Smooth process in finding our home, closing and moving in. Follow ups were quick and thorough. All KB employees have been a joy to deal with. First two months have been very positive!

Everything up to closing on the new build was flawless and without issue, and even the small issues when the final walkthrough/acceptance was done was responded to in a quick manner and resolved.

Poor designs for the master's toilet (the door and the space) and the second bath.

KB homes worked hard to sell the house but once I got into the house I have ID'd a lot of flaws that were identified during the walk through and were not fixed. During acceptance I was told they would get fixed after signing. When I called customer service to correct it I ran into a dead end so i went to the the office where I was told they dont handle issues like that once the house is excepted. I would not reccomend kb homes to anyone.

This was my first time buying a home and there was a wonderful KB person helping us every step of the way! Everyone was so understanding of our questions and went out of their way to explain processes. When everything went through, they were just as excited for us as we were. By the end, they were our family!

KB homes have always been a great builder and quality craftsmanship.

The cement in my driveway and sidewalk in front of my house did not cure property. It is gray and speckled when every house on the block and around the corner is white. It’s not right.

This was the first (and probably the only time) I have had the opportunity to purchase a brand new home. My sales person was very knowledgeable and responsive. She was able to quickly get the answer to all my questions. There were a couple of small glitches I found, but they were addressed and taken care of right away. I especially appreciated the weekly status update. I was able to go over to my home site to verify that things were the way I wanted during each phase of construction.

The home I purchased in Tucson is overall wonderful. KB Homes designed and built a very good, solid home. It is in a great location, central to many conveniences. The home is priced competitively. The design is excellent, with a spacious great room as well as spacious bedrooms and closets. The home has some very nice views of the mountains. Upgraded floor tiles and kitchen cabinets and backsplash are beautiful. I have been looking for a house for about a year and this home was the first that met most of my criteria. KB sales agent was very helpful with the home purchase process. KB staff is friendly and want to help. However, there were many smaller issues that needed repair in the home prior to when I moved in and they did not all get fixed after the walk-through and prior to the close of escrow, So I now am still getting these things fixed a few months after moving in, which is not ideal. Many of these issues could have been prevented if the building superintendent or his staff had checked on the quality of their work. For example, dirty gloves and nails were left on the roof of the patio cover, paint was uneven, paint was found on carpet, floors, and even cabinets, master bath exhaust fan not working, master shower door was stuck and not lined up to close, front porch light was not working, half of the plants put in the front yard were poor quality or nearly dead. This is only a partial list but shows that home was rushed to complete on time without attention to quality. Customer service afterward was good and there is a good warranty on the home, but it would have been much better if KB found and corrected the issues prior to the client noticing. Also, with all the construction going on, there is often trash blowing over my front yard, and broken tiles and nails on the road. The common areas also have trash and broken glass which makes it difficult for me to walk my dog. It probably would be better to not allow clients to live in the area until all the construction is complete and everything is safe and clean. Overall though, I would definitely consider KB Homes if you find a home you like. KB has asked and listened to my feedback and hopefully some constructive improvements will happen. ... More

We are still waiting for our shower floor to be fixed, our final termite inspection and I have a paint issue we would like to discuss.

Poor experience

Home seems well build.. we have an outlet that should be half hot that is not, so we have a wall switch that does nothing. We never got a 60 day walk thru we were told we would get..

As a Real Estate Appraiser for 25 years I have dealt with many builders, both custom and tract, and I chose a KB home because of its quality , attention to detail and ease to work with. KB also makes it easy for a seasoned homebuyer or a first time homebuyer as they guide you through the whole process and work with all other facets of the purchase from financing to insurance and final closing. A final note: The service didn't end after the closing. Loving the small gated community of single story only homes!

Love our new home. Cassandra has been amazing with our questions, concerns and follows up by checking in.

I would say the majority of our buying experience was positive. We did not enjoy the financing part much. But when we switched to a different lender we were approved to buy in just under a month. The house is beautiful and the quality of craftsmanship a d attention to detail was more than what we expected. Our sales person was Susan O she made our process as easy as can be. Tom the Superintendent explained the whole building process to us and was able to get the house built a month ahead of schedule. If we had any issues and yes there were some. But that is to be expected Tom an Henk made sure they were fixed and got them around my schedule. Henk has been a good person to work with after the house is built Tom hands over the warranty work portion to Henk who will schedule whatever job needs done. Many upgrades, even construction ones like a covered patio, are offered through the design studio. They handled the process very well I thought.
