The experience was overall amazing. Closing dates changed but it was always communicated. Allowed to ask questions and provided answers.

We purchased a pre-built home through K. Hov. as our first home purchase. Everyone says buying is stressful and K. Hov. didn't make that easier. The house and builder were great, but the purchasing process was atrocious. We were promised a certain price no matter what lender we choose. After we put our earnest money in, we choose another private lender for better rates. When K. Hov. learned this, they inflated the purchase price and told us we could only receive the discounted price if we financed through them. In addition, our primary contact, Christi, was the most rude and degrading person I've worked with in a long time (I'm a teacher, so that's saying something). Other than these, we love our house and the build quality is great! If you're thinking of going with K. Hov., please just be wary that you need to get everything in writing. ... More

The buying process was very easy. Sales does a good job at handling mostly everything for you to close. The materials and quality in our home were dissapointing. Rusted applicances and fixtures. Paint specks all over the tiled floor, crooked trim and other issues we didn’t expect to find. Check all workmanship in detail before purchasing!

Bought a house during the time when prices and interest rates were rising and the market picks were slim. Through the midst of that madness, I still had a great experience with K. Hovnanian. My Construction Manager Kyle is the reason I'm so in love with my experience and would consider buying from or recommending K. Hovnanian to my loved ones. The home we purchased already had the finishing touches on it, and Kyle has been going above and beyond to make the house feel like home to us by being attentive and exceptionally responsive to our needs. This is a great builder with great product for the price point Lots of value !!! I would recommend that you make sure you get a good sales person to help the homebuyer process go as smooth as possible. My salesperson did not do a good job of making my experience memorable .

I would say that it was overall amazing experience, from my sales associate, the construction side of things and to the design store.

Amanda in the sales office was amazing!! Anytime we had a question she always had the answer. She took care of all of our needs/wants in building our home from start to finish! Christian our builder was always there for us and made sure everything was done right. From the first time we met with him until after we closed he did an awesome job! With Amanda and Christian you guys have a Great team. The experience building our first home was great!!

Our sales person and construction manager were great, made the process so much more enjoyable. I was impressed with the quality of materials and construction methods used.

Great experience from start to finish.

Home wasn’t signed off as completed until April 26th and we were set to close on the 28th. The lender needs a final appraisal which takes 1-2 weeks. They deemed K Hovnanian’s tactics unethical and went back on their assurance to cover the costs associated with delay of closing. I ended up being saddled with thousands of dollars of fees and paid after threats to relist the house. I see the fault on the side of all party’s except mine, yet I was the one saddled with undue financial burden.
