Nicole was the highlight of our home buying experience. She put forth all the effort to ensure our family would be taken care of through the home buying process. Home quality is up to standard with only minor issues that have been getting resolved in a timely manner. I would recommend KB for new home buyers.

The sales side of the transaction was very good. The mortgage staff was helpful, the realtor that sold us the home was helpful at getting us a fair price, and informing us of deals. That was a very positive experience. Downside was samsung products. A month after moving in the oven broke and there's no warranty to cover it. I contacted KBHomes customer service and they said a warranty was available through Samsung but Samsung said no it is only available 1 year from date of purchase. Either way I was caught in the middle and had to pay $2k for a new oven. Not good when you buy a brand new home and use a stove 1 time. There was some painting issue that we pointed out to the community rep and he still hasn't given us the paint name or come by with the paint (like he said he would) to fix the paint issues. Our home buying experience has been good overall. A few minor problems have occurred and KB has been responsive in solving them.

Mortgage team is great and great incentives for veterans. We got everything we requested. Great and easy process.

Construction process was well explained and manager kept us updated on progress. Pre and post sale resources are good, issues identified are being rectified on time.

Closing was delayed due to a water pressure issue that should have been foreseeable. We have over $1 million in escrow for more than a week that could have been earning 5.4% interest.

Overall the process has been pretty good. The team delivered on a specific date that facilitated an out of state move which was critical. Even though Liberty and Cadence are both KB home developments, there appears to be an unofficial class system with Cadence appearing to have more benefits. The response to the final punch list appears to be a little delayed relative to earlier interactions with the team. May be due to availability of contractors and not related to KB management of the process.

My husband and I felt our second home buying experience went smoothly with the exception of delays which at times couldn’t be helped. We enjoyed the sales office personnel and the ladies were both very helpful and prompt. The complaint that we have is that several things ( crooked drawers, crooked appliances, crooked fences) were installed poorly the first time then the tradesmen had to come back to install correctly a second time. A better eye for detail needs to be embraced so that there isn’t poor workmanship passed on to the owner and more work later for KBHomes.

Very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. It was great to have the piece of mind of an experience company building our first home.

The process was pretty good, fairly streamlined.

Some slight issues here and there after moving in but KB has been extremely responsive. Thanks to Thom, Dave, Jesus, and all the people at KB for a wonderful home.

So first time home owner on my own. They delivered the home a few weeks ahead of schedule, but all fixes that needed attention took weeks to correct. I did have quite a few issues, but when I reported it, managers took care of it right away and were pleasantly attentive. Definitely a value for any one purchasing with KB. I would recommend that upgrades be done after closing . Costs are quite high for what you get with their design center. Over all, very pleased with my choice to purchase here. This review is after 2 months of occupancy. Used KB to finance and homeowners insurance.

Only problem I had was there were alot of work debris left over from construction. But once addressed the issue was promptly taken care of. I was also not getting communication from the loan guy that was assigned to me. At first would not return calls until the next day or very later that day and would sometimes not know what to the answer was, even with simple questions. Def5did not have a great experience with that. (The current loan officer).

Over all, the customer service of Kb has been great. We have had a few issues moving in, but KB has been extremely responsive and has resolved everything in a timely matter.

Overall, the home was constructed well. That said, greater focus on small details would have made it better. One example is the placement of the water pipes underneath the master bath sink. The placement takes usable space away from the interior of the cabinet. On the positive side, Rory and CJ have been great in quickly responding to issues.

It has been over 12 weeks since we purchased the home with 6 solar panels. The sales lady told me she was going to follow up in setting up solar connection and I don’t need to do anything about it. Thus far there is no progress nor any updates despite my repeated asking. This is pretty disappointing and I find KB homes ranking worse than Beazer with regard to Solar operation.

We found KB Cadence when it was a dirt lot. We were urged to put down our earnest deposit and sell our current home to secure a spot for the new home that would be complete in 6 months. Great! However, the 6 months turned into 1 year and 6 months. In that time I had to move three times because no one could provide an accurate completion date. So much so that we stopped getting an idea of when the house would be done altogether. Agonizing and displacing. It would have been nice to have clear, consistent and (at the very least) transparent communication/expectation setting with accurate lead times way before they started taking deposits (my neighbors all share the same sentiments). Once the home was done it was such a relief. However, I wouldn’t buy in this manner again. Sue and Rory were very kind and friendly through the whole process and understand they were put in a difficult spot. Overall the home and location are beautiful and we believe our home was built with quality materials. The neighborhood is wonderful and it feels like home. However, some of the design is poor - like having your neighbors A/C unit in your backyard and a landscape drain that doesn’t drain, rather it floods instead. ... More

The home buying experience is stressful time but they stayed on schedule the entire time and I closed earlier than expected. There was little choice of selection of finishes unless you wanted to upgrade….for the price they should have offered more options included in price. Just moved in so my issues are being taken care of slowly. Everyone has been courteous and helpful.

Nicole and Angelina helped us get through the buying process. They provided a lot of information, resources, and followed up consistently to make sure we got all the things we were asking for

I think new homes these days are never going to be great quality, just because of the rushed deadlines. The best you can hope for is a builder who takes accountability and will fix things (even if it does take a while).

Kb did a nice job on the house but three weeks later I still cannot get a few minor items repaired

Home looks beautiful. Staff is great and some things were out of their hands but the overall experience has been good.

We bought our house from KB Home in Valley Center, CA. I asked a sales rep not to rush closing the deal as I wanted to avoid any mistakes. She made us feel that we had no choice, but to buy one of "the last two" houses left, while a half of the community was still being built. Then she neglected to offer us to customize our house in their KB Studio. The house, which she offered was completely built out and we had no choice, but to agree to buy it as it was without any customization. The funny thing is that they are still showing and building those houses. Was she lying to us in the first place trying to close the deal by the end of the month? Had she completely ignored her customer's wishes? She could have offered us another house, which they were still building and let us customize it to our taste. After the deal was closed, we noticed that the house had not gutters installed. She told us that the gutters were the optional feature and should had been ordered at the KB studio before the house was sold. The problem was she never even mentioned their KB studio to us. What a catch 22 situation! :) As for the house, I think this a very solid house for its price. The quality is good, but if you want something better, just make sure you ask for KB Studio design session to be arranged. Otherwise, you will end up with the most inexpensive options. The rest of the team on site was quite responsive to our needs and requests, when we had a couple of small issues after we moved in. So, overall, it is a good house for its price, but we were robbed of the joy of buying our dream house by a KB sales rep. ... More
