Everyone we have worked with at K. Hovnanian Homes has been fabulous! They are responsive and truly want to make the home-owning experience the best for you. There were minor quality issues during our walkthrough, but they were happy to get those things fixed for us before we moved in. As first time home-buyers, we are so glad we chose K. Hovnanian!

Sales and construction manager were excellent

Buying and build was a very easy and pleasant experience. Meredith and Jeremy were awesome. They were always available to answer questions and the response time was A+.

Meredith of Dfw Seventeen Lakes community made sure to take good care of us as customers. She was quick to rescue our experience at critical times and ultimately made us feel appreciated and valued. Thanks for Meredith!!!

Everything was very easy except for the alarm contractor. I still can’t get the panel programmed.

The whole purchasing process is smooth and easy to deal with. They listen to what we need and are able to meet our budget.

The quality of the products and workmanship are just good. I think these can be improved a little to become excellent.

Tania Collazo did a great job, she take care of us since the first visit to the model house, she guided us customizing our new Home and her advise has be the primordial factor to have the best hause that we can get. THANKS TANIA!

The buying process was very easy. Mostly because if Kristina. She was very helpful, quick to respond and provided solutions right away! The house it self, I am choosing to believe that what’s under the drywall was done well. But the craftsmanship is definitely not what I was expecting. It was done sloppy, lazy and with little quality. Paint splatter, holes not filled, roughy and broken boards that weren’t even the same thickness. Air vents completely bent and asked about it, the builder Logan said “it’s the way they go”. Days after, a handyman came and fixed them in minutes. My closet is falling off because they did not anchor them to any stud, the garage ceiling and taping all over it was done completely wrong and it’s all peeling off. Massive holes outside as well. Great for rodents to come in. Overall, the details which is what one sees, were not carefully done. Seems they were rushing to get the home done and didn’t care what it looked like. Ski the lady who has been helping us with warranty, has been very helpful and patient. If only the builder had been as careful, we could be looking at a way nice looking home. ... More

Overall I am very happy with my home. The construction process was generally smooth, although at times it felt like other homes were moving at a much faster pace. For example, nearly every home on the street had windows but mine sat for about 2 months with no windows. The construction manager of my build changed several times but that didn't seem to really slow things down. My biggest complaint is that I felt very pressured into using the in house lender. I ultimately went with an outside lender but I had to jump through hoops to do it. Not only was the in house lender at a much higher rate, they wouldn't lock without me paying upfront, non refundable fees that didn't get credited at closing. Also, the in house lender almost never reached out to me to discuss options. I constantly had to reach out. It never seemed like she was looking out for me - the borrower - which she should have been. The $7500 credit incentive didn't make up for all those things. ... More

Great home family Is loving it

We absolutely love our home, we purchased one already built, however there were some details that were overlooked by KHov. There are things that cannot be corrected according to the builder such as crooked walls, flooring not lined up straight. Island in kitchen not straight. Since these are already in place, we are stuck with it. Please inspect everything before committing.

Builder should include window sills as part of the build. Unreasonable to have no sills and flat painted surfaces. How would you clean? What if water got on it? Houses are built too close together. Barely enough room to get a lawnmower between the house and the rock wall separating the property line.

Overall, great experience with the community.

Home buying experience was good, our sales person explained everything in the details and what to expect during the home build process.

Heather, Scott and Ayla are awesome. We love our new home. A little disappointed the quality of some of the products used (paint, dry wall, wall texture, cabinets). They look great, but probably won’t last long. Drywall is very bad quality, things we hang on the wall don’t stay because the drywall can’t support a hook.

We enjoyed working with K. Hovnannian. It was unfortunate that the market drove up the price, but we are happy with what we have compared to other builders who were way more expensive. We would have liked if they would have allowed us to make minor adjustments and inclusions to the home at our expense but they didn’t. Any issues or problems they fix immediately. We really appreciated the weekly updates from Josh our builder, he did an excellent job of keeping us informed of every step in the building process. Also, our contact at K. Our sales rep Danielle was great throughout the entire process she kept us up to date with what was going on every week with videos and pictures. The home is great, there’s a couple little things that we’ll be contacting the warranty department about but they are very minor. Overall we are very happy.
