Positive home buying experience but once you move in it’s a different story

I have a complaint and for some reason HOA doesn’t answer nor does the office. It seems customers needs don’t matter to those who work for this company. It’s very degrading to the customer and definitely doesn’t make anyone want to suggest KB.

final corrections took way to long, over 30 days to correct from final walk thru.

I would advise other buyer to be alert. Pay attention during the building process to avoid issues like I have been dealing with. Ensure everything is built correctly. Be involved, and ask questions.

Find the house was amazing. I love the community. I love my neighborhood, but regarding issues in the home like the tub has a hole that was mentioned since the beginning to the supervisor has never been fixed. I have three months already living here in my home. also insulation in the garage was promised to put because I have a disabled son that exercises in the garage and still not a phone call to schedule an appointment lighting on my doorbell is not working The tubs of the restroom are dirty since the beginning was mentioned to supervising said that they were gonna be repaint also is not done and more little details like invasion of privacy, taking pictures of my backyard. ... The Sales office (Christina) is Great. The Home orientation and warranty guys are real good and responsive. The KBHome Mortgage office is quite inept. They seem to not have their act together to get the information for loan processing in a timely manner. Took 3 months to get this closed!

My Kb home is a quality built home. I'm very happy with the construction and details to the finish work. The sales team (Mark and Kristal) are always happy to help with your questions. It was nice to receive weekly status updates when my home was being built. After move in the service at my home from Juan has been great. He goes out of his way to make sure that your needs and questions are taken care of. While our remaining track of homes is still under construction Kb has 24/7 security service to watch over our new neighborhood.

The process was pretty quick and smooth! All questions were answered and whenever I had to reach out to someone, I got quick responses.

Just know the home buying experience is a little longer with KB homes due to the amount of documents you’re constantly signing. Other than that the house was well built and any issues have been dealt with in a decent amount of time.

Overall I had a pleasant experience with KB Homes. From the time I first set foot in the sales office, everyone was very welcoming and kind. You would think that is only because they want your business and while that is a big part of it, I did sense that it went beyond that. Every single person from sales to the lender to the builder on site took care of me. I really did feel like part of the local KB family. I have had new homes before and it was never as warm and welcoming as this was. It was a treat to go into the design studio and choose my decor (although I do wish there were more choices). And when I changed my mind it was not a big deal, they happily changed it. Meeting the team who actually built the home was great too. The construction foreman and workers never minded my questions and openly showed me their work. I never felt that they were being sneaky or just slapping up another house. Was there things that could have been done better- of course but they are minor cosmetic things. The loan process was the most stressful but even then, the team handled it with professionalism, finding a loan term that fit my budget. I will say the only blemish on this review is KB corporate. They are in the business of selling houses no matter what it takes and it shows. They rushed deadlines and got pushy with even their workers whom they viewed as dispensable and for that I would knock down a few stars for. Things happened after we moved in 2 weeks. 1. My garage floor concrete is cracking. 2. The sides of the windows have cracked. 3. The sprinkler system is running irregularly. I have reported these issues to customer service but nothing has been resolved.

We love many things about the home. It is very efficient with energy and water and is very easy to clean and maintain.

Overall the experience was great! If possible I would go through KB once again. I even am telling family and friends to go through KB.

First time buying a new home from the KB brand. Our previous home purchase was also a new home but from another builder. Needless to say we had some experience on the steps to follow when agreeing to purchase to move in. I must say that KB does have a good quality home and that we are very statisfied.

Good buying experience with sales and escrow.

Home buying experience was smooth some issues. I have expressed in other surveys that I took for KB homes. As far as the build once completed there was still some cosmetic issues that were not fixed and some workmanship issues with dry walls and electrical. We recently completed a home purchase with KB, and overall, we are pleased with the results. The builder was notably flexible during the purchase process, accommodating our requests and making the experience smoother. While the project did take longer than anticipated, they were diligent about providing updates to our realtor, which we greatly appreciated. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the classification of certain features as upgrades. For instance, items we felt were essential for a modern home, such as LED lighting in the rooms, were considered upgrades. We believe such features should be standard in today's housing market. Despite these points, the quality of the construction and the team's responsiveness were good. We would recommend to anyone looking for a flexible and communicative builder, but suggest discussing what is included as standard versus upgrade early in the process. ... More

We had a good experience with KB homes You get a nice home for the money spent and the KB team members are very attentive and supportive.

The overall buying experience was good, sales, loan agents are amazing but the customer service doesn'y respond well amd at times are agressive when can't find their own community in their list to initiate a service request. Quote unquote by service guys 'Know your community name first and then call for service request' I am very well aware of my communuty name I am a new home owner. They cant find their own builder's community and be very rude.

Overall, we had a decent experience. My husband is a contractor and can confirm the majority of the workmanship and materials is excellent. We did experience issues with shortcuts being taken on finish work and it is my advice to be VERY involved, take LOTS of pictures and communicate concerns in writing the minute they occur. I do wish we had insisted on power to the home for the final walk through - we could have avoided things like appliances not working correctly and outlets that were not connected. The design studio is fabulous! BUT - know your prices - there are things they offer (e.g. front door lock upgrades) that are inflated 300% - those things you can save $ and do yourself. Also - read everything - and I mean everything very carefully - we had to send back our design plan 4 times for corrections. The communication of the entire team - ALL people we interacted with throughout the buuying process was stellar! The sales team, job supt., finance dept, etc. all made sure we knew what to do. The fact is - with a new build there WILL be issues - count on it and know this. The key is to stay on top of post closing communication. I have learned that clear, kind and consistent communication and accountability helps get issues resolved. I do wish they were available for warranty work on weekends - we have had to miss a ton of work to deal with post closing issues. Plan accordingly. Overall - we would definitely work with KB homes again - I have family and friends who also had very good situations and experiences. These individuals were very informative, helpful and kind. They were all extremely knowledgeable and efficient at their jobs and were able to troubleshoot any and all challenges that arose. I am more than appreciative for each of them. KB Homes is certainly fortunate to have them.

Process was good. Diana was amazing. Once constriction started, it was ok. Learned that they will be fast and sloppy. We went every week to experience the "new built" saw issues even tho we are not builders. Told them so our closing date was not effective. The issue was accent lights. They missed that and many small things. If they want to earn credit for the amount they toon to build, still not impressed. The quality was disappointing. Now I have to sit here and get with people to come correct the job at my concinicence having to cancel my appointments to accommodate them. Live my home but won't ever buy from KB ... More
