A good experience with K Hov

I am very unhappy with my new home. The sales rep Theory H. Was amazing but that’s where it stopped. The KHov design center is a joke. They send you to this big design center with tons of options except none of them are for you! I wanted simple upgrades and was told no we don’t offer that or no you can’t get that so I had to change out things once I closed. There are cheaper builders that offer way more options. The construction manager has not resolved issues that were brought up before closing over a month ago. They cut a strip out of my cabinet and glued it back together which has now come unglued in less than a month. The cabinet company said they would be out to fix it and did not show up on the appointment date. My backyard is a lake and I have told the construction manager multiple times about it and nothing has been done to correct it. Do not use their security company connect one they are misleading l wasted $600 on connections that were not completed as told and they will not fix the issue as they said “ I misunderstood” and it would be an additional $1500 to correct it. My dishwasher also doesn’t work and has standing water when turned on and Getting GE to come out and service it has been nothing but difficult. Customer service is absolutely horrible after closing. I was also not provided with a paint touch up kit and had to beg for weeks just to get an incomplete set. I would not recommend purchasing a KHov home to anyone in my family or friends. ... More

KHov building manager and customer service is great.

Terrence and Adriane were awesome and had excellent customer focus. Whether we wanted to relocate a network/cable jack or there was an unexpected event they took great care of us. Would 10/10 buy a home from KHovnanian again.

The house itself is great. The project manager Javier is amazing. He is responsive and helpful. The biggest issue is the HOA. They are non responsive. None of us who closed received the documents. I am still waiting to get the finance docs and have asked for almost 2 weeks. They have a $250 fee to put in a request which is ridiculous. Especially since I couldn’t even get the documents. No fence and no grass is part of the sale of the house and it is expensive to put one in and you have to pay the $250 to request it on top of the price of the fence. With no guidance mind you. No internet access. No clue when we will get it. I am happy with the build of the house for the most part. Minor issues that are being taken care of but that is normal. That it was an overall great experience! Katrina was detailed and engaged while George was personable,easy and such a great help. I truly appreciate all involved and am just grateful. Would I recommend kHovnanian? I surely will. Thanks for everything. My wife and I are well pleased!

The salesman was great and attentive as needed, the builder not so much. The work is so sloppy to say the least. Even with the walkthroughs pointing out as much as possible the repairs were also rushed and sloppy. Due to the winter storm my second walk through was the evening before my closing and you could tell the builder was not inclined to fixing all the flaws. We had been living with family for months and were ready to be back in our own space so we closed and I planned to tackle some of the flaws myself; however, DAILY I find more flaws. I love my home itself but the workmanship makes me soo upset every time I find something new. This is not my first home but my first new build and I believe for the price and the home being new the work SHOULD have been way better. Not to mention the materials are cheap the paint and caulking should not be cracking after a month! ... More

The Company wasn't very helpful or understanding of pandemic issues complicating home buying process. Sellers was not helpful or patient with VA process. This was not a very easy process.Causing us (The Buyers) more expenses in living and home cost.

It was a great experience.

My overall experience with K. Hovnanian has been pleasant from the start. The Sales manager ( Ms. Jackie) was helpful and available to address my questions. The quality of execution of the house is very good. I would recommend them highly.

Closing was too much of a rush. My construction manager was excellent

As a first time homebuilder, K.Hov exceeded my exceptions from start to finish. I had the best team to guide me along this journey. Overall experience was amazing!

For the most part everything has been great. Our shoe mold looks terrible and parts have came loose a couple times which they just come and patch. I have asked multiple times for it all to be fixed but still looks just as bad. Other than this issue we have just had minor things here and there that were fixed quickly.

Robert was the best part of the process. Very responsive and helpful throughout the experience. I have already recommended to several friends.
