applications, poor coordination, and lack of supervision. They went to "fix it", but a few days later they started coming out again. I requested ALL the vinyl flooring to be replaced. A GC's job is literally to manage risk and supervise, but the builder of my house told me he "couldn't supervise flooring" which is the poorest excuse I've ever heard, you just have to follow the same route they do, look through the windows, put a camera, etc. He constantly told me "remind" him of his own meetings with me. A client should not be reminding a builder of scheduled meetings. I am very unsatisfied, frustrated, and disappointed with myself for choosing K HOV as my builder. It took them like 3 weeks to coordinate a simple flooring issue. When they did fix the flooring they made a complete mess, couldn't even put back the barn doors correctly, screwed up the garage door, and I could keep going. As of 11/5, I haven't been able to move in. I will not be recommending K HOV to anyone, and this is the first and last time I will be building with K. HOV. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY, you're basically paying $300K+ for a poorly coordinated, cheap material house. ... More

We had a great experience and love our home!

Our sales rep, Rick was great. We believe that he went above and beyond to help us with all the issues that arose during our new home build. With the restraints of some building materials, with the help of Rick, we were still able to close on our home on the original given date.

Our salesperson Gabbi was wonderful and responsive to our needs. Our GC was not as responsive and had excuse after excuse for the delays. Our friends went with a different builder and they broke ground in April and moved in a week before we did, we broke ground in February and closed on September 24 but purchased in November of 2020. We chose to have you paint our interior but the paint is very prone to smudges and stains, maybe give out other paint options.

Overall the experience was great. Diana, Brett, Josh and the entire crew were great to work with. Wish the craftsmen could have spent a little more time on the details i.e. ( misaligned showerhead in the masterbath, drips on the kitchen cabinet doors and a partially dead tree in the front yard) however they responded and resolved most things when requested in a speedy manner. For that, we are extremely happy with our new KHovnanian home.

Excellent selection for decent price. You can do alot with space given.

Everyone at K Hovnanian Homes were absolutely professional and extremely helpful every step of the way. They made me feel at ease on a nerve-wracking part of my life as a first time home buyer. I will not buy again K.Hovnanian because Quality is really Bad.A lot of issues need to be fix.Construction worker and inspection are not professional.They don’t know how to do they jobs.We are not happy.If we know the kind of issues we wouldn’t buy a home from K.Hovnanian.We should buy other Builder.We spend so much money for our home but quality we got very very bad.I will not recommend all my family’s,coworkers and all my friends.All outside Electronically outlets no power until now.I told construction manager and supervisor but still not done yet.Home number sign has no light until now.Flooring had gap everywhere upstairs and down stairs.ant and spider coming from flooring gap hole.we are very disappointed.Stairs handle was broken.Screws mark hole every where.Dry wall had damaged and bath tube had damaged in master bathroom and downstairs full bath.We spend so much money for a home but not even worth it.Very careless peoples.We are the most not happy about our home a lot of issues need to be fix it.Support to be no need to be worry about anything.If you guys are expect persons it shouldn’t be like this.Very Very Bad construction K.Hovnanian.Sale agent was super nice and she know what she doing her jobs.She was more then outstanding jobs.Her name is Niki.I will give her 100%.We are very happy with sale agent Niki.We are spending so much money for upgrading but Quality was really bad.Construction peoples are not professional.They are not doing good jobs for most likely every where our home.Other home owner have a lot issues too.Overall we are not happy because of a lot of issues need to be fix.Support to be not to worry about anything.We will not buy again K.Hovnanian in our life time.It is our family’s dream home support to be enjoying and happiness because of construction workers are not very careless and don’t care about home owners.Because of what they did our home quality was very very Bad.That right we can not enjoy our dream family’s home and we are not happy.Never buy again with K.Hovnanian Homes. ... While there are certainly many things to like about the house, location, and customer sales representative there also were too many problems along the way. Many delays, a lot of misinformation, failure to follow agreements without arguments, the worst finish grading job I've ever seen in my life, mediocre job of laying sod, mediocre finish carpentry work, absolutely stupid placement of the dining room light fixture, acute lack of kitchen & bathroom storage space. There are issues with our kitchen drawers. They wouldn’t close properly, leaving an inch gap on one side. The builder is trying to justify this. They are not acting in the best interest of their customers. I don’t trust their explanation. Also, there is a heavy pushback on the warranty items. In our backyard, the area near the foundation line is wet and feels like a quagmire even several days after it stopped raining. They are refusing to address this issue indicating that there are no standing water conditions. There is hardly any carpet padding. Overall, the quality of the materials is mediocre. The builder has done a poor job of ensuring that the ground is leveled before putting the sod. The lawn is full of ups and downs. I wouldn’t recommend this builder. There are hardly any architectural elements in the house. You would expect some nice architectural elements on a $500K home. They have quality checks, but it is a joke! ... More

Every thing is good, Only concern is no bus stops near by to nee York city.

I worked with Adrian and he was excellent.

My first home buying experience not optimal due to lack of consistency with the Sales department and lack of communication/organization within the builder/closing team. It took 1 hour 1/2 to complete my paperwork but the closing lasted 6 hours which was completely unacceptable. We would call the department several times for updates and no one knew anything about my file meaning it had not even been reviewed. The closing team were understanding and thorough- that disorganization was out of their control unfortunately. I worked with New American Funding and my Senior Loan Processor (and his processing team) were trustworthy and overall served a smooth experience. Thanks to the lender, the builder's project specialist, and closing team, my experience was not completely negative however the builder's sales team need to be more knowledgeable and involved with their buyers. ... Delays, lies, and badly managed process

Overall, a very positive experience and we are very satisfied with the quality of the workmanship. Only negative was lack of flexibility to make even minor changes even 1 day after contract signed.

Excuses, excuses, excuses; we admired how Mr. Hovnanian achieved the American dream. We trusted your word. Signed closing documents on October 4, even though work was incomplete trusting what the Hovnanian brand stands for. Today it’s Nov 2, you should see the pictures and read the excuses as to why my home isn’t ready for occupancy.

Excellent home for the purchase price. Several delays in production and delivery.

For the "gold key" walk-through, the house is supposed to be finished and ready for closing. At our "gold key" walk-through, the house had significant issues and work outstanding that resulted in our closing date being moved several times at the last minute. This disrupted the moving process and created a very bad experience. There are also significant issues with work quality and craftsmanship as a result of inferior tradesmen performing the construction and work that has yet to be remediated more that 4 months after closing.
