I really like the way the style of the home, the workmanship was not up to par for the price. I still have things pending. The sales person and loan officer were great did everything to get me into my forever home. I am sorry to say that you can really tell how rushed they must of been to build the home. Nails sticking up on carpet stairs, caulking in whole house separated from parts of the wall, parts of fence not nailed, baseboards must of been painted after texture of wall was done because you can see the texturing into the base boards, I had to realign a lot of the doors myself so they would shut. ( I fixed because waiting and having people in and out of my house is not ideal, and most of the time they would show up or tell me they’re stopping by in an hour or so. Not even taking to account that most people like advanced notice. There are more things I had found that needed attention, but honestly I feel like they think I’m a pain in the side, and I feel bad. Now again the style the openness of the house is ideal, I’m in my sixties so do hope this is my forever home. I try not to be too picky, but homes are not cheap, I’ve had new homes before and really have not had this many issues. I imagine that with the way this area growing so fast that the worker are rushing and details are missed. Please know I do love my home I really just wish all these things were fixed in a timely considerate manner. I have taken pictures of some of the issues. House has a great layout. Material used for doors is really bad. No quality inspections were done by builder otherwise they would have noticed some obvious issues in the doors and walls. Once warranty claims were issued, took forever to address the issues. There has at least 3 different people that I have explained the warranty issues. With the price paid for the house you can expect better quality material and a better response to warranty claims.

These homes initially attracted me because of the luxury vibe at a cheaper price tag. However, now I see that you truly get what you pay for. The workmanship is shotty and the products/fixtures are very cheap. These are things you don’t notice initially. They put these houses up so fast and the final work product is ridiculous.

The process with the mortgage lender was flawless. They were amazing and everything was super smooth and easy. The building process and our sales agent however were awful. We were initially sent to look at the house we built due to the fact that it had large closets, because we have 4 daughters and desperately needed closet space. Come to find out, they ended up taking in a very large portion of one closet due to HVAC which was not like that in the model home, that was was showed to us as their selling point. Secondly, we had to have inspectors out twice to go over issues that needed to be corrected. We were completely ignored when we would bring anything to attention that needed to be addressed. There was a poor excuse for everything. Huge gaps behind the window trim where you could see through into the house that we had ti fight to get fixed. Trash in the pex lines. I was told if it caused a problem later on I could feel free to cut the dry wall out and repair it! Numerous places with cracked hardi plank, drip edges not installed correctly, front door knob doesn’t work, numerous places where they had to go back in and cut huge pieces of dry wall out because the tradesmen weren’t scheduled in a correct timeline. The dry wall guys dry walled over all plumbing and then the plumber had to come back and cut numerous holes to find the plumbing. Also had to cut out our shower wall tile because they tiled over the plumbing and had no access to it. The amount of backtracking was ridiculous. Had to close on our house with missing appliances. No suite refrigerator, microwave or dishwasher. The kitchen dishwasher was defective and flooded our kitchen the same day we moved in. Took another month to finally get a dishwasher in the kitchen. A month after closing to get any appliances at all in the suite. Not to mention they kept coming to install them and bringing broken appliances and waking up my baby every time, as that room is the babies room. They ended up bringing one appliance that was the wrong color and doesn’t match the rest. We were never offered any type of compensation for their short falling or inconvenience to us. When we realized we were never offered grass, we inquired about it and initially we were told to purchase it separately because it would be thousands cheaper than purchasing from KHOV. That was false when we got the quotes the same day that we asked the sales agent about grass. So then we told her we wanted to purchase from KHOV. We were then told it was too late to purchase. Telling us it would be thousands more was her way of trying to cover up her mistake. After some back and forth she agreed to an addendum to add grass. My yard was left with and ungodly amount of razor blades, trash and nails. This was supposed to be a wonderful experience for my family and it was anything but that. My kids can’t even play in our own yard without shoes because of rusty nails and trash. KHOV has really gone down hill. They are quantity over quality and take zero pride in their work. It’s absurd to pay 400k for a home that was built so poorly and the employees have zero pride in their work. I would definitely not recommend KHOV to anyone. ... More

I had a great experience building my home with Khov. Matt was very attentive and fixed any issues I saw immediately. I’ve been living in my home over a month and have no complaints. Quality seems to be great! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the mortgage team. I was not impressed and would never get my loan through them again.

Love my new home, the buying process is long and sometimes confusing, but Damaris was very helpful during the process, the construction was according to the plan, some issues during the walking through that were fixed, Felix was always pending on us, once we received the house, have a few warranty issues but minor details that Felix help to fix, don't know about loan issues because we bought without loan

The staff always answered my questions and were very helpful. I chose to finance with them and you may have more of a stressful time if your income is nonstandard. The only other thing I didn’t like was that I felt pressured to close by the end of the month, but I know each month costs money for somebody. Overall, I would not hesitate to do business with Khov again. The whole process was helpful and informative. Even after you purchase the house, they continue to check in through text or email to be sure that everything is going as expected. You don’t get that with a typical home purchase.

In general, it was a good experience, an efficient process. The overall finishes of the house are good, and the promptness in responding to warranty requests has been timely.

We had a pretty nice experience throughout the home buying process, from the initial earnest payment, to the design choices, all the way to the final closing day. The people we interacted with throughout the process were very professional and knowledgeable about their respective work. The construction process however could be improved a little to be really great for the home buyer. For instance, our first builder representative resigned close to house completion, and although our second builder was great at picking up where the first builder left off (and even now still helps us with any issues the house has), it would've been great to stick with the same person the whole way through. The workmanship wasn't perfect, and we still found items that needed fixing even after closing, most of them were fairly minor (paint touch-up, missing caulking, etc.). But overall the main and important items such as insulation, electrical, plumbing, structure were constructed well and so far there hasn't been any problems after living in the house for a few months now. Overall our experience with both builder reps were excellent and helpful with getting any questions we had answered, or would at least get back to us with any questions they couldn't answer. We do believe that for the price we paid, the quality could've been a little better. The saving grace is the warranty that comes with the house so at least any issues found post-closing could be addressed through the warranty. In all, the overall experience was great. Just be sure to ask your builder rep as many questions as you can and don't be shy to voice something that you don't like, even if it's something minor. And if you're in a situation where construction is getting rushed right before closing day, be especially diligent with searching for any areas the building crew may have rushed through. Overall, things seem okay as we begin to live in our home. I see quality issues on on some things such as fencing, the shape our grass was in when we moved in (dead), and the wash out of the dirt in our yard after a big storm that wasn't replaced before putting in the grass. Unhappy with the fact that the bathrooms don't have a medicine cabinet or towel holders. Something new homeowners shouldn't have to worry about installing or ordering. After moving in and starting to put away things in the kitchen cabinets, I noticed they are not normal sized cabinets as far as width. I cook a lot and I have no space for my larger pots and pans. It's a problem. And lastly, there are no cabinets in the laundry room. One set above the washer would be relatively inexpensive, but be very beneficial to homeowners to hideaway laundry items. ...
