KB home did a great job

My experience was that they had great communication with me, on where the home was at each stage of the build.

Overall my experience with sales and finance were great. However the workmanship and follow up are very poor I still have issues with my home that should have been addressed prior to closing.

This builder is very responsive!! There were challenges with materials due to the pandemic, but KB was with us every step of the way!!!

We had a great experience with everyone from sales until delivery. Weekly communication with photos to update us of progress was reassuring. Our house was delivered as promised on time, even during the pandemic! Will definitely recommend KB Home to family and friends! Thank you!!

Overall the process was a good experience but the communication from our superintendent was not very good. Felt like we were in the dark most of the time. We had to ask questions and initiate all communication.

The people were great, but the construction was not. I can tell their homes are quick construction builds with many mistakes throughout, and the community is not done (shutters are missing paint, dents in the gutters, paint missing on buildings, etc.). I have submitted numerous requested for repairs and haven't gotten many follow-ups.

Kb homes warranty is great. The only issue are the 3rd party companies they use to fix problems can take awhile to get done. Marco electric didnt show up twice when scheduled.

I will say this from my title you can tell my experience was great with the individual departments above. However from the building process and dealing with the building superintendent that was my less desirable experience. KB needs to perform an overall of their building superintendent department and provide proper training. Building superintendents are suppose to be project managers and should be able tell customers exactly what’s going on with their home during the process. It took my house 11 1/2 months to be completed and that time included the closing date being pushed back 2 times. I understand COVID slowed things down but as a buyer things could’ve been handled better. And let’s be clear I was not one of those customers that was hard to deal with. I actually was very accommodating until my limit had been reached. How the Jonathan one of the Superintendent was helpful and always answering our questions. Always their when something needs to get done. How Demetrious is always trying to work with us with how things are and letting us know if things are getting done and else need to get done.

Jason our salesman was incredibly helpful, kept us informed throughout the whole process, not one question that we asked was ever not answered. If we needed something he would make some calls and get us the information we needed. Joe was also amazing. He kept us informed throughout the whole building process, step by step. Stayed on tip of any issues that came up and made sure the quality of our house was perfect. Man of his word as he quickly responded to any detail that needed touch up even after the closing. When we signed to buy our home, we were told verbally that our slider would be a foot shorter and the downstairs bathroom would no have a window. However, we were not told the gutter on the back of the building would be eliminated. You may say that the salesperson didn’t tell us. Fact is, it should have been in writing all the things the models and already built homes had which would be eliminated. Nothing. We could actually sue for the shorter slider and the window and gutters if we wanted because we were buying what appeared in the model and the already completed homes.

Title says it all in a nut shell. We know it's not a mansion but My rep Peter M. always kept us in the loop every week. Ty the construction manager followed up with us and while we are dealing with little things due to vendors they are always on top of it. They fixed small issues super fast and we feel like family with these two. TY does what it take to make sure your home is what you expect. Design center was great they listened to our wants and we didn't feel pressured. This is a vacation home for us so we weren't going crazy with fancy upgrades but did do the main ones and Stepfanie was awesome listening and giving us options. ... More

Buying with kbhomes has been a very stressful experience. Wish it was easier since we purchased one of the most expensive house they built in this area and the most expensive in our community.

Excellent community and environment to grow a family

Very poor finish mainly inside home, including but not limited to Cabinets, trim/moulding, doors, hardware, flooring has paint, caulking, grout, etc. on them. Missing moulding, moulding not lined up in some areas, excess caulking stuck to trim, gouges, uneven painting, hardware painted over. Walls had issues, home was filthy. Shower doors not lined up properly. All concrete cracked (large cracks) from day one. Other things wrong as well, never got 10 day, 30 day punch list. How home works never covered. Items were addressed most not completed closed end of April, this is August. We also have a sprinkler that is attached to our system that is on the other side of our fence/not our property and we are paying for the water from that sprinkler.
