They have the main relationship with the appliances company. When there is an issue they should leverage their buying power in order to get results in a timely fashion. Two months later, we still do not have a working oven.

From start to finish I had access to the progress of the build. Andrew our project manager quickly responded to questions or concerns.

Design and layout of the home is very nice. Workmanship looks good for now. At time of closing, home was not up to standard. Floors and carpet was not clean and lots of minor touch ups to be accomplish throughout the house. Trying to schedule work to be accomplished has not been good.

The buikding process was much faster then we expected from contract signing to close ~ 6 months.

the blending of the different subs seemed awkward, in that one sub would undo or damage the work from a previous sub. I believe that is why there is such a large punch list, inluding general cleaning and paint drop removal

What really made the difference in the sale were two things: Our salesman, Tom, who has been kind and super responsive in resolving our concerns The Better Business Bureau rating for KHov was very good

Very nice home and staff was very good keeping us up to date as it was being built. Several examples of sloppiness including a terrible grout job and sloppy painting which made it seem like they were in a hurry. Hopefully the grout will be fixed and the sloppy paint will be corrected.

It starts with the Sales Personnel Mrs. Barbera. She was always available whenever we had a question from start to finish even when she wasn't working. That experience was so valuable to us because we never purchased a newly built home. We were told that we can visit at any time during the building process, but make her aware of those times because it may not be safe for us to enter during certain phases of the construction. We really enjoy our home and it is coming together with my wife's fabulous design capabilities.

The team made everything in the process so easy. I have owned many homes during my lifetime; always a problem with something....Experienced no issues with KHov. My wife and I highly recommend the builder.

Design of the home is perfect!

Overall it was a smooth and fast process. The associates are pleasant and easy to deal with. Concerns are dealt with in a timely fashion.

The sales person was pretty much useless, would not communicate with us, dropped the ball several times with other areas of khov. There was no supervision by the construction manager during our build process, except maybe to come in the morning and leave notes for the construction crew. We had to make sure we came in to clean up before counter tops were put on, so construction crew trash wasn't left behind. The house was not delivered in move in ready condition, still in need of much cleaning before we could move in.

This is our second K-Hovnanian home. I can say that the problems that we encountered with our first home have been addressed with the second purchase. We are very pleased with the quality and responsiveness. Buyer must be aware that K-Hov is not a custom builder and the number of changes that can be made is very limited. You must also be sure of your final options selections as again it is very difficult to make changes once the order is in. We found helpful to visit other developments with the model we chose to enable us to finalize our choices.

It's only been 5 weeks but so far our new home has lived up to our expectations.

At the meeting to review your new home a folder giving information about how to care for your new home and warranties would have been appreciated.

From our first visit to the model homes and meeting Amy D and then working with her we decided to go through the build process instead of buying a move in ready. Since we lived so far away we were very hesitant to build because we would not be able to fly in and check on progress and even do the first walk through to ensure things were going as expected...totally hands off. We did everything by phone and the weekly calls from not only our primary contact but the building superintendent made us feel that we had indeed made the right decision and were working with a team of people that really cared and took pride in making sure our home met our expectations. The final walk through before title was signed was beyond what we had even expected. I think we only found three very small things that we asked to have changed and one of them was just an uneven backsplash tile...nothing with the build itself or our selected options could be faulted at all. The house is beautiful, however, there was some flaws that needs addressing. I've only been here two weeks so I'm trying to see how long it takes to address them.

The paint was not of a good quality and the painting was not to what I would call a professional job.

My wife Noemi and I couldn't be happier with our new beautiful-home-sweet-home. Special kudos to the phenomenal teams of Joshua, Janice, Brittany, Orange Coast Title, you've been so professional and supportive, it's been an awesome, welcoming home buying experience working with you all. We did not know that we had to finish landscaping until we moved in.

Every personal touch point from the salesman, construction manager and all of the office/admin team were very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and prompt when addressing questions and concerns along the way leading up to our closing and complete satisfaction. Great overall experience and home value.

I could not be happier, the amount of professionalism by the sales staff (Julie), the superintendent (Robert) the mortgage team (Ross and Emily) exceeded my expectations. This is my second KHOV home - highly recommend. So far the warranty team has been on top of everything

The Covid virus outbreak precluded us from having a physical walk through inspection which would have probably taken care of a lot of things we had to discover ourselves. As such I do not blame K. Hovnanian for this. They did the best they can. Drew and Eban were very professional and responsive to questions. I was a little disappointed by the sloppy way the fire box in the fireplace was installed crooked. I'm still waiting for that to be corrected. My biggest concern is the sod lawn. It's the most lumpy, poorly laid sod I've ever seen to the point it is dangerous to walk across without fear of twisting your ankle. It's full of clover and large gaps. It will hopefully fill in eventually, but the sod in the models looks great. ... More

Quality of workmanship & Materials: Focus is not on Quality of Materials or workmanship but on meeting deadlines and passing inspections. Numerous homeowners in the development had issues we have discovered during their respective builds. We had an issue with the foundation. Our concern was either minimized or discounted altogether in terms of responsiveness until we called the home office of KHovanian in desperation. The matter was addressed after that. Overall the builder focuses on getting things done at the least cost possible. The mark up on the upgrades is considerable. Our builder was competent but not supported by adequate help and supports.
