The home sales people exceeded my exceptions, they are very professional and knowledgeable, always ready to answer all my questions regarding the home buying process, he made the process of buying my house very easy and free from worries, the builder team, specially the manager had been always prompt and ready to help me to solve everything related to the house, they always respond in a timely manner to any issue that arises. This is not the first home I have built but it certainly is with the best builder one could ever want. From day 1 carlos has been amazing, weekly updates without ever having to ask him for an update.....unheard of , so highly appreciate that. He is professinal, knowledgeable, tranparent, honest and a an all around awesome person!!!!

Sloppy finishes, poor materials, poor supervision, drainage not in accordance to approved drawings. Will not recommend to a friend.

We did not have major issues when we moved in. We met once a week with the PM and were able to review check the constr as it progressed Closing had some bumps. It seemed like communi issues related to the wording to appear on the title

Ken (Sales) was amazing. He addressed or questions and concerns quickly and made us comfortable with the process. Kristy (Home Warranty) is an exemplary assessment to KHov. We can not express how wonderful she has been and instrumental in addressing our needs through to resolution and closure.

Quality of materials and workmanship very good, no issues about, all itens discussed during negotiations step, fine, except refrigerator, vendor said will not be included, but will try, and after that, even with my e-mail about, no reply about this subject. Still no issues , mainly because we still dont move in. Sure we recomend this builder.

My overall experience with my K Hovnanian buying experience is extremely positive. Beginning with my initial visit to the community, I found all members of the professional staff to be excellent. My sales representative (Curtis) was very helpful and attentive to my many questions/concerns throughout the purchase and construction phases of my new home. He would throughly research issues or questions requiring clarification. He was always prompt in responding to my needs and is a credit to the Hovnanian organization. The interior designer that I worked with (Kristen), exhibited high levels of expertise in helping me identify, evolve and bring to fruition my interior design objectives for my new home. She helped me to explore a variety of design options which greatly enhanced both the beauty and utility of my home’s interior space. She made the laborious process of selecting between a multitude of interior design choices an enjoyable and enlightening experience. The production supervisor for my new home (Carlos) was truly excellent in overseeing and keeping me informed about all aspects of the construction process associated with my home. He kept me well informed about construction progress/details associated with the home through texts/photos/phone calls and was responsive to my many questions. During the construction and the pre-settlement inspection of the home, Carlos (1) provided excellent supervision of all aspects of the home’s construction process, (2) promptly responded to all of my questions regarding construction details and progress reports; (3) identified and subsequently coordinated the correction of a few interior repairs by subcontractors in an excellent fashion; and (4) exhibited great patience in explaining the technicalities of both the construction process and the operation of all of the major mechanical/HVAC systems for the home to both my wife and myself. He is truly a valuable asset to the Hovnanian organization. The individuals managing the community’s home owner’s association are also very good at informing community members about events or other issues impacting quality of life in the community. From Sales, to Design , to the Builder Foreman, I had excellent cooperation and a true desire to answer any questions or resolve issues. They worked as a team and delivered a great product. I am very pleased with the home.

There were several major issues that my wife an I encountered during the home buying experience. The first involved getting a mortgage, where we clearly were not treated as home buyers. It was made clear that our mortgage would be immediately sold upon closing and what was important was the fitting into the cells on a spreadsheet. We came from Canada and have a home that we are selling, but any Canadian assets were not recognized. I am a dual citizen and spent the majority of my life living and working in the US. My credit score is about as high as you can get, I have never missed a mortgage payment in my life, made a large down payment and have $1 million equity in my Canadian home and a healthy retirement account. There were several blatant discrimination actions on the part of the builders so called mortgage company; national origin, age and gender. During this nine month ordeal, I did not receive final mortgage until two days before closing. This was an extremely stressful time, that took its toll emotionally and physically. As part of our package we purchased a pool option. We have been in the home for three months and only a few days ago our pool was totally functional. On the other hand we love the house, we had outstanding service from our salesperson, design person and a major shutout to our construction manager (clearly a true asset to the company). We are disappointed with the major internal partisanship and politics within the community. As much as we love the product, getting to this point made this one of the most stressful years of my life. If I knew what we were going to have to go through to get to this point we would have made different decisions. ... More

Overall had a good experience with the building process. Issues that needed to be address were taken care of quickly.

Curtis helped us secure our desired lot and was responsive to our inquiry. Kristen helped us design the home of our dreams and assisted in the selection of the perfect combination of products - she was so easy to work with. Mike was the definition of a perfect Project Manager - he was responsiveness while we were building from a distance - always taking calls and sending much appreciated pictures. He helped us get the home to be our home in every way possible. Jessica in KHOV Mortgage was a godsend! From the very beginning she made herself available to answer every question about the financing process and was an absolute professional! She helped us navigate through the approval process and interest rate determination and was a therapist, too, calming our nerves all the while keeping us updated with the latest statuses. Marcia in the closing and settlement department is a top-notch asset to your organization. She knows her job thoroughly and was able to assist us at every turn making sure we settled on time! In summary, every customer touch-point in your organization was an absolute pleasure to deal with and we'd be pleased to provide a great recommendation for the purchase of a KHOV home - we certainly love ours! ... My objective was to find a 55+ gated community near to Disney. From the start of purchasing of my Sandpiper Villa with an honest salesman (Curtis) who guided me through the pricing of the lot, upgrade options, and still stays in touch with me to this day. The build process with my Construction Manager Carlos, kept me updated via weekly FaceTime, pics, and walk thru's, helping to ensure the quality of construction was over the top. Still waiting on things to be fixed. Screen door, paint. GC is responsive, but painters suck.

A long and laborious process. Some very bright spots. Sales agent Ken superb. 2nd mortgage agent Jessica superb (1st agent was full of herself and not helpful - I went up the chain & said she had to be replaced - I was then given the courteous, responsive and helpful Jessica). KHov mortgage agent Aaron top notch, could not have been better. Problems elsewhere - construction supervisor not even mediocre. Whenever I or my agent requested a meeting he had an excuse not to meet. Finally met him on the "pre-closing orientation"!. I was underwhelmed. Condescending and full of himself. Apparently thought I had never owned a home before (I have owned at least 10). After closing experience has been poor, warranty work slow, daily life adversely affected by KHov not monitoring the action of subcontractors. They routinely park construction and employee vehicles on the road leading to our court causing delays in ingress and egress. I have seen subs stealing electricity from home owners. The subs are not monitored or supervised by KHov construction managers at all it seems. I am satisfied with the house, but beware of being kept informed of construction progress, having to deal with unsupervised and monitored contractor employees and poor follow up on warranty work. By the way, I am not being a disgruntled buyer - I like this location and community, I am a retired U.S. Navy judge advocate, 25 years of service to this country. But all of the issues noted above could be prevented with some on site KHov management and supervision. I have advised 2 and 3 star admirals on international law and all legal matters. I know how to manage subordinates. KHov has not shown me that ability. I would be more than happy to speak with upper management about the concerns mentioned. ... More

I absolutely love it here! Beautiful grounds, low maintenance, perfect villa for me and very responsive. Quality materials. Best of all...8 minutes from Disney and I can see the fireworks from my house.

Real solid construction and management was responsive to us. The construction mgr and sales office personnel have become good friends.

Our construction manager sent us weekly pictures and updates since we were in Connecticut. He put our minds at ease with the progress of the construction

I love the neighborhood they created. There are lots of activities and many of the residents participate. The homes are a little bland from the outside but K. Hov offers nice options with which to design the interiors and make it your own.

I love my home but this is the first time I had a home built and it is very different from buying a used home. Forget Covid as an excuse to take so long. There was a month in the middle of the build that nothing was done on the excuse a letter was needed from the architect. My sales rep assured me the house would be done the middle of June. A contractor said not until August. I was going to be homeless the end of July so miraculously I settled the last business day of July. I had signed the contract the middle of November and provided all the financial records for approval shortly after only to be told in June I needed to provide them all again. This was quite a challenge as everything was in storage. As I said in the beginning having a home built can be quite an adventure. ... More

Hovnanian builds a good home and I would recommend them. All of the problems we have experienced can be traced back to speed and pressure to get homes completed. Your expectations should be set as such. Once the house is completed and they have your money, the speed to fix remaining issues seems to diminish considerably.

The design team did an excellent job picking the most liked choices to install in my home. I loved everything

From the initial encounter at the sales office through the closing, the transition into my new home was seamless. Everyone involved in the acquisition of my home was not only kind and considerate, but very knowledgeable and professional. The quality and workmanship of my home is unsurpassed. The project manager proved accessible and accommodating to my needs. My overall experience with KHOV is very positive. I highly recommend this builder and will not hesitate to buy from them should the need arise in the future.
