They should slow down a bit to maintain the quality of the craftsmanship. They rushed just to get it complete and get paid. Understandable, but bad idea.

It wasn't the best experience or the best material that were used for the house, but we had a pretty good experience. Always got notifications, updates and walk through's during the stages of the build. The material could use a big improvement moving forward.

All has been pleasant till now’

I was so excited to be a new homeowner at Valencia Fivepoints. My realtor Rolanda did an amazing job helping us find our new home. She went above and beyond to make sure our deal got closed. I just wish some to the KB representatives made us feel the same way as Rolanda did. She made us feel like we belong in this community and our goal of being a homeowner was valued. Rolanda is definitely a gem for KB Home.

Sales rep is very transparent. Building team is very attentive.

exterior home lights do not work. keep getting the run-around and have work order placed. cabinet has crack in it. tub has dent. no power or way to activate vent in 2nd bathroom on 3rd floor.

Material information was left out. After I took the keys, a few weeks later I had a qualified plumber and a selected electrician look at the work. The electrician questioned why my circuit breakers tripped off every other day, as soon as I plug my electric car into the 110 the breaker trips. The plumber didn’t understand why the drainage pipe for the air conditioner is above the 3rd FL bathroom on the room, since no other house nearby has this pipe sticking out. The overall experience (deposit through key delivery) had its ups and downs. The initial loan approval process was confusing and required multiple engagements to clear up what we wanted in terms of mortgage product options and terms. The build ran over planned time by several months. The initial walk through (approximately one week prior to closing) was unsatisfactory. We had multiple items that required repair, missing items, or general workmanship issues. After multiple re-inspections we did receive a quality product.

Love my house, love my community, do not love the experience

Sadly, I would never purchase another KB home. We had issue after issue after we moved in.

We picked up the home after another buyer fell out and the original design/materials were very cheap. Even though the materials were on the cheaper side, the construction was done in a hurried manner so we have stone counters with stains, crooked cabinet handles, chipping doors and other issues.

KB Home had good customer experience but materials and quality were not up to par compared to other homebuilders.

I initially enjoyed working with the KB people. What I want other homebuyers to know is almost all the basic things that should be included with the home is an upgrade (meaning more money)! Was told that I had an extra 28,000 for additional upgrades.I was mislead & couldn't get the patio that I really wanted so badly!

Beautiful designs of homes, but the quality of the materials used interior/exterior was not satisfactory. Also, some structure choices are questionable when it comes to sound deadening.

Material this house used was cheap even we paid for upgraded

As owners we have had to deal with numerous issues, from paint , drywall, cabinetry, hardware, and electrical. It has taken a lot longer than we think it should have to resolve these issues. We're also lucky that we have somebody in the house to be there for all of these various appointments that have had to be made to take care of these issues. If not, either my wife or I would have missed quite a bit of work to be at the house.

I bought a new construction home from KB Homes and I have mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, the staff at the office was pleasant to work with and they tried their best to accommodate my needs. The rates were high, but that’s the market and I don’t blame KB for that. I did have some issues during underwriting, but they were not KB’s fault. On the negative side, I was disappointed with the standard items included in the home. They did not match the price I paid for the home and I felt like I was getting a low-quality product. I think KB should have included more features in the standard package, such as a smart doorbell, higher quality finishes, and better lighting. All those things had an extra cost and I had to pay more to upgrade them. The most frustrating part was the post-closing process. It was difficult to get items addressed after closing and I had to follow up multiple times to get things fixed. The only person who was helpful and responsive was Donald, who is my favorite person at KB Homes. He was professional, courteous, and efficient. My advice to anyone who is considering buying a new home from KB Homes is to not rush your closing and to inspect everything carefully BEFORE you sign off. My experience is need to work on communication when it comes down in fixing things in my house.

Model homes looked great, but after moving into the actual home, I realized the quality of KB Home is not top notch. You can tell people who painted and did the construction didn’t pay attention to details. You can hear impact noise from your next door neighbor. KB Home’s frontline employees (sales, superintendent) are great, but sr. leadership must drive quality for the whole company so it can trickle down.

Sales and finance were excellent. Rolanda and Brad did a great job. Disappointed with interior craftsmanship and finish. Sloppy work and finishes feel cheap. Multiple issues with the home. Resolution of these issues being accomplished slowly.

KB Homes throughout the sales and construction process is a good partner, however, once our home was delivered with a number of issues we have been unable to get any resolution from KB. They sold us the home in a manner inconsistent with how it was sold and then disappeared. Quality is fine, though there are major oversights and issues with the home.

Sub standard material and selections were offered based on the price of the house. As an example the primary bathroom vanity cabinets have no drawers for storage, unlike earlier phases and model homes, closet door selection was sub standard as well, they had no real options for stair railing options. I could go on and on these are just a few items I had to start a list because it got that bad. When comparing the KB homes in this community to the KB homes in Irvine (which are priced comparable) the selections and quality are night and day. We've had a few problems. 1: heater was never hooked up properly. 2. Whole house fan stopped working after trying to turn it on once. 3. Communication to customer was lacking or non-existent. 4. Brand new countertops were faulty and had to all be replaced. Communication to Construction crew on behalf of Customer was lacking or non-existent. All our problems were eventually fixed, but they really were fixed thanks to construction crew because KB themselves did not communicate to construction crew or customer very well. We had to replace the brand new countertops after weeks of asking for repair or fix. Then when the "fix" was approved, we were only contacted by countertop company, NOT KB homes. Attempt to replace the countertops was never conevyed to Construction crew on site (who needed to be a part of any touchups afterwards and before repairs, unhook sinks and remove stove) Construction crew once again saved the day. They were very good at communicating and helping get all things in order while KB did not communicate with them or us. KB has left a bad taste in my mouth as a new build home buyer. After moving in calls for repair was ignored

Need to improve the quality and workmanship of the homes. There’s a lot of issues with appliances, cabinetry and lack of quality with the finishing touches of the home. Need more attention to details specially with the design center. Lots of mistakes with the choices so it’s back and forth communication to get things resolved is painstaking. I don’t have any complaints with the sales person. Paxton is always on top of any issues and concerns given to him.
