You have created some nice tools for the process of buying a home but you don't use it, always behind actual progress or completely unused for checkpoints

We had no issues with the builder but some issues with work completed by the tradesman. We had several issues at closing but the warranty team is great and got everything taken care of for us.

Do not close on your home until all problems are solved. You can let small problems go by, but please check your house carefully. It should take about 2 hours to do. KB will be awfully upset if your house is not ready to close. I closed without having a rear slider that wouldn't lock. It took 2 weeks to correct. My floor was in very poor shape; it took 6 weeks to have Serve Pro clean it. I'm still waiting for someone to clean the side of the house where painters cleaned their brushes and got paint on the house. Also waiting to have a stationary slider replaced due to a scratch. It's very difficult to get someone to answer your emails. I have one that's almost 2 weeks old that hasn't been answered. The company has forgotten that word of mouth is their best selling point! ... We were definitely told several things that did not come to be true which has frustrated us. We keep finding things that need to be addressed or fixed. Some things I expect from a new home. Otherwise, they are pretty responsive on issues and trying to make things as easy as possible. The bill process was great I love the customization we had at our house. We definitely do this experience again, but would addressed a lot of specifics first.

The process was relatively easy for buying a home and I was kept up to date on everything which made the whole process smooth.

Everything was awesome except KB Home Loans. They did not perform no were near the same ***** of excellence as the rest of the KB Home Building Team, such as sales, design, construction, etc. This was my 2nd KB Home in my lifetime and that's why I came back to KB because of my past experience with them 20 years prior. My recent experience with KB Home Loans was very much a K-Mart type experience. The rest of the KB Team made it a personal enounter. If it was not for Sales, Design, and Construction teams, I would have walked away. The incentive KB Home Loans offers if you use them is not worth the frustration. I have excellent credit and they were offering me products I did not want nor asked for in addition to costing more money. I had 3 different loan officers due to the lack of knowledge, lack of professionalism, and lack of communication. KB ***** will sell your loan and there after the sale customer service is less than marginal. I am a military and ***** enforcement veteran. If KB Home Loans made this a ***** experience. I would have been elated instead of disappointed. The KB Warranty people are on point and will take care of you. I would still recommend a KB Home if you utilize your own lender. Do your homework, research and ask questions before you commit to a contract. Be informed and stay educated in the home purchasing process. I would have given KB a 5 star in the overall home buying experience if KB Home Loans would have made this process a personalized encounter. ... More
