My experience has been mixed. During the home buying process we were working with Paul. When we decided to put an offer on our house. He wrote up the purchase agreement and said we would get 10,000 in incentives which includes a buy out of our current lease and two fans in our home. The next day he calls and says I can no longer offer what I promised. I can only offer $7,000 and only one fan. But don’t worry I’ll buy the other fan with my own money. Then it became you have to fill out a survey once you buy the house and give us a high rating then you will get your second fan. When my realtor called him one time with a question. He told her I just came back from vacation I don’t have time to deal with this right now. Josue the builder also made a lot of promises he didn’t keep. One being to lower the shelf in my laundry room because it’s too high. The toilet paper holder in the master bedroom was never put on the wall correctly. I called him to fix it. He came out looked at it and said you are correct but I forgot my tools and I’ll come back tomorrow to fix it. Never saw him again. I love my home but as I am living in it I can tell it was a rushed job to get it done in time for closing. ... More

The design of our home and quality compared to other builders is great. However several of the contractors they use don’t take pride in their work and do the bare minimum. They building manager Ismael was quick to respond and always said he would have all the needed contractors out to fix issues on the same day so I didn’t have to keep missing work. However that never happened and there was always excuses which kept causing me to miss more work. Matt got involved and repairs seem to be going better. We also were not made aware of the huge water issues in this neighborhood and were shocked to find that a full water softener/filtration system is absolutely necessary. The process of buying was smooth and enjoyable. However, the quality and craftsmanship has proved to be an issue. I do have confidence they will assist with making things better.

We felt on our walk through was rushed. and then we felt the house wasn't cleaned as well as we thought it should be upon move in. Couple of issues we noted on walk through were brushed off. (for example...".Oh just put some cleaner on that"...) We did eventually get things taken care of but not until after we made a list and it was fixed through warranty.. But it really shouldn't have been done that way. We do like our home....

The process was good. Just be sure to express your concerns and follow through with them. We’re thankful for an amazing realtor and great sales team that helped pull the weight of the construction team.

We love our KHovnanian home! The very few issues we’ve had after moving in have been taken care of and the house feels very well built. We liked the floor plans and we’re glad to find one that fit everything we needed in our first home together.

I felt good about my purchase a little upsetting with the final move in. The quality is subpar as far as the materials used. As for the builders team, they were not as efficient nor effective as to all that was promised. (Touch up paint after move in, none was left as promised, after inquiring I was told they don’t do that anymore, no cleaning after work completed. No timely response to my questions and issues. The only thing that I did not like about the K.Hovnanian home is the quality of the kitchen cabinets.

Since I moved in 3 months ago I have had two leaks in the bathroom Doors knobs are falling apart leaks coming from the blinds I am not happy even though issues there fixed this is a brand new build I should not be having theses issues especially for the price of the home and the company that build it

The overall experience was good. I did not like the one-sided contracts that say f the buyer and protect the builder. There was a lack of communication from the front office especially after I did my part to make sure that everything was ready for closing. We closed late and no communication was sent before the day of the original closing. I enjoyed working with Sammie because he was the only person who was honest about the whole process and was helpful even after I moved into the home. Very nice and genuine guy for sure. I love the community and have not experienced major issues.

I love the neighborhood of the home and the customer service was great. Thewas completed as scheduled for closing

We chose KHov because of the layouts and Brandi. She was so helpful with helping us decided on a home and walk us through all the options. We loved how easy she made the process and how informative she was. However, the closing felt rushed and the house we moved into was not the picture perfect home I believed we were signing for. We went through 2 walk throughs with blue tape to point out areas that needed work and yet I am typing this as I stare at some blue tape on a baseboard that still needed work. Christian was very nice about listening to my concerns with the “finished” product but more than a handful of minor issues around the house are still not done. It’s frustrating because each tiny issue alone is not a huge deal but when I go to clean up around the house the sloppy finishes around the trim work, window frames, and kitchen cabinets is such a let down. So although I would not go out of my way to talk negatively about KHov, I would definitely advise friends looking to buy a house to look at all options, ask more questions, and be prepared to delay closing until the house is actually finished. ... Our sales rep, Rick was great. We believe that he went above and beyond to help us with all the issues that arose during our new home build. With the restraints of some building materials, with the help of Rick, we were still able to close on our home on the original given date.

The process was okay, but not the best for my first homebuying experience. There was a lot of lack of communication and just general issues that were shoved under the rug. I do not recommend the KHov Mortgage company at all. The woman assigned to me was new and did not answer any of my questions, instead just rushed me and tried to get my money. If I had to do it again I would be going with a personal lender.

The floor plan is great. A lot of details were missed. I’m still seeing paint on the outside of the windows that need scraping. This is one example of missed details. The new home is still surreal and exciting!

I love my new K. Hovnanian home, but there were a few issues that were not resolved. The team the builders hired to build my home were unprofessional and not respectful of my property.

I love the home I bought. It has several things I wanted, but couldn’t find in other homes. An example is the master bathroom and master closet. They are exactly what I was looking for!

The construction manager was fabulous and worked with us very well. The loan process easy and will work with you

Explain clearly the pros and cons of using or not using a realtor, and that once the decision to or not use a realtor is made there is no option to change.

- Quality - The quality of the materials used is great, the execution of installation at least in my case, was rushed and therefore substandard. They are still contacting me to finish duct blaster testing (I've been living in my home for 45 days) which should have been completed prior to my move in. They demanded that we close no later than a specific date but they didn't finish construction until just a few days before closing. Only allowing a few days for the walk through to be completed. On top of that they keep hassling you about giving them 5 stars on this rating. Stop asking and earn it. - Value- That being said I believe the value was there, definitely a good purchase. Not 5 stars because of the rushed work and the subsequent work requests I've had to put in and make time for them to fix. - Trustworthiness - 'At least they tell you they're cheap in some areas' Lighting for example, I was told by them that pretty much all of my lights would have to be replaced soon. I expected them to last at least a year. Nope, nearly all of my exterior lights and about 1/3 of my interior lights have either burnt out, dimmed significantly or are flickering. Since they were very upfront about that among other things, they get nearly full points for trustworthiness. Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. 1. They demanded earnest money to close by a specific date. No problem. Only that they did not finish building until three days prior to the last day we could close without incurring fees. The walk though and final walk though were just 1 day apart! 2. We were lied to during the selling about gaps on the underside of the fence. Probably just a misunderstanding (I don't think it was malicious) between what sales thinks construction can/will do. - Responsiveness - It's slow. I expect it to be slow. I don't expect a business to prioritize warranty issues. I put in a request to fix a door and it took a week to get a reply. Therefore, a 4 star 'okay' rating. They respond and resolve issues without much fuss but it's not a 5 star response. All that being said, I want to shout out an all-star that they have working for them. Robert. The construction manager has been super honest and very helpful, he was given a nearly impossible timeline and has been working tirelessly to assist us. He alone is why my rating is not significantly lower. If I was just rating him, then I would give him 5 stars all around! ... More

Some of the workmanship was less than par ( Paint & Tile). Some of the promises such as adding more flooring and step up to 2nd level in the attic was never performed. Sloppy concrete on brick, cracked concrete in the garage step. Other than those items were fairly happy with everything.

The purchasing experience with our sales rep. Jessica was great, she went over and above to get answers to questions, etc... Getting our closing documents ahead of time was a disaster, not very prepared. The punch list for the home is still not complete after 3 months. The builders field rep from the Khov tells you what he thinks you want to hear with no follow up. Never writes anything down so I have to send numerous emails, text messages, photos reminding him of the outstanding items, in which very few items have been completed. I'm just very disappointed and frustrated that once the house was purchased it's a continual fight to get warranty items taken care of for the home we purchased. ... More

Neighborhood is not properly represented when buying the home. The lakes are dry and there is no fountains.. was told that our lot was capable of having a swimming pool. This is not true .. it clearly states on the septic survey in bright red no pool. Even the septic people state they have made you aware of this but the sales person assured us that our lot was cleared for a pool. How can you build homes on a half acre lot .. that can’t have a pool!! No a very good marketing plan.houses look nice but are lacking in quality in craftsmanship and materials used..
