Poor workmanship. The houses are built so fast, I’ve had many issues, the materials used seem cheap. Nothing special about the house. KHOV had been very responsive to fixing all the issues but during the building process not willing to change or add simple things.

Love our new home and community. One major negative. Hot water system is very poor. 2 and a half minutes to get hot water to the master bath. Froze up during recent freeze and had to get our own plumber because Warrenty couldn't get someone to help us immediately.

Laurie, our sales rep was very proficient and professional. She was the best part of the progress. Generally very pleased with our new home and K.Hov. The 30/60 day punch out process was not smooth until the new warranty portal was release, then things smooth out.

Biggest disappointment is they sell you on all these that they offer but turns out not to be true.

I have been in the business for 45 years and some of the finishes are among the worst I have seen. The caulking and painting were and are horrrendous. Hovnanian needs to screen its subcontractors better. They have both on every possible surface in the home. I have no issues with the construction team as well as the sales team. They both were very responsive to our needs and requests. Overall I like how the home was built and the majority of the materials used but not how they were treated by the painting contractor on site. We were expecting a much more professional job, considering the cost paid for the home. I will do the repairs and fixes myself when it comes time for the yearly punch list. ... More

It was great there were a few things I didn’t know about Arizona laws . But it worked out in the end. You can’t move in until the home is registered in your name at the county. The get back to you to correct things in the home, after you move in are none existent, been here 5 mouths and still haven’t contacted us.

The builder had to correct/change a lot of poor workmanship areas. In my opinion our inspector and the builder had to hold below average craftsmen/construction workers to a higher standard. K Hov’s builder was an excellent communicator & checked on as well as corrected multiple flaws. This especially evident in the painting. Zach had to request a change in painters. Our sales person was also instrumental in this process as well (Rick). The follow up after closing, for utilities, HOA specifics, & general information about the community was poor. I thought they said they’d replace filter in 30 days and it hasn’t happened in my first 2 1/2 months. Also promised a replacement closure for the bent one on my screened in porch door. Missing a downspout piece to divert water from my house in the front. But overall , love my house!

Quality of materials and workmanship do not even come close to producing the “luxury home” level result that KHOV promotes and advertises. What the builder considers “contractors grade” materials, I would expect to see more fitting in an affordable housing project. This house (like all the others on my street) were built much too fast and we were pressured to close escrow quickly before solving all the flaws during the walkthrough. Our best experience was the actual purchasing process. The sales staff was nice, however, they could have had more knowledge about the yearly climate and surrounding neighborhood environment. ... Beautiful development with lovely residents. Most frustrating part was getting a response with a question during the buying process and after purchase if an issues was found.

The #Warranty team is top-notch anytime I have a problem I fill out a request and they are back at me within 24 to 48 hours and the problem is fixed within 2 to 3 days the building manager Mike is also top-notch five stars for always helping me out and stopping by even when the project is done and asking if I need anything

Great and patient sales rep. Goos programs for home maintenance, etc. Moree transparency is needed regarding condo issues.

We love the home overall. Not crazy about the interior paint. It's hard to clean. We wish some of the cosmetic issues with paint, stucco etc could be addressed prior to the 10 month mark. Diana was great as we purchased the home. Mike and Brett have been terrific in addressing issues and tying up loose ends especially 30-45 days after we moved in. I would rate their responsiveness and dependability as a 5 and Anthony's as a 1. That's how I get to an overall rating of "3" above. The house is well constructed and the neighborhood is beautiful.

Great experience with sale agent Jennifer the best. The loan person in Florida no very good. The solar company contracted is very bad with their customers service.

Nothing nor to add for review

Check the options prices before you buy. Sometimes it is worthwhile to get the basic and upgrade the house or remodel yourself. Weight the options!

The quality of the kitchen cabinets is poor. Paid for upgraded kitchen cabinets. They are not real wood. Should have had the option to upgrade the padding for the carpet. The drywall and painting could have been done better.

The area between our house and our neighbor's house was a swamp. We found out later this had been an issue long before we closed on the house. When we contacted the warranty people, we were told by Jeff O. that our warranty for flooded turf was not under warranty. We tracked down our builder Dave P. and he managed to help resolve the issue. We had issues with Jeff O, the entire time on other issues as well. Finally, we just flagged down Dave P. and despite how busy he was, he managed to resolve any other issues within a couple minutes. I bought a house that was already purchased by another buyer and they backed out and we took over the house 3 months before we moved in. All of the extras were already picked and we could not make any changes. I wish we had bought the house first hand and picked out all of the extras we wanted. We like the house and love the community.

We feel very comfortable with the realtor experience with Pam she was great!!! So far the builder has responded to all issues except one. There is a water leak on the first floor in building 19 that comes close to the unit on the first floor. The builder stated it was a simple fix. Second hard rain it happened again with no response from the builder. This can be a serious problem if water continues the building. Trash pickup has been a issue no shows on pickup days.

HOMES PRESENT HIGH MONTHLY PAYMENTS FOR HOMEOWNERS AND SEEMS LIKE FUTURE HOA INCREASES IN THE FUTURE WILL ADD TO HOMEOWNERS CONCERNS. ALSO FRONT LANDSCAPE DOES NOT HAVE MUCH APPEAL AT ALL IN MY OPINION.

The buying process was generally good, the the designs and workmanship in the house was good, and we are very happy with our new home. A few issues don't get good follow up the builders are very busy and slow to respond. Overall it's a lovely community design that meets expectations.
