Love our house and issues are being addressed. Wish the contractor were more careful but That is the world we live in. Quality is generally good.

In general the overall experience was very good. Khov kept us informed of the progress all along the way. The designs they offered were really good. The final product met our expectations. I will say that the quality of items such as window sills(particularly the edges) and painting could have been better. Additionally, it takes a long time for punch list items to get addressed. Also, for some reason the garage is not painted. For the price of the home, painting the garage should be included. The only other issue is the actual option selection process. Several options we wanted we were told were no longer offered yet months later they still show up as available options on their list. ... More

In this time of uncertainty and pandemic, trust is extremely important. The K Hov folks kept us informed and up to date all along though we lived in Colorado. We are very happy with the way things turned out.

Buyer beware! Everything went fine with the sales experience (excellent in fact), but once you get to the actual house - problems arise. Not unusual, but getting them fixed is impossible. Every homeowner here will tell you that there is NO attention to detail, and repairs are NEVER done. Very poor quality.

They made the process easy. The homes are beautifully designed. Lots of space.

My favorite thing about the house is the kitchen. It is spacious with plenty of cabinets, drawers, and walk-in pantry. The granite island is beautiful and perfect for food prep or any other projects that require space. I love it!

Hovnanian builds a good home and I would recommend them. All of the problems we have experienced can be traced back to speed and pressure to get homes completed. Your expectations should be set as such. Once the house is completed and they have your money, the speed to fix remaining issues seems to diminish considerably.

The sales person was very responsive and always answered my questions within a day. She kept me updated and frequently sent me pictures so I could keep updated on progress. Although the final home was delayed that was due to material shortages. The assistant construction manager was very thorough and took lots of time with me during the orientation and final walk thru. I am very happy with the final product.

Observations needed prior to settling: Don't let your guard down! Have an independent inspector or someone who knows construction go through the house with you to identify those things that need to be fixed prior to settlement. Once you have settled and moved in, it is very hard to get the repairs taken care of. Watch out for scratched sink basins and mirrors , rough cut lumber painted over, uneven window sills, imperfections on drywall painted over, broken tiles in floor of bathroom, unpainted surfaces on interior and exterior trim, concrete foundation cracks and breaks, exterior walls are 2"x 4"s not 2"x 6"s, garage floor rough finished, screens in exterior vents falling out, low water pressure in master bathroom, spray paint over spray on almost everything, Fireplace that does not work, ceiling wiring needs to be extended to safely hang electrical fixtures. Furnaces that are put in crooked and not aligned properly in drainage pan, Smashed drainage pans under CAC unit, Keep in mind these homes are built on concrete slabs not crawl spaces. Tim kept us informed during all phases. He responded to our concerns and questions in a timely manner. Tim turned over to us a fine house which we are happy to make our home. I will recommend him to others.

The builders try very hard to bring everything together.

Get a realistic closing date

I can only express my feelings and how I was treated. This person as far as I am concerned deserves a hundred stars. He presents himself well, knows what has to be done, and it gets done. When I called with questions, the phone calls were always returned. great guy, and I loved working with him

We can't say enough good things about our home building experience. From Monica in the Sales office, Jocelyn in the Design Center and to our Project Manager Nick it turned out to be a wonderful experience. We even closed on our home one week earlier than predicted. Great job everybody! Keep up the good work!

There was misrepresentation by the selling rep on our property, Buyer pays for their mistakes, contract covers them legally from any recourse by the buyer. They can return your deposit and walk away. Closed on a home that is still not complete on many issues and no promises on when they will be completed. My painter commented on the poor finishing on drywall throughout the home. They are building homes too fast without regard for quality, they proclaim themselves a high end builder, not the case. Treat their customers very poorly.

In general the workmenship was not what I expected.

We were new to new construction. There was no pricing or details about all the "extras" so we had no idea what the house would ultimately cost us. The selling agent was not well informed and did not communicate about many options that we later found were available (e.g. lighting!). A lot of pressure to make a decision immediately or the price would go up. We had to make large financial decisions without full information. Now that we are in the house we are finding issues with leaks and missing parts but the service department is unresponsive. We did not discover till we closed that we needed to take care of our outside trees and plants that we were not even allowed to select. The HOA is MIA. ... More

The sales associates were wonderful. Knowledgeable,helpful, insightful! Our contractor was helpful on many levels. The mortgage company was none of these!

The design team did an excellent job picking the most liked choices to install in my home. I loved everything

Quality of construction is poor.

From the initial encounter at the sales office through the closing, the transition into my new home was seamless. Everyone involved in the acquisition of my home was not only kind and considerate, but very knowledgeable and professional. The quality and workmanship of my home is unsurpassed. The project manager proved accessible and accommodating to my needs. My overall experience with KHOV is very positive. I highly recommend this builder and will not hesitate to buy from them should the need arise in the future.

So far it has been great

With high demand for their product and supply chain issues, I think the team here, from sales through construction managed very well. There were a few hiccups along the way with supply chain issues, but the C.M. handled them as expeditiously as possible. Communication could be improved, but the final product was as we thought it would be. Finishes, especially the kitchen and baths were above par. You have to remember you are working with a tract developer and getting familiar with the various upgrades and what you can and cannot have done is important to a less stressful process.
