Great experience

My experience has been nothing short of amazing. At no point have I ever felt pressured or stressed out. After you move in they actually come by the check if everything is okay. They wave when I drive down the street. Once you buy a KB home you really will feel like KB family. It’s weird but true.

Everyone is professional with their line of work.

Very dissatisfied... before moving in things were already breaking. Front door handle fell apart, fire extinguisher fell off and broke when someone walked over it upstairs, windowsill paint/drywall mushed when it rained. I HATE that you can hear everything if someone is walking upstairs, talking the walls are to thin, and the fact that everything is an upgrade $600 K for a poorly made cookie cutter home is such a big disappointment.

The experience started off a little troubling dealing with the sales office. Once we showed serious interest in a new home purchase, every thing everything was suddenly rushed. Hurry and give a deposit, hurry and sign mountains of paperwork. Always giving me deadlines. At one point I, asked for an extra day to have my attorney review the contract for the lot/future home. The next day I received an email from the sales office telling me our contract was void, that our lot was now back on the market and if I wanted to restart the process, the cost of the lot will go up $2000! Another thing that seemed rushed was picking options on everything. I don't feel you can make all of your decisions in one sitting and be confident in those choices. There should allow more than one session at the design studio so you can be sure you are happy with your choices. During the building process we would stop by and check on the progress. The framing seemed fine. I do not know all the codes the have to follow so I assume the framing is good. But seeing the drywall going in, I started noticing obvious concerns. There were places that broken sheets of drywall were installed and cut outs around outlets and switches were huge, to the point that they had to fill with mud because outlet and switch covers would not be big enough(many were like that after texture and paint). Maybe this is standard practice in the construction industry? I don't know. Then the part that truly matters, the finished product that everyone sees, was disappointing. The paint job was sloppy, workmanship is poor. Outlet covers and switch covers had paint on them or some places they didn't paint close enough so there is a noticeable gap with no paint. I found places when the window sills were painted, they also painted parts of the window frame and just left it like that. Couldn't they remove the covers and use tape to prevent this? Maybe they don't as a common practice in that industry? Again, I don't know. There are places where the baseboard is pieced together instead of just using one piece. I'm not talking about 6, 8, 10 feet or whatever length a full piece is. I'm talking about joints a couple feet apart. That would be fine but at least make a real attempt to hide the joint. Some of the cabinet were all scratched, doors scratched or with small holes all over. I could go on, but you get the idea. Obviously a very rushed job all the way around. This is in a home that costs about $500,000. At what price point do you get quality work??? I thought for that price, I shouldn't be seeing the poor work that I am. I do have to say that KB has gone back over and tried to fix some of the issues I raised. But when the overall workmanship started out poor, it is difficult to make it all good. Every detail that was put into our home was great, the staff was nice and helpful. We had a wonderful experience buying our home.

I have been so pleased going through this entire process, and with our beautiful new home. Pam was wonderful to deal with on the paperwork side, and Mick has been first class and on top of everything on the field side! We are so happy we chose to go with KB Homes!

We first spoke with Sherrilyn, she was extremely knowledgeable and made buying a home easy. She gave us a great first tour of the homes and was very personal and was great to work with. It was an awesome experience to speak and work with the supervisor Daniel as he was very interested in making sure we knew he was there for us in any situation. Daniel continues to check in with us for any issues. We had a small water leak in the garage from the hot water heater and as soon as we found it and called Daniel, he had the leak fixed and the sheet rock around it replaced within 24 hours. He is an absolute pleasure to work with. We feel Sherrilyn and Daniel are a part of our extended family. They are there for us any time of the day. Thank you ... More

It’s okay

VERY impressed with the follow-up attentiveness to even minor issues. Kevin and his crew do a fantastic job of making sure everything is, in his words, "perfect." I wish there had been some kind of backyard (rock or sod) completed prior to move-in. The unusual rain has created problems with the drains, and the sprayed on mulch is washing away.

From the start buying , during construction process , they always are ready to work with us. Good communication skills.

I had the best experience with qualified personal and the quality of service was on time and made easy. Working with our loan officer and sales representative LaVon were always professional and Josh and Josh helped anyway they could, very professional

Be patience as other homes are being built around and this creates lots of construction traffic with dusts.

Any issue I had Drew was on it! He always kept me informed and did everything he could to make sure my needs were taken care of.

Love this house

We have been searching for the perfect home to downsize, and have been looking for the right property for well over a year that had a number of amenities we wanted. View, private yard, single story, location, etc...On our way to sign a purchase agreement with another builder, we happened to take the road less travelled and saw a new development and stopped by. The first model we entered had both of us smiling. It was exactly what we had been looking for. Single story, large inviting great room, accordion door option, outdoor living option, and the perfect floor plan for us. Checking with Jeff in the sales office, there were a couple of available lots with privacy and views. Needless to say we found the ideal lot. That was just the beginning of our journey with KB Homes. While we had heard some negative things about the company a number of years ago (under different leadership), we took a chance. Needless to say we have had one of the best home buying experiences ever. Every step of the way we met with amazing representatives. From the initial sales team, the interior design team, the construction super, and the post move-in team have been nothing short of exemplary. The home was built with care and with all the tech-modern enhancements. I have even walked the entire house with a lit candle to see if any leaks/drafts around windows, doors, etc. and it's bullet proof. The monthly savings of an energy efficient home was important to us, and by our calculations we will save well over 15k a year (yes, seriously!) over our last home. Upon move-in we found a couple minor paint issues that were resolved in a few days (they gave us the can of paint if we ever need it in the future)...All in all we are completely satisfied with our decision and look forward to many years living here. ... Great follow up from sales person to supervisor

Great price, value and property

So I moved in I December and during that time until now 2 pipes outside have broken. Also it jacked up my hard to which I’m still waiting to get fixed. The AC is a massive issue at first it was set up incorrectly once that was fixed now it makes a super loud sound. The AC people say there I nothing wrong but the sound is differently than when I first got it and even worst I have to turn off the unit at night so I can sleep

Friendly and willing to help with anything

There is a tremendous amount of peace of mind in purchasing a new home. My home purchase and the responsiveness of the staff has far exceeded my expectations.
