Frustrating experience to get to closing. Settled even though long punch list. 30 days post closing still trying to resolve punch list. Tiresome process and puts a damper on the experience with builder.

The good was the weekly emails with photos of construction progress. Although closing was delayed 1 month because of material delays, we were satisfied with how we were kept informed of the delays. We were very very disappointed in the choices and prices of upgrades offered. Upgrades were far over-priced. For example, the KHOV cost to upgrade from a GE Profile to Monogram refrigerator was $1,630, when the Monogram refrigerator actually cost $330 less if purchased from GE or at Best Buy. I love the home and the community, great home design. However, it was a painful process and we were not happy with the customer service we received throughout the organization. Went through 3 construction managers; finally got a very good one as our last one (Sal, great guy). Home has lots of imperfections/punch list items, which don't seem that important to the builder's homebuyer services staff. Great Floor Plans

We love the model options offered for this 55+ community. The variety of floor plans can suit anyone's taste. Opportunities in the workmanship were repaired prior to us moving in but since we have been in the response has been very slow when issues have been reported. Care and attention must be addressed on the overall grounds in the development.

The builder was very pleasant to work with, but after being in the home for over a month now, there are some major items incomplete and many poor quality items (wood trim, painting, etc.) that you notice.

Our overall experience with K Hovanian was positive, however there were many bumps in the road. The design of the home is terrific and the location / lot selection met our needs. The build process was painful – reasons explained below, but also due to the demand of materials and trades that delayed our completion date by a month. They have the main relationship with the appliances company. When there is an issue they should leverage their buying power in order to get results in a timely fashion. Two months later, we still do not have a working oven.

Employees were wonderful. House is made of inexpensive material, ex. Truss roof, no mechanical attic vent, will inevitably lcompromise the life of the roof. compressed plywood. Hot water on demand was a good feature.

We ordered a faucet that was to be turned on by motion and contain a turbo feature because the water pressure is not what it is like in the north. Well when we received the kitchen faucet that we paid close to over $700.00 for, we were told that was what we ordered. However it did NOT come with a turbo feature. We have been going back and fourth now for over 5 months with no resolve. This response has mad me very frustrated. We are now thinking of going to corporate unless this review helps our cause.

Several Builder representatives are outstanding. Who you call for what can be unclear. Also, in some cases, too many people get involved in addressing a relatively straightforward issue.

The quality in this home is shoddy at best. We have lived here for 3 months and have had three leaks! The flashing was never put on parts of the house and garage. The shower head was installed incorrectly and not caulked sufficiently which caused a leak. The guest bathroom has a leak into the basement. The plumber is coming next week. For a brand new build it has a lot to be desired of wherever the builder could cut corners they did. It's the first time I had to put $30,000 our of mt own pocket to fix what the builder didn't do properly. One huge selling point was buyer owned solar by Sunnova unfortunately that company has announced it will not be able to go on as a going concern and will be filing bankruptcy. We were sold a 25 warranty on these solar panels we have no idea who will service them now. When you do your walk-through to see if their are any issues, take all the time you need to thoroughly, in great detail, to check out everything. Lost opportunity on a property. We were a buyer and ready to go to contract. Sales person didn't profit from this by not advising of all possible properties - build, ready-to-move-in homes. Discussion of these options left us "un-informed". Sales people should access their client and act accordingly. Know what your client wants, needs and can be worked with.

Homebuying process was OK. Quality of some material is ok, some not so great. Quality of workmanship is lacking in most all areas. Electrical work is suspect. We have had 2 calls to fix electric issue with dishwasher/disposal problem and still not fixed. The outlet for the dining table light is so far off center from the table it is completely unusable. Our purchase experience with KHOV was great. Since then, we've struggled with getting warranty work completed and completed with quality. The subcontractor work was not high quality. Interior painting was terrible, many spots just primed and not painted from ceiling to walls, bathrooms, etc. Warranty work after the fact with painting and patch work has been poor. Our air conditioner has been worked on three times for faulty parts including putting in 4-1/2 lbs of refrigerant. KHov does not stand by its product, homes. Their service orientation is zero and is more aligned with avoiding work. They are incompetent, lazy and in some instances outright lacking in truthfulness. They cannot be trusted and have no interest in the customer let alone doing what is right. Brian is especially bad and passes you to others with no sincerity. Really lazy and incompetent.
