We had a wonderful experience in our community with our sales team, and construction team. I hear your experience really depends on these teams. If you ever get Braxton, Jason, Diane or Lindsay you are in excellent hands. Our Superintendents stayed on top of the crews to put together a quality, and sturdy home. The home is incredibly well insulated, and blocks out external noise very effectively. This is likely because of the Energy Star certification. Since it's a new construction, you need to set your expectations appropriately: no home is perfect. There will be minor flaws and imperfections. You could spend millions on a completely custom home and still wind up with imperfections and things that were done weird. But you can focus on the big things (e.g. concrete, electrical, plumbing, the guts of the house, etc) and ask questions about the little things (e.g. Should the transfer grill rattle when closing the door? The house looks good on the surface, however there were more and more issues cropping up after moving in. We are sitting here months after move in with holes in walls behind appliances, mice getting in from poor drywall in garage, sinks with stoppers that don't work, nails in walls, and poor out door railing that is so rough you cant run your hand up or down it with out getting a splinter. None of these issues seem to be getting resolved any time soon either since their customer service is slow and unresponsive.

4.5 stars. Subcontractors should be supervised more, just giving them notes on the upgrades failed several times.

We had a great experience buying our KB home. Kelly in the sakes center has been very responsive and on top of things. George the superintendent did a great job with our punch lists. We really enjoyed working with them. Very happy with our home.

Warranty group is has responded slowly or not at all to post closing issues

Absolutely wonderful experience! Kelsey found a home on the perfect lot, in my price range, and with the needed bedrooms and bathrooms. Home is wonderful and exactly what I needed. Lots of check ins with the local warranty person, but never needed it! Been in the home now for 60 days and still can’t find anything wrong. Great decision, glad I found KB homes!

Buying a brand new house is a scary prospect but KB Home really delivered on quality and service. From the praise made by inspector on the foundations, to their willingness to deal with every minor detail I could think of before closing and after moving in, to the fact that I could only find minor issues and half of them turned out to be just ignorance on my part, I couldn't be happier with KB Home as the builder of my new home. They earned my trust.

Within mere 2 months of moving in the new built home we have already faced so many issues in the working capacity of the house. Listing a few here - patio screen door came off, no electricity in the laundry room, kitchen cabinets are coming off, master bedroom door lock is installed opposite way , 2 bulbs are plunging out of the wall, and so on. We put in work orders and only 1 work order was done and rest all are remaining. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING. We bought 625,000 home for this,????? Need answers.

Jeff, our KB Home sales rep extended our closing date in order to accommodate our difficulty in selling our previous home.

The sales and construction team did a great job at keeping us well informed each week. Those check ins were very important to us since we were out of town buyers. We love our home.

The start of the buying process was great, everyone was nice, friendly, and communicative, but once we moved into the house, people stopped communicating with us and now we have to deal with a jerk who is our rep named Brett. I requested a new rep and the response is that we can't have anyone else. That's great customer service, make us have to deal with a jerk who has no interest in actually helping us or answering emails. We had large mistakes happen in the house and had to have them all fixed once we moved in. If you plan on adding an AC unit with KB homes, you'll want to check it when it's ran because they do a bad job at running it so that in just a few years, it'll go out. ... More

Nice floor plans but concerning craftsmanship. Terrible basic options which practically force you to pay extra to upgrade. KB has a long way to go to be a quality builder for the extreme price point.

I’ve had a leaking roof in my starlight kb home in the Central Park area for 5 weeks!! KB has sent the same roofer out three times and they have still not fixed my roof. It actually seems to be getting worse. I’ve also had my dishwasher broken, my AC not working. I have a hole in my siding and holes in the flashing of my outside fireplace that let mice get into my walls, and they scratch behind my daughters headboard in her bedroom. Nobody’s come out to seal the hole or the flashing or make sure that the mice are out of my walls. I’ve had a pond in my front yard from the neighbors sump pump, constantly running and leaking into my yard. I’ve had a leak in my indoor plumbing that went into the basement and I had drywall damage. All of the weatherstripping and window seals on my windows are falling off. The refrigerator molding is torn, and I have no power in my office or guestroom and haven’t for over a month. so, I’m Not exactly satisfied. And these are just the big things. ... More

We moved from Michigan to Colorado while our house was in the very early stages of construction. Our salesman and the two construction superintendents were helpful and accommodating during the build process. For obvious safety reasons, we followed guidelines regarding visitations to our home construction site carefully while making a frequent number of visits during the construction period. This had nothing to do with any trust concerns regarding kb Home. It was the way I was raised by parents and grandparents imparting to me how best to ensure a successful outcome wether the building project has residential or commercial. This build was for our “age in place” primary residence, We were very particular about the final product being what we expected. While virtually all building construction, especially residential homes, have a followup “punch list” of last things to complete even after possession, the kb Home process is extremely thorough! Communication before and after possession has been superlative. If you are considering builders, particularly residential, I highly recommend you consider kb Home as your builder of choice. ... More

We have had a great experience with KB homes. Have not turned in any warranty work yet and hoping to have good results with that as well. Staff have all been very friendly and professional. Gave responsiveness to issues a 4 because we have not turned in any issues yet and trust it will go well.

Purchasing any new home is a bit challenging - from financing to final walk through - its just part of the process. Yet overall, things went smoothly. I like the layout and the price I paid for the home. Overall - excellent.
