The process from the start was very smooth. Steve, the sales representative was very helpful throughout and answered all our questions through closing. The response from the Warranty Department has been excellent to date as well.

The process of purchase was good with a lot of different contacts and hands which worked together.

My sales consultant was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me purchase my home and went above and beyond with the closing of the property.

Several Builder representatives are outstanding. Who you call for what can be unclear. Also, in some cases, too many people get involved in addressing a relatively straightforward issue.

From the beginning of meeting the sales people and questioning what this area is like and what the homes were like and what all was involved we got a lot of answers upfront. I never once felt persuaded or intimidated to buy. I love the area and I knew I wanted to be here. I bought a home that was already built, and I never had to make any decisions as to what I was buying. And I still love it. As far as quality of what is in this home, I feel it is top notch for the most part. Was there hiccups?, sure. But what house doesn’t have that. So the people that fix the hiccups were super! I have no qualms about any of that thus far. I was truly scalable about getting one of these homes at the beginning, but because I loved the area I trusted the process and I am not looking back. I have a deep appreciation for my home and the community surrounding it. However, the purchasing process was accompanied by significant challenges, particularly regarding communication. There were inconsistencies regarding the finishes and appliances included in my chosen model, as well as confusion about the pricing of the homes. Additionally, the orientation of my home on the lot is less than ideal, as accessing the backyard necessitates using a side door, which feels somewhat awkward. Upon entering the contract, I observed a concerning decline in the purchase price of the home, which dropped by 10% to 15% within a matter of days. This situation has impacted my overall trust in the process and has raised concerns, especially as I intend to make this my long-term residence. Both my husband and myself are well pleased with the recent purchase of our new home in Four Seasons Carolina Oaks. We both are enjoying our new home and all that the community has to offer.

The quality in this home is shoddy at best. We have lived here for 3 months and have had three leaks! The flashing was never put on parts of the house and garage. The shower head was installed incorrectly and not caulked sufficiently which caused a leak. The guest bathroom has a leak into the basement. The plumber is coming next week. The paint is inconsistent, some areas look as if they were not painted at all! There are cracks and areas of the wall that are not typical “house settling”. There are wires under the kitchen cabinets literally hanging down and if you touch them the light goes out.The repose time is good yet this is of little condolence given the repeated times necessary for responses. There are areas that were not caulked. I would NOT recommend KHov to anyone! In fact, I would suggest they look elsewhere. Disappointing quality to say the least. Great place to live in,. it's quiet and has a lot of activities for residents.

For a brand new build it has a lot to be desired of wherever the builder could cut corners they did. It's the first time I had to put $30,000 our of mt own pocket to fix what the builder didn't do properly. One huge selling point was buyer owned solar by Sunnova unfortunately that company has announced it will not be able to go on as a going concern and will be filing bankruptcy. We were sold a 25 warranty on these solar panels we have no idea who will service them now. The HVAC system is cheap, the bathroom fixtures are cheap plastic there are too many things to go into here. Save yourself time money and aggravation buy preowned and stay away from KHOV. ... More

When purchasing a brand new home, do not assume everything will be perfect just because it’s new!! Do not assume everything works like it’s supposed to work. When you do your walk-through to see if their are any issues, take all the time you need to thoroughly, in great detail, to check out everything. Flush toilets, run the water in every sink to make sure you have hot water, try the air conditioner/heat system, open and close drawers, try the garbage disposal, check the overall workmanship of windows, flooring, etc. Talk to neighbors that moved in before you to get their input on their experiences when they moved in, their input is very valuable to you as you may experience some of the same issues or you may learn something you didn’t think of considering would be an issue. Example: Paint spatter all over the floor is something you may not see until you start cleaning your floors. We experienced this issue and it’s not an easy or quick fix! Also, ask about how the solar works, what kind of water is in the area, does our new home require a water softener system which is very costly. What type of internet/tv options are available in the area. Overall, just don’t assume everything will be perfect simply because it’s a new home! ... More

Our new home is beautiful but don't look too closely at the way it was built. The design had to have been done by a very tall man, with ceiling-high cabinetry and an oven that is almost impossible to reach. The paint is watered-down builder's quality. Thank goodness for the "fix it" department, because they do their best to make everything right. The buying process, if you overlook the lending process, went very smoothly.

After 3 months, we are satisfied with the quality and performance of K.Hov as a builder. There are some issues regarding who is responsible-builder or developer, but all things considered we are happy to date.

The homes and condos are so well done and there is a great community of people who are all so welcoming

When we met with sales team we felt good and a very positive process, while the house was being built we could see the work and that process was very open and consistent. Now that we are in the house we have had some issues but the team reacts quickly. My final comments are beautiful home but I would suggest to improve for future home buyers you should look at some other subcontractors, allow more quality upgrades, and have better cleaning crew when you turn house over to buyer.

I was having a great experience with KHOV until I saw the depth of the pool. Its 3 feet all the way around. The pool is embarrassing, not only to the homeowners but also to KHOV. It hurts their brand and casts a black mark against them as a reputable builder. I hope it was a big mistake and that they will correct the pool depth. It is hard to understand, who at KHOV, thought it would be a good idea to do a bait and switch and build a kiddy pool for homeowners over 55 years of age. Someone should be held accountable. KHOV should tell the homeowners that they will correct the problem at some point. I believe their future sale are in jeopardy. I am very disappointed because until I saw the pool, I was very happy with everything else. My review would have been five stars all around if not for the pool debacle. ... More

Lost opportunity on a property. We were a buyer and ready to go to contract. Sales person didn't profit from this by not advising of all possible properties - build, ready-to-move-in homes. Discussion of these options left us "un-informed". Sales people should access their client and act accordingly. Know what your client wants, needs and can be worked with.

The overall process starting with the sales office, progressing to the builder and now with warranty has overall been very good. More choices in home options and SOME flexibility with minor changes in the building process would be very much appreciated. Workmanship excellent except for painting which was only fair. We were very disappointed with McCrea when they wouldn’t come until next day for no heat call, which was caused by very poor job on their final inspection. Warranty group gets 5 stars. Frustration with having to replace almost all plantings and repair sod with were placed in freezing winter conditions- this requirement should change! ... More

Khov couldn’t have made the process of buying a new home easier and comfortable. Everyone to sales agents and workers were pleasant and helpful

Jennifer was a godsend. She stayed close at hand to answer any questions and help me with the very confusing process. John in maintenance has been trustworthy and quick to respond to any issue I have found since buying my home.

While product design is nice, it falls short on practical usability. Example: Office door top lock requires a human who is at least 7 feet tall.
